1 Hina bagade Yihoiagimi da Yuda soge amoga ouligisia, amola amogawi da ode udiana esalu, Nebiuga: denese amo da Ba: bilone soge amoga hina bagade esalu. E da Yelusaleme moilai bai bagadega doagala: musa: asi. Amola ea dadi gagui dunu ilia da soge amo huluane eale disi.
In the third year of the reign of Joakim king of Juda, came Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon to Jerusalem, and besieged it.
2 Hina Gode da logo doasiba: le, Nebiuga: denese da Yihoiagimi gagulaligi. Amola hano dili nasu liligi amola faigelei Gode Ea Debolo diasu ganodini dialu mogili e da lai. E da Yu dunu amola uda mogili, amo udigili hawa: hamomusa: Ba: bilone sogega oule asi. Amola Debolo liligi lai huluane e da ea ogogosu ‘gode’ ilia debolo diasu Ba: bilone sogega amo ganodini sali.
And the Lord gave into his hand Joakim king of Juda, and part of the vessels of the house of God: and he brought them into the land of Sennaar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure-house of his god.
3 Amola hina bagade Nebiuga: denese da sia: beba: le, ea bisili ouligisu dunu amo ea dio da A: sebena: se, e da mugululi asi Isala: ili dunu amo ganodini hogolalu, ayeligi amo musa: da Isala: ili hina bagade amola eno dunu bagade ilia sosogo fi ganodini esalu, amo ilegei.
And the king told Asphanez his chief eunuch, to bring in [some] of the captive children of Israel, and of the seed of the kingdom, and of the princes;
4 Nebiuga: denese da ayeligi noga: idafa odagi da noga: idafa amola da: i noga: idafa amai ayeligi ilegema: ne sia: i. Ilia da: i amoga da eno wadela: i hamedafa, ayeligi bagade dawa: galea amai ayeligi sugulu noga: le heda: i ayeligi fawane lasu. Amai ayeligi ilia da hedolo dawa: su lamu amola hina bagade ea diasu ganodini noga: le hawa: hamomu, ilia dawa: i. Amola A: sebena: se hi fawane, da amo ayeligi ilima dedesu amola idisu olelema: ne sia: i. Amo da Ba: bilone ilia sia: ga olelesu.
young men in whom was no blemish, and beautiful in appearance, and skilled in all wisdom, and possessing knowledge, and acquainted with prudence, and who had ability to stand in the house before the king, and [the king gave commandment] to teach them the learning and language of the Chaldeans.
5 Amola hina bagade da amane sia: i, goe esoga ayeligi ilia ha: i nasu amola hano nasu da hina bagade amola ea ouligisu dunu ilia lasu defele lamu da defea. Amola ilia da goe sugulu da ode udiana heda: lalu, amalu ilia da hina bagade ea hawa: hamomusa: ema adoba: mu.
And the king appointed them a daily portion from the king’s table, and from the wine which he drank; and [gave orders] to nourish them three years, and [that] afterwards they should stand before the king.
6 A: sebena: se da Yuda fi ayeligi mogili ilegei dagoi. Amo ilegei gilisisu ganodini, ayeligi biyaduyale ba: i. Ilia dio da Da: niele, Ha: nanaia, Misa: iele amola A: salaia. Huluane da Yuda fi dunu.
Now these were among them of the children of Juda, Daniel, and Ananias, and Azarias, and Misael.
7 A: sebena: se da ilia dio bu gaheabolo asuli. Da: niele ea dio gaheabolo da Beledesia: sa. Amola Ha: nania ea dio gaheabolo da Sia: dala: ge, Misa: iele ea dio gaheabolo da Misia: ge amola A: salaia ea dio gaheabolo da Abedenigou.
And the chief of the eunuchs gave them names: to Daniel, Baltasar; and to Ananias, Sedrach; and to Misael, Misach; and to Azarias, Abdenago.
8 Hina bagade amo ianoba, Ba: bilone ouligisu dunu da ha: i manu amola waini hano gaguli misi. Be amo ha: i manu da Yu sema ganodini ledo gala amo e dawa: beba: le, Da: niele da hihini hame manusa: dawa: i galu. Da: niele ea amane dawa: su. Amo ha: i manu amola waini na nanu, Gode Ea sida: iya giadofale hamomu e amane sia: i. Amaiba: le e da bisili ouligisu A: sebena: se ema adole ba: i, “Defea ha: i manu eno imunu defeala: ?” amane adole ba: i.
And Daniel purposed in his heart, that he would not defile himself with the king’s table, nor with the wine of his drink: and he intreated the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
9 Amola Gode da A: sebena: se ea dogoga sia: beba: le, e da Da: nielema asigi galu.
Now God [had] brought Daniel into favour and compassion with the chief of the eunuchs.
10 Be A: sebena: se da hina bagadema beda: iba: le, e da Da: nielema amane sia: i, “Hina bagade da dia ha: i manu amola waini nasu ilegei dagoi. Amaiba: le, dilia da amo hame nabeba: le, dilia da: i da geloga: i amola eno ayeligi ilia da: i da noga: i ba: sea, hina bagade da na medole legemu.”
And the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your meat and your drink, lest he see your countenances gloomy in comparison of the young men your equals; so shall ye endanger my head to the king.
11 Amaiba: le, Da: niele da sosodo aligisu dunu amo A: sebena: se da Da: niele, Ha: nanaia, Misa: iele amola A: salaia ouligimusa: ilegei, ilima asili amane sia: i,
And Daniel said to Amelsad, whom the chief of the eunuchs had appointed over Daniel, Ananias, Misael, [and] Azarias,
12 “Na hanai da dia eso nabuane ganodini nini adoba: ma. Dadami ha: i manu amola hano nasu amo fawane nini moma: ne ima.
Prove now thy servants ten days; and let them give us pulse, and let us eat, and let us drink water:
13 Amola fa: no goe eso nabuane amoga di sodoma. Ayeligi dunu oda da hina bagade ea ha: i manu defele naha, amo ilia da: i da ninia da: i baligisa o hame baligisa, amo noga: le ba: ma. Amola ninia da: i hodo ea hou ba: beba: le, dia fa: no ninima adi hou hamoma: bela: , amo dawa: ma.”
and let our countenances be seen by thee, and the countenances of the children that eat [at] the king’s table; and deal with thy servants according as thou shalt see.
14 Sosodo aligisu e da Da: niele ea sia: defele eso nabuane amoga amo hou hamomusa: sia: i.
And he hearkened to them, and proved them ten days.
15 Amola eso nabuane amo fisili, ouligisu dunu ea ba: loba: , ilia da: i hodo da noga: idafa ba: i. Amola ilia da: i hodo ba: su da ayeligi dunu eno ilia ha: i manu hina bagade ea ilima ilegei, amo ilia da: i hodo ba: su baligi dagoi.
And at the end of the ten days their countenances appeared fairer and stouter in flesh than the children that fed at the king’s table.
16 Amaiba: le, sosodo aligisu e da Da: niele amola ea sama udiana ilima ha: i manu amo hina bagade ea iasu liligi ilima hame i. E da dadami fawane ilima iasu.
So Amelsad took away their supper and the wine of their drink, and gave them pulse.
17 Amola Gode da dawa: su noga: i amo ayeligi biyaduyale ilima i. Amola Gode da fidibiba: le, ilia da idisu hou, dedesu hou amola osobo bagade dawa: su hou huludafa, ilia dawa: i galu. Amola Gode da dawa: su Da: nielema simasia ba: su olelesu i dagoi.
And [as for] these four children, God gave them understanding and prudence in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
18 Amola ayeligi dunu ode udiana hina bagade Nebiuga: denese ea sugulu heda: lalu. Amo ode da gidigisia, A:sebena: se da ili hina bagade ema oule asi.
And at the end of the days, [after] which the king had given orders to bring them in, then the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nabuchodonosor.
19 Amola hina bagade da dunu oda ilima sia: sa: ili, e amane ba: i, Da: niele, Ha: nanaia, Misa: iele amola A: salaia, ilia dawa: su da eno ayeligi dunu ilia dawa: su baligi dagoi. Amaiba: le ilia da ea ouligisu fi amo ganodini hawa: hamosu lidi dagoi.
And the king spoke with them; and there were not found out of them all any like Daniel, and Ananias, and Misael, and Azarias: and they stood before the king.
20 Hina bagade da ilima liligi bagade adole ba: i. Amola ilia dawa: su da bagadeba: le, ilia da ea adole ba: i huluane amoma adole imunusa: dawa: i. Ilia dawa: su da nabi dunu amola ba: la: lusu dunu huluane Ba: bilone soge ganodini esalu amo ilia dawa: su bagadewane baligi dagoi ba: i.
And in every matter of wisdom and knowledge wherein the king questioned them, he found them ten times wiser than all the enchanters and sorcerers that were in all his kingdom.
21 Amaiba: le Da: niele da eso bagohamedafa hina bagade ea ouligisu fi amo ganodini hawa: hamosu. Besia hina bagade amo ea dio Sailase, da Ba: bilone amoma hasalasiba: le fawane fisi.
And Daniel continued till the first year of king Cyrus.
