1 Eso afaega, Hina Gode da bu Isala: ili fi ilima ougi galu. E da Da: ibidi ilima bidi hamosu doaga: ma: ne hamoi. Hina Gode da ema amane sia: i, “Masa! Isala: ili amola Yuda fi dunu idima.”
And again the anger of Yhwh was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.

For the king said to Joab the captain of the army, which was with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the number of the people.
3 Be Youa: be da amane adole i, “Hina noga: idafa! Dia Hina Gode da Isala: ili dunu ilia idi amo bagalesili, bu afae da 100 ba: ma: ne hamomu da defea. Amola amo dafawane ba: ma: ne, di da esalumu da defea. Be di, hina noga: idafa, abuliba: le amo hamomusa: hanabela: ?”
And Joab said unto the king, Now Yhwh thy God add unto the people, how many soever they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?

Notwithstanding the king’s word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the army. And Joab and the captains of the army went out from the presence of the king, to number the people of Israel.

And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that lieth in the midst of the river of Gad, and toward Jazer:

Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of Tahtim–hodshi; and they came to Dan–jaan, and about to Sidon,

And came to the strong hold of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of Judah, even to Beer–sheba.

So when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.

And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.

And David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto Yhwh, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O Yhwh, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.
For when David was up in the morning, the word of Yhwh came unto the prophet Gad, David’s seer, saying,

Go and say unto David, Thus saith Yhwh, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.
13 Ga: de da ema asili, Hina Gode Ea sia: i ema alofele i. E da Da: ibidima amane adole ba: i, “Di da adi ilegesala: ? Dia soge amo ganodini ode udiana ha: mu ilegema: bela: ? O oubi udiana amoga dia ha lai da di hasalabeba: le, di sefasimu, amo ilegema: bela: ? O eso udiana olo bagade di dia sogega ba: mu, amo ilegema: bela: ? Di dawa: lalu, nama adole ima. Amasea, na da Hina Godema alofele adole imunu.”
So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days’ pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of Yhwh; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
15 Amaiba: le, Hina Gode da olo bagade Isala: ili dunuma iasi. Olo da amogala hahabe muni, Gode ea ilegei eso idi ganodini ba: i. Olo da Isala: ili soge bega: asili, la: idi bega: doaga: le, amola Isala: ili dunu 70,000 da bogogia: i ba: i.
So Yhwh sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beer–sheba seventy thousand men.
16 Hina Gode Ea a: igele dunu da Yelusaleme wadela: lesimu amo galuwane, Hina Gode da da: i dione, a:igele dunuma sia: i, “Aligima! Bu mae wadela: lesima.” Amogalu, a:igele dunu da Yebiusaide dunu ea dio amo Alona ea widi dabasu sogebi amoga lelebe ba: i.
And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, Yhwh repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of Yhwh was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.

And David spake unto Yhwh when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father’s house.
18 Amo eso amagalawane, Ga: de da Da: ibidima asili, amane sia: i, “Dia Alona ea widi dabasu amoga asili, Hina Godema gobele salimusa: , oloda gaguma.”
And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto Yhwh in the threshingfloor of Araunah the Jebusite.

And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as Yhwh commanded.

And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.

And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto Yhwh, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
22 Alona da amane sia: i, “Defea, hina noga: idafa! Lama! Amola dia hanaiga Hina Godema gobele salima. Amola na bulamagau di oloda da: iya gobele salimusa: lama. Ilia `youge’ amola dabasu ifa amo lalu didima: ne lama.”
And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.
23 Alona da amo liligi huluane amo hina bagadema udigili i. E da ema amane sia: i, “Dia Hina Gode da dia iasu hahawane lamu da defea.”
All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, Yhwh thy God accept thee.
24 Be hina bagade da bu adole i, “Hame mabu! Na da amo liligi ea bidi defele dima imunu. Liligi amo na da bidi mae iawene udigili lai, amo na da na Hina Godema hame gobele salimu.” Amola, e da widi dabasu sogebi amola bulamagau, amo silifa fage 50amoga bidi lai.
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto Yhwh my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
25 Amalalu, e da Hina Godema oloda gaguli, amola amo da: iya Wadela: i Hou Dabe Ima: ne Iasu amola Hahawane Olofosu Gobele Salasu hamosu. Hina Gode da Da: ibidi ea sia: ne gadosu nababeba: le, dabe adole i. Amola olo bagade Isala: ili sogega dialu da hedofai dagoi ba: i. Sia: ama dagoi
And David built there an altar unto Yhwh, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So Yhwh was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.
