1 Na, Saimone Bida, na da Yesu Gelesu amo ea hawa: hamosu dunu amola asunasi dunu hamoi. Ninia Gode amola Gaga: su Yesu Gelesu Ea moloidafa hou hamobeba: le, Gode da ida: iwanedafa dafawaneyale dawa: su hou ninia lai defele, dilima i dagoi. Na da dilima meloa dedene iaha.
Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained a like precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ:
2 Dilia da ninia Gode amola Hina Gode Yesu Gelesu, amo dawa: beba: le, dilia da hahawane dogolegele iasu amola olofosu, baligiliwane ba: ma: ne, na dawa: lala.
Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord;
3 Gode Ea gasa amoga E da ninia Godema dawa: le ida: iwane esaloma: ne, ninima gasa defele ia dagoi. Gode da nini gilisili ea hadigi amola hou ida: iwane, amo lama: ne ninima misa: ne sia: i.
seeing that his divine power hath granted unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us by his own glory and virtue;
4 Agoane hamobeba: le, Gode da Ea musa: imunu sia: i iasu bagade amola ida: iwane, ninima i dagoi. Ninia da amo iasu lai dagoiba: le, ninia da wadela: i hi hanai hou osobo bagade ganodini diala, amo yolesili, Gode Ea hou amo defele hamomu.
whereby he hath granted unto us his precious and exceeding great promises; that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.
5 Amaiba: le, amo dawa: le, dilia dafawaneyale dawa: su hou amoma hou ida: iwane gilisima: ne, hogoi helema. Dilia hou ida: iwane amoma dawa: su hou gilisima.
Yea, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply virtue; and in [your] virtue knowledge;
6 Dilia dawa: su hou amoma dia da: i hodo ouligisuwane esalusu hou gilisima. Amo hou amoma dilia Godema dawa: su hou gilisima.
and in [your] knowledge temperance; and in [your] temperance patience; and in [your] patience godliness;
7 Dilia Godema dawa: su hou amoma dilia fi dunu amoma asigi hou gilisima. Dilia fi dunuma asigi hou amoma asigidafa hou gilisima.
and in [your] godliness love of the brethren; and in [your] love of the brethren love.
8 Amo hou huluane dilia lamu da defea. Amo hou baligiliwane lalegagusia, dilia da ninia Hina Gode Yesu Gelesu amo baligiliwane dawa: beba: le, gasawane hawa: hamomu.
For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to be not idle nor unfruitful unto the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 Be nowa da amo hou hame lalegagusia, e da si desemehadi dofoi agoane ba: sa. E da ea musa: wadela: i hou da dodofei dagoi, amo gogolei.
For he that lacketh these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.
10 Amaiba: le, na fi dunu! Gode da dilima Ema misa: ne ilegeiba: le, amo dilia mae fisimusa: gasawane lalegaguma: ne, logo hogoi helema. Amasea, dilia da dafasu hamedafa ba: mu.
Wherefore, brethren, give the more diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never stumble:
11 Agoane hamosea, dilia ninia Hina Gode amola Gaga: su Yesu Gelesu amo ea eso huluane dialalalumu Hinadafa Hou amo ganodini golili sa: ima: ne, Gode da dilima logo hahawane doasimu. (aiōnios g166)
for thus shall be richly supplied unto you the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)
12 Dilia da amo dafawane sia: musa: dilima olelei liligi, amo noga: le lalegagui dagoi. Be na da amo hou dilima bu olelemu.
Wherefore I shall be ready always to put you in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the truth which is with [you].
13 Na da esalebeba: le, dili da gogolesa: besa: le, na da dili bu dawa: ma: ne amo hou dilima olelelalumu da defea.
And I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
14 Na da: i hodo da bogomu liligi. Amo na da abula agoane Hina Gode Yesu Gelesu amo Ea moloiwane nama sia: i defele, na da: i hodo fadegamu da gadenesa na dawa:
knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle cometh swiftly, even as our Lord Jesus Christ signified unto me.
15 Amaiba: le, na bogole, dilia fa: no amo hou bu dawa: musa: , na da logo hogoi helemu.
Yea, I will give diligence that at every time ye may be able after my decease to call these things to remembrance.
16 Ninia da Hina Gode Yesu Gelesu Ea gasawane bu misunu hou dilima olelema: ne, ogogosu sia: amoga hame olelei. Ninia da Ea gasa bagade hou ninia siga ba: i dagoi.
For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 Ada Gode da Yesu Gelesu da hadigi bagade amola Hina bagade olelei. Sia: da Baligi Hadigi amoga misini, amane sia: i, “Amo da Na dogolegei Manodafa. Na da Ema hahawane gala.” Amo hou ninia ba: i dagoi.
For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased:
18 Ninisu da Yesu Gelesuma goumi da: iya sigi esalebeba: le, amo sia: muagado manebe nabi dagoi.
and this voice we [ourselves] heard come out of heaven, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19 Amaiba: le, ninia balofede dunu ili sia: i olelei, amo baligiliwane dafawaneyale dawa: be. Amo sia: da gamali gasi sogebi ganodini nenanebe agoane ba: sa. Amo gamali da nenanu, Esodafa da hadigisia, gusubia gasumuni da dilia dogo ganodini hadigimu. Amaiba: le, amo sia: dilia ha: giwane dawa: mu da defea.
And we have the word of prophecy [made] more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:
20 Be hou afadafa baligiliwane dawa: ma! Amo da osobo bagade dunu da hi gasaga amo Gode Ea Sia: ba: la: lusu sia: bai hame dawa: mu.
knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation.
21 Bai Gode Ea olelei ba: la: lusu sia: da osobo bagade dunu hanaiba: le hame misi. Be Gode Ea A: silibu Hadigidafa Gala da dunuma ouligisuwane esalebeba: le, amo dunu da Gode Ea olelei fawane ba: la: lusu sia: i. Amaiba: le, osobo bagade dunu hisu amo sia: dawa: mu da hamedei.
For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but men spake from God, being moved by the Holy Ghost.
