1 Na dogolegei na: iyado dunu! Amo meloa da meloa ageyadu gala na dilima dedei. Amo meloa aduna amo ganodini, na da hou olelebeba: le, dilia dogo ganodini hou ida: iwane dawa: ma: ne na da dawa: lala.

This letter which I am now writing to you, dear friends, is my second letter. In both my letters I seek to revive in your honest minds the memory of certain things,

2 Balofede dunu da musa: hemonega hadigi hou sia: olelei. Amola dilima asunasi dunu da ilia lafidili amo Hinadafa Gaga: su Yesu Gelesu Ea sia: dilima olelei. Amo sia: huluane dilia bu dawa: mu na da hanai gala.

so that you may recall the words spoken long ago by the holy Prophets, and the commandments of our Lord and Saviour given you through your Apostles.

3 Noga: le dawa: ma! Soge wadela: mu eso da gadeneiba: le, dunu ilia da hi hanaiga hou musu hamonanebe, amo ninia da ba: mu.

But, above all, remember that, in the last days, men will come who make a mock at everything--men governed only by their own passions,

4 Ilia da dilima oufesega: le, habosesele, amane adole ba: mu, “Yesu Gelesu da bu misunu ilegele sia: bela: ? Amaiba: le E da wali habila: ? Ninia ada huluane da bogoi dagoi, be osobo bagade hahamoi eso amogainini, liligi huluane da mae afadenene amaiwane diala!”

and, asking, "What has become of His promised Return? For from the time our forefathers fell asleep all things continue as they have been ever since the creation of the world."

5 Gode da musa: hemonega ea sia: ga mu amola osobo bagade hahamoi, amo wadela: i hamosu dunu da dawa: mu higa: iba: le gogolesa. Gode da sia: beba: le, osobo da hano fisili bi hamone, fedege agoane hano amoga hamoi dagoi ba: i.

For they are wilfully blind to the fact that there were heavens which existed of old, and an earth, the latter arising out of water and extending continuously through water, by the command of God;

6 Fa: no, hano bagade heda: le, hea osobo bagade liligi huluane gugunufinisi dagoi.

and that, by means of these, the then existing race of men was overwhelmed with water and perished.

7 Amo defele, Gode da sia: beba: le, waha dialebe mu amola osobo bagade, da hobea laluga gugunufinisima: ne diala. Amola Gode da Ea hou hame lalegagui dunu ilima fofada: nanu gugunufinisimu. Amaiba: le, Gode da waha diala mu amola osobo bagade, amo Fofada: su eso amoga muguluma: ne ouligisa.

But the present heavens and the present earth are, by the command of the same God, kept stored up, reserved for fire in preparation for a day of judgement and of destruction for the ungodly.

8 Be na dogolegei na: iyado dunu! Liligi afadafa mae gogolema. Hinadafa da eso afadafa amola ode 1000, hisu hisu hame ba: sa. Ea siga ba: ma: ne, ela da defele ba: sa.

But there is one thing, dear friends, which you must not forget. With the Lord one day resembles a thousand years and a thousand years resemble one day.

9 Dunu mogili, ilia Hina Gode da Ea hamomu ilegele sia: i liligi hedolo hame hamosa, ilia dawa: sa. Be E da hedolo hamomusa: dawa: Be E da dilima asigiba: le, E da dunu afadafa wadela: mu higai gala. E da dunu huluanedafa ilia wadela: i hou yolesima: ne hanaiba: le, dabe hedolo hame iaha.

The Lord is not slow in fulfilling His promise, in the sense in which some men speak of slowness. But He bears patiently with you, His desire being that no one should perish but that all should come to repentance.

10 Be Hina Gode Ea bu misunu ilegei Eso da wamolasu dunu ea wamo mabe agoane ba: mu. Amo eso amoga wele sia: be bagade nabalu, mu da mugululi hamedafa ba: mu.

The day of the Lord will come like a thief--it will be a day on which the heavens will pass away with a rushing noise, the elements be destroyed in the fierce heat, and the earth and all the works of man be utterly burnt up.

11 Amaiba: le, amo liligi huluane da mugululi hamedafa ba: muba: le, dilia da hou hadigiwane, eno dunuma afafane, Godema madelagili, Yesu Gelesu Ea bu misunu eso doaga: ma: ne, hahawane ouesalumu da defea.

Since all these things are thus pre-destined to dissolution, what sort of men ought you to be found to be in all holy living and godly conduct,

12 Yesu Ea bu misunu eso hedolo doaga: mu amo fidima: ne, dilia hou ida: iwane hamomu da defea. Amo Esoga, mu da laluga neiba: le gugunufinisi dagoi ba: mu. Gasumuni, eso amola oubi, da gia: beba: le, daiyamu.

eagerly looking forward to the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens, all ablaze, will be destroyed, and the elements will melt in the fierce heat?

13 Be Gode da mu gaheabolo amola osobo bagade gaheabolo, amo ganodini hou ida: iwane fawane ba: mu, Gode da amo imunu sia: beba: le, ninia da hahawane ouesala.

But in accordance with His promise we are expecting new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness will dwell.

14 Amaiba: le, na na: iyado dunu, dilia da amo Eso doaga: ma: ne ouesalebeba: le, Gode Ea siga ba: ma: ne, dilia ledo hamedei ida: idafa Godema olofoiwane esaloma: ne, amo logo hogoi helema.

Therefore, dear friends, since you have these expectations, earnestly seek to be found in His presence, free from blemish or reproach, in peace.

15 Gode da dilima asigiba: le gaga: musa: logo hedolo hame hedofasa, amo dilia dawa: mu da defea. Ninia dogolegei fi dunu, Bolo, Gode da ea asigi dawa: suga olelebeba: le, amo defele dilima meloa dedene i.

And always regard the patient forbearance of our Lord as salvation, as our dear brother Paul also has written to you in virtue of the wisdom granted to him.

16 E da eso huluane meloa dedene iasea, amaiwane olelesa. Bolo ea meloa dedei amo ganodini dedei liligi mogili da hedolo hame dawa: mu liligi. Eno gagaoui noga: le hame lalegagui dunu, ilia amo sia: amola sia: eno Gode Ea Sia: ganodini dedei, amo lalegaguli ogogole olelesa. Amaiba: le, ilisu hamobeba: le, gugunufinisisu se dabe iasu ba: mu.

That is what he says in all his letters, when speaking in them of these things. In those letters there are some statements hard to understand, which ill-taught and unprincipled people pervert, just as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own ruin.

17 Be na na: iyado dunu! Dilia amo hou dawa: dagoi. Amaiba: le, dilia wadela: le hamosu hame nabasu dunu ilia giadofasu sia: nabasea, dilia gaga: su yolesili dafasa: besa: le, mae golale ouesaloma.

You, therefore, dear friends, having been warned beforehand, must continually be on your guard so as not to be led astray by the false teaching of immoral men nor fall from your own stedfastness.

18 Be ninia Hina Gode amola Gaga: su Yesu Gelesu amo Ea hahawane dogolegele iasu amola bagade dawa: su, da dilia dogo ganodini asigilaluma: mu. Ema eso huluane wali amola hobea, mae yolesili nodonanumu da defea. Ama. Sia: Ama Dagoi (aiōn g165)

But be always growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be all glory, both now and to the day of Eternity! (aiōn g165)
