1 Hina bagade Yihoiagimi da Yuda soge amoga ouligisia, amola amogawi da ode udiana esalu, Nebiuga: denese amo da Ba: bilone soge amoga hina bagade esalu. E da Yelusaleme moilai bai bagadega doagala: musa: asi. Amola ea dadi gagui dunu ilia da soge amo huluane eale disi.
In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, came Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, against Jerusalem, and besieged it.
2 Hina Gode da logo doasiba: le, Nebiuga: denese da Yihoiagimi gagulaligi. Amola hano dili nasu liligi amola faigelei Gode Ea Debolo diasu ganodini dialu mogili e da lai. And the Lord gave Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God; and he carried them into the land of Shinar, to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure-house of his god.

And the king commanded Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the sons of Israel of the king's race, and of the princes,
4 Nebiuga: denese da ayeligi noga: idafa odagi da noga: idafa amola da: i noga: idafa amai ayeligi ilegema: ne sia: i. youths in whom was no blemish, and well favored, and skilful in all wisdom, and having knowledge and intelligence and strength, to stand as servants in the king's palace, and be taught the writing and the language of the Chaldaeans.

And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king's food, and of the wine which he drank; so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand as servants before the king.
6 A: sebena: se da Yuda fi ayeligi mogili ilegei dagoi. Amo ilegei gilisisu ganodini, ayeligi biyaduyale ba: i. Ilia dio da Da: niele, Ha: nanaia, Misa: iele amola A: salaia. Huluane da Yuda fi dunu.
Now among these were, of the sons of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.
7 A: sebena: se da ilia dio bu gaheabolo asuli. Da: niele ea dio gaheabolo da Beledesia: sa. Amola Ha: nania ea dio gaheabolo da Sia: dala: ge, Misa: iele ea dio gaheabolo da Misia: ge amola A: salaia ea dio gaheabolo da Abedenigou.
And the prince of the eunuchs gave them other names. To Daniel he gave the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego.

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

And God gave Daniel favor and kindness from the prince of the eunuchs.

And the prince of the eunuchs said to Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink; for he might see your faces in worse condition than the youths of your age; then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.

Then said Daniel to the steward whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
12 “Na hanai da dia eso nabuane ganodini nini adoba: ma. Dadami ha: i manu amola hano nasu amo fawane nini moma: ne ima.
Try thy servants ten days, and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.
13 Amola fa: no goe eso nabuane amoga di sodoma. Ayeligi dunu oda da hina bagade ea ha: i manu defele naha, amo ilia da: i da ninia da: i baligisa o hame baligisa, amo noga: le ba: ma. Amola ninia da: i hodo ea hou ba: beba: le, dia fa: no ninima adi hou hamoma: bela: , amo dawa: ma.”
Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenances of the youths that eat of the portion of the king's meat; and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.

And he consented to them in this matter, and tried them ten days.
15 Amola eso nabuane amo fisili, ouligisu dunu ea ba: loba: , ilia da: i hodo da noga: idafa ba: i. Amola ilia da: i hodo ba: su da ayeligi dunu eno ilia ha: i manu hina bagade ea ilima ilegei, amo ilia da: i hodo ba: su baligi dagoi.
And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the youths who ate the portion of the king's meat.
16 Amaiba: le, sosodo aligisu e da Da: niele amola ea sama udiana ilima ha: i manu amo hina bagade ea iasu liligi ilima hame i. E da dadami fawane ilima iasu.
So the steward took away the portion of their meat, and the wine which they should drink, and gave them pulse.
17 Amola Gode da dawa: su noga: i amo ayeligi biyaduyale ilima i. Amola Gode da fidibiba: le, ilia da idisu hou, dedesu hou amola osobo bagade dawa: su hou huludafa, ilia dawa: i galu. Amola Gode da dawa: su Da: nielema simasia ba: su olelesu i dagoi.
And God gave these four youths knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

And at the end of the days, when the king had commanded him to bring them before him, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
19 Amola hina bagade da dunu oda ilima sia: sa: ili, e amane ba: i, Da: niele, Ha: nanaia, Misa: iele amola A: salaia, ilia dawa: su da eno ayeligi dunu ilia dawa: su baligi dagoi. Amaiba: le ilia da ea ouligisu fi amo ganodini hawa: hamosu lidi dagoi.
And the king conversed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore they stood as servants before the king.

And in all matters of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the scribes and magicians that were in all his realm.

And Daniel lived even to the first year of Cyrus the king.
