< Efesase 5 >
Therefore imitate God, as his dear children,
and live a life of love, following the example of the Christ, who loved you and gave himself for you as an offering and a sacrifice to God, that should be fragrant and acceptable.
As for sexual immorality and every kind of impurity, or greed, do not let them even be mentioned among you, as befits Christ’s people,
nor shameful conduct, nor foolish talk or jesting, for they are wholly out of place among you; but rather thanksgiving.
5 Noga: le dawa: ma! Wadela: i uda lasu dunu, hou noga: i hame olelesu dunu, uasu amola mudasu dunu, (uasu dunu Ea hou da loboga hamoi ‘gode’ liligi ilima sia: ne gadosu hou defele gala), amo dunu huluane ilia Yesu Gelesu amola Gode Ea Hinadafa Hou hamedafa ba: mu.
For of this you may be sure – that no one who is unchaste or impure or greedy of gain (for to be greedy of gain is idolatry) has any place awaiting him in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
6 Eno dunu ilia ogogole gagaoui sia: dilima olelesea, ilia hou mae lalegaguma. Amo hou hamobeba: le, hame nabasu dunu da Gode Ea ougi hou ba: mu.
Do not let anyone deceive you with specious arguments. Those are the sins that bring down the wrath of God on the disobedient.
Therefore have nothing to do with such people.
8 Dilia amola da musa: gasi dunasi ganodini esalu. Be Hina Gode Ea fi ilima heda: beba: le, dilia gasi yolesili, hadigi ganodini misi.
For, although you were once in darkness, now, by your union with the Lord, you are in the light. Live as children of light –
9 Hadigi hou da ida: iwane liligi, noga: i hou, dafawane hou amola wadela: i hame gala hou, fage agoane legesa.
for the outcome of life in the light may be seen in every form of goodness, righteousness, and sincerity –
10 Hina Gode Ea hahawane ba: ma: ne hou dilia dawa: musa: , hogoi helema.
always trying to find out what is pleasing to the Lord.
11 Be noga: i hame liligi, wadela: i dunu ilia gasi ganodini hamosu hou, amo higale, maedafa ba: ma. Be dunu da amo hou yolesima: ne, hadigi amo ganodini olelema.
Take no part in deeds of darkness, from which no good can come; on the contrary, expose them.
12 (Wadela: i dunu ilia wamolegei hou hamobe amoma ninia gogosiabeba: le, sia: mu hamedei liligi agoane ba: sa.)
It is degrading even to speak of the things continually done by them in secret.
13 Be liligi huluane da hadigiga olelemusa: gaguli masea, ilia houdafa ninia noga: le ba: sa.
All such actions, when exposed, have their true character made manifest by the light.
For everything that has its true character made manifest is clear as light. And that is why it is said – ‘Sleeper, awake! Arise from the dead, and the Christ will give you light!’
15 Amaiba: le, dawa: iwane esaloma! Gagaoui dunu agoane mae esaloma! Be bagade dawa: su dunu defele esaloma!
Take great care, then, how you live – not unwisely but wisely,
16 Wali esoga wadela: i dunu ilia da wadela: i bagadewane hamonanebeba: le, dilia da hou ida: iwane hamomusa: gini logo ba: sea, hamoma.
making the most of every opportunity; for these are evil days.
17 Gagaoui agoane mae hamoma! Be Gode Ea hanai liligi, amo hogoi helele, noga: le dawa: ma.
Therefore do not grow thoughtless, but try to understand what the Lord’s will is.
18 Adini bagade mae ba: ma. Dilia wadela: mu logo da goea. Be amo yolesili, Gode Ea A: silibu Hadigidafa Gala dilia dogo nabama: ne, logo fodoma.
Do not drink wine to excess, for that leads to profligacy; but seek to be filled with the Spirit of God, and speak to one another in psalms and hymns and sacred songs.
Gode Ea gesami amola hadigi gesami, hea: ma. Dilia dogo ganodini Hina Godema nodone dawa: beba: le, Gode Ea gesami hahawane hea: ma.
Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord.
20 Liligi huluane amola hou huluane, dilima doaga: beba: le, Hina Gode Yesu Gelesu Ea Dioba: le, Ada Godema nodone sia: ne gadoma.
Always give thanks for everything to our God and Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
21 Dilia Yesu Gelesuma nodone dawa: beba: le, dilia dunu enoma dunu enoma dilia hou fonobone, eno ea sia: nabawane hamoma.
Submit to one another because you honor and respect Christ.
22 Dilia uda!
Wives should submit to their husbands as submitting to the Lord.
23 Bai Yesu Gelesu da Ea fa: no bobogesu fi ilima Hina esala.
For a man is the head of his wife, as the Christ is the head of the church – being indeed himself the Savior of his body.
But as the church submits to the Christ, so also should wives submit to their husbands in everything.
25 Udalai dunu! Yesu Gelesu da Ea fa: no bobogesu fi dunu ilima asigiba: le, ili gaga: ma: ne Ea esalusu fisi, amo hou defele dilia uda ilima asigima.
Husbands, love your wives, just as the Christ loved the church, and gave himself for her,
26 Yesu Gelesu Ea esalusu fisi amo ea bai da agoane diala. E da Ea fa: no bobogesu fi dunu ilia hou afadenene, Gode Ea sia: hano agoane amoga dodofele, Gode Ea hawa: fawane hamomusa: gini, Godema ima: ne, Ea esalusu fisi.
to make her holy, after purifying her by the washing with the water, according to his promise;
27 Amasea, sese da bu ida: iwane, wadela: i hame gala, ledo hamedei, amo ida: iwane hamoi fi E da eso huluane gagumusa: lama: ne, Ea esalusu fisi dagoi.
so that he might himself bring the church, in all her beauty, into his own presence, with no spot or wrinkle or blemish of any kind, but that she might be holy and faultless.
28 Dunu da ilisu da: i hodo amoma asigi hou defelewane, ilia uda amoma asigimu da defea. Dunu da ea udama asigi galea, e da ea da: i hodo amoma asigisa.
That is how husbands ought to love their wives – as if they were their own bodies. A man who loves his wife is really loving himself;
29 (Dunu da hi da: i hodo hame higasa. Be ea da: i hodo amoma ha: i manu iaha amola ouligisa. Amo defele Yesu Gelesu da sese fi ouligisa.
for no one ever yet hated his own body. But everyone feeds his body and cares for it, just as the Christ for the church;
30 Bai ninia da Yesu Gelesu Ea da: i hodo liligi gala.)
for we are members of his body.
For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and be united to his wife; and the man and his wife will become one.
In this there is a profound truth – I am speaking of Christ and his church.
33 Be amo sia: da dilima amola olelesa. Dunu huluane ilia da: i hodo amoma asigi hou defelewane, ilia udama asigimu da defea. Amola uda huluane ilia egoa ilima dawa: iwane amola asigiwane nabimu da defea.
However, for you individually, let each love his wife as if she were himself; and the wife be careful to respect her husband.
