Da:i Dione Dawa:i Olelesu 2
1 Na da hahawane hou hamomusa: ne hogoi helei. Be na ba: loba, amo hou amola da hamedeidafa ba: i.
Said, I, in my heart, Come now! I will prove thee with gladness, and look thou on blessedness, —but lo! even that, was vanity.
2 Na ba: loba, osobo bagade dunu ilia ousu hou amola hahawane hou, amo huluane da hamedei fawane.
Of laughter, I said, Madness! and, of mirth, What can it do?
3 Na da dawa: bagade lamusa: hanaiba: le, da: i dioi galu. Bu hahawane ba: ma: ne, na da waini hano manusa: dawa: i. Na da dunu ilia osobo bagadega ode bagahame fawane esalea, noga: iwane habodane esaloma: bela: le, logo hogoi helei.
I sought out with my heart, to cherish with wine, my flesh, —but, my heart, was to guide with wisdom, even in laying hold of folly, until I should see which was blessedness for the sons of men, as to that which they could do, under the heavens, during the number of the days of their life.
4 Na da hawa: bagade hamoi. Na da nisu diasu gaguli amola waini efe bagohame bugisu.
I enlarged my works, —I built me houses, I planted me vineyards;
5 Na ifabia ha: i manu liligi huluane bugi, amola fage legebe ifa enoenoi huluane bugi.
I made me gardens, and parks, —I planted in them trees of every kind of fruit;
6 Na da amo bugiga hano soga: musa: , hano ha: ima: ne dogonesisi.
I made me pools of water, —to irrigate therefrom the thick-set saplings growing up into trees:
7 Na da udigili hawa: hamosu dunu bagohame bidi lai dagoi. Amola na diasuga, eno udigili hawa: hamosu dunu da lalelegei. Amola na ohe fofoi amo idi da dunu huluane musa: Yelusalemega esalu dunu ilia ohe fofoi idi, amo bagade baligi ba: i.
I acquired, men-servants and women-servants, and, the children of the household, were mine, —also possessions, herds and flocks in abundance, were mine, beyond all who had been before me in Jerusalem;
8 Amola soge na ouligi, amoga na da silifa amola gouli lale, gilisili gagosa heda: i. Dunu amola uda da na ge noga: ma: ne nama gesami hea: i. Amola na da uda bagohame, na hanai defele lai dagoi.
I heaped me up, both silver and gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings, and provinces, —I provided me singing-men and singing-women, and the delights of the sons of men, a wife and wives.
9 Dafawane! Na da gasa bagadedafa ba: i. Amola dunu eno musa: Yelusaleme amo ganodini esalu, da na gasa defele hame ba: su. Na dawa: lai hou da hame dafai.
So I became great, and increased, more than any one who had been before me in Jerusalem, —moreover, my wisdom, remained with me;
10 Na da na hanai huluane amoga liligi lai. Na da adi hahawane hou hanai galea, na da amo hou hamosu. Na da hawa: hamobeba: le, bidi lai, amo da hahawane ba: i.
and, nothing that mine eyes asked, withheld I from them, —I did not keep back my heart from any gladness, for, my heart, obtained gladness out of all my toil, and so, this, was my portion, out of all my toil.
11 Amalalu, na da na bagade hawa: hamosu bu dawa: beba: le, amo amola da hamedei liligi dawa: i. Amo da fo se bobogesu defele ba: i. Hamedeidafa!
When, I, looked upon all my works, which my hands had made, and on my toil, whereon I had toilsomely wrought, then lo! all, was vanity, and feeding on wind, and there was no profit under the sun.
12 Hina bagade ilia da hou amo musa: hina dunu ilia hamoi amo defele fawane hamomusa: dawa: Amaiba: le, na da gagaoui hou amola bagade dawa: su hou amola afafamusa: bu dawa: i.
Thus turned, I, to look at wisdom, and madness and folly, —for what can the man [do more] who cometh after the king? [save] that which, already, men have done.
13 Dafawane! Hadigi ea hou da gasi ea hou baligisa. Amola amo defele, bagade dawa: su hou da gagaoui hou baligisa.
Then saw, I, that wisdom doth excel folly, —as far as light excelleth darkness.
14 Dawa: su dunu da ilia ahoabe logo noga: le ba: sa. Be gagaoui dunu da ilia ahoabe logo hame ba: sa. Be huluane da defele, bogosu eso ilima ilegei, amoga doaga: mu.
As for the wise man, his eyes, are in his head, whereas, the dullard, in darkness, doth walk, —but, I myself, knew that, one destiny, happeneth to them, all.
15 Na da nisu sia: i, ‘Na da gagaoui dunu defele bogosu ilegei amoga doaga: mu. Amaiba: le, na da bagade dawa: lai dagoiba: le, adi bidi labala?’ Be na da nisu bu adole i, “Na da bidi hamedafa lai. Hamedeidafa!”
Then said, I, in my heart, As it happeneth to the dullard, even to me, will it happen, but wherefore, then, became, I, wise to excess? Therefore spake I, in my heart, Even this, is vanity.
16 Dunu huluane da bagade dawa: su dunu gogolemu. Amola ilia da gagaoui dunu gogolemu. Hobea, ninia huluane da gogolei dagoi ba: mu. Ninia huluane, bagade dawa: su amola gagaoui dunu defele bogosu ba: mu.
For there is no remembrance of a wise man, more than of a dullard, unto times age-abiding, —seeing that, already, in the days to come, all hath been forgotten, how then cometh it that the wise man dieth equally with the dullard?
17 Amaiba: le, na da esalusu da hamedei liligi ba: i. Na da na esalusu da fo se bobogesu hou defele ba: i.
Therefore I hated life, for, a vexation unto me, was the work which was done under the sun, —for, all, was vanity, and a feeding on wind.
18 Na da liligi lama: ne gasa bagade hawa: hamosu. Be amo liligi na da na baligia mabe dunu ema nana imunu dawa: beba: le, na da amo liligi hamedeiwane ba: i.
Therefore hated, I, all my toil, wherein I was toiling, under the sun, —in that I should leave it for the man who should come after me;
19 Nama baligia aligila mabe dunu da bagade dawa: su dunu ba: ma: bela: ? O gagaoui dunu ba: ma: bela: ? Na da hame dawa: Be e da na liligi, na da lama: ne gasa bagade hawa: hamoi, amo huluane e da lamu. Amaiba: le, hawa: hamosu huluane da hamedei liligi agoai.
and who could know whether a, wise man, he would be or a foolish, and yet he would lord it over all my toil, wherein I had toiled and wherein I had acted wisely, under the sun, —even this, was vanity.
20 Amaiba: le, na da musa: bagadewane hawa: hamoi, amo dawa: beba: le, na dogoga bagadedafa se nabi.
Then resolved I, to give my heart over to despair, —concerning all the toil, wherein I had toiled, under the sun.
21 Di da liligi lamusa: , dia asigi dawa: su bagadega, amola dawa: lai hou amoga, gasa bagade hamosa. Be di bogosea, dunu eno e da amo lamusa: hame hawa: hamosu, e da dia nana liligi udigili alofele gagumu. Amo hou da defele hame ba: sa, amola hamedeiwane ba: sa.
For here is a man, whose toil hath been with wisdom and with knowledge and with skill, —yet, to a man who hath not toiled therein, shall he leave it as his portion, even this, was vanity and a great vexation.
22 Di da esala bagadewane hawa: hamosa, amola da: i dione ahoa, be bididafa hame ba: sa.
For what hath the man for all his toil, and for the striving of his heart, —wherein, he himself, toiled under the sun?
23 Dia esala, dia hawa: hamobe amoga da: i dioi amola dogoga se nabasu, amo fawane ba: sa. Amola gasia, di da da: i dioiba: le, sidagane esala. Hou huluane da hamedei ba: sa.
For, all his days, are pains, and, vexatious, is his employment, even in the night, his heart lieth not down, —even this, was, vanity.
24 Amaiba: le, dunu ilia eno liligi mae dawa: le, udigili ha: i manu amola waini manu amola ea hawa: hamosu hamomu da defea. Be na bu dawa: loba, amo hou huluane amola da Gode Emadini maha, na dawa: i.
There was nothing more blessed for Man [than] that he should eat and drink, and see his desireth for blessedness in his toil, —even this, saw, I myself, that, from the hand of God, it was.
25 Gode da dima amo liligi hame ia ganiaba, di da habodane ha: i manu lama: bela: o eso huluane nodone hahawane esaloma: bela: ?
For who could eat and who could enjoy, so well as I?
26 Nowa dunu da Gode Ea ba: mane hou noga: le hamosea, Gode da amo dunuma dawa: su noga: i, dawa: noga: i, amola hahawane hou iaha. Be E da wadela: i hamosu dunu hawa: hamoma: ne adosa. Gode Ea ba: ma: ne hou noga: i hamosu dunu, ilia da wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia hawa: hamosu bidi amo lama: ne, Gode da wadela: i dunuma hawa: hamoma: ne adosa. Amo hou huluane da hamedei liligi, fo se bobogebe agoai ba: sa.
For, to a man who is good before him, hath he given wisdom and knowledge and gladness, —whereas, to the sinner, he hath given employment, to gather and heap up, to give to one who is good before God, even this, was vanity, and a feeding on wind.
