1 Sa:miuele 9
1 A: ibiele ea mano Gisa da Bediamini egaga fi amoga galu. Gisa da mimogoa dunu galu. A: ibiele da Silo ea mano galu. Gisa ea sosogo fi da Bigoula: de amola fidafa da Afaia.
Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name, was Kish—son of Abiel, son of Zeror, son of Becorath, son of Aphiah, son of a Benjamite, —a mighty man of valour;
2 Gisa da dunu mano galu, ea dio da Solo. Solo da goi ayeligi galu. Amoga Isala: ili dunu, e amai defele da afae hame galu. Solo da dunu heda: le aligi amola ea da: da: loiwane ba: su da Isala: ili dunu eno huluane baligi.
and, he, had a son, whose name, was Saul, a choice young man and of noble appearance, and there was not a man of the sons of Israel, more noble than he, —from his shoulders and upwards, was he taller than any of the people.
3 Solo ea eda Gisa ea dougi da fisi ba: i. Amaiba: le, Gisa da Soloma amane sia: i, “Hawa: hamosu dunu afae lale, dougi fisi hogola masa.”
Now there had gone astray asses belonging to Kish, Saul’s father, —so Kish said unto Saul his son—I pray thee, take with thee one of the young men, and arise—go, seek the asses.
4 Ilia da agolo soge, Ifala: ime sogedili amola Sialaisia soge la: idili amo hohogola asi be dougi da hame ba: i. Amaiba: le, ilia da baligili Sia: ilime sogebi la: ididili hohogola asi, be dougi da amoga hame ba: i. Amalu ilia da Bediamini ea fifilasu sogebidili hohogola asi be hame ba: i.
And he passed through the hill country of Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalishah, but they found them not, —then passed they through the land of Shaalim, and they were not there, then passed he through the land of the Benjamites, but they found them not.
5 Ilia da hohogola misini, Safe ea fifilasua amoi doaga: loba, Solo da ea hawa: hamosu dunuma amane sia: i, “Ninia da nini fifilasua sinidigimu. Ada da dougi yoleiba: le dadawa: lu yolele, bu niniha dadawa: lala ganumu.”
They, had come into the land of Zuph when, Saul, said to his young man who was with him, Come! and let us return; lest my father leave off [caring] for the asses, and be concerned for us.
6 Hawa: hamosu dunu da bu adole i, “Asa! Wele sia: gai moilai fi dunu afae da dunu ilia ema bagade nodosa amola ea sia: naba, bai ea sia: be liligi huluane defele didisa. Ninia da amo dunuma ahoa: di. Amasea e da dougi ea esalebe soge ninima olelemu.”
And he said to him: Lo! I pray thee, a man of God, [liveth] in this city, and, the man, is held in honour, all that he saith, surely cometh to pass. Now, let us go thither; peradventure he may tell us our way, whereon we should have gone.
7 Solo da amane adole ba: i, “Ninia da ema ahoasea, ninia da adi liligi igili ima: bela: ? Ninia da ha: i manu ninia esaga dialebe afae hamegala, amola ninia da igili imunu liligi afae hamewane.”
Then said Saul to his young man: Behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man, for, the bread, hath failed from our sacks, and, present, there is none to bring to the man of God, —what is there with us?
8 Hawa: hamosu dunu da bu adole i, “Na da muni gasa fonobahadi afae gala. Na da amoane imunu, amalu e da dougi ea esalebe soge amo ninima olelemu.”
And the young man again answered Saul, and said—Lo! there is found in my hand, the fourth part of a shekel of silver, —which thou canst give to the man of God, and he will tell us our way.
9 Solo da amane adole i, “Dia dawa: i go defeawane! Ninia ahoa: di.” Amalu ilia da hadigi dawa: su dunu ea esalebe soge amoga asi. Ilia da moilai fi amoga doaga: musa: agoloba: le heda: la, uda a: fini ilia hano dila mafiadalebe gousa: i. Ilia da uda a: fini ema adole ba: i. “Ba: la: lusu dunu da moilaiga esalabala?” (amo eso galu ilia da balofede dunuma ‘ba: la: lusu’ sia: su, amola nowa dunu da Godema adole ba: musa: dawa: sea, ilia da amane sia: su, “Ninia da ba: la: lusuma ahoa: di.”)
Beforetime, in Israel, thus, said a man when he went to enquire of God, Come and let us go as far as the seer, —for, the prophet of to-day, used to be called, beforetime, the seer.
And Saul said unto his young man, Good, is thy word, come! let us go! So they went unto the city, where the man of God was.
They were going up the ascent of the city, when they found young women, coming out to draw water, —so they said unto these, Is, the seer, in this place?
And the young women answered them and said: He is, lo! before you now, even as, to-day, hath he entered the city, for the people have a sacrifice, to-day, in the high place.
13 Uda a: fini ilima adole i, “Ma! E da esala! Dafawane! E da dili ahoaba gogusu. Dilia da hedolo ahoasea, dilia da e ba: mu. Dilia da moilai ganodini dasea, dilia e ba: mu. E da wali moilaiga doaga: i, bai dunu ilia da oloda da: iya agolo damana gobele salimu. Amoga hiougi dunu da ha: i mae nane, e doaga: ma: ne ouesala. Bai ea hidadea gobele sala sia: ne gadomu. Dilia waha ahoasea, e da agoloa gado hame heda: i galeawane, dilia da e ba: mu.”
As ye enter the city, so, shall ye surely find him, ere yet he shall go up to the high place to eat, for the people will not eat until he hath come, for, he, doth bless the sacrifice, after that, will they eat who have been bidden. Now, therefore, go up, for, about this very time, shall ye surely find him.
14 Amaiba: le, Solo amola ea hawa: hamosu dunu ilia moilai ganodini sa: i. Ilia ganodini golili daha ba: loba, Sa: miuele da oloda da: iya gobele salimusa: ahoanebe ba: i.
So they went up into the city. As they were entering into the midst of the city, lo! Samuel, coming out over against them, to ascend the high place.
15 Be aya Hina Gode da Sa: miuelema amane sia: i galu,
Now, Yahweh, had unveiled the ear of Samuel, —one day before Saul came, saying:
16 “Aya wewaba Na da Bediamini ea sosogo fi amoga dunu afae dima asunasimu. E da Na dunu fi Isala: ili ouligima: ne ema ilegele amalu ea dialuma da: iya susuligi soga: sima. Amalu, e da Filisidini ilia Isala: ili dunuma osa: la hedasa: besa: le gaga: mu. Na da Isala: ili dunu ilia se nababe ba: i, amola Na da ilia se naba didigia: be amola Nama fidima: ne wele sia: su nabi.”
About this time to-morrow, will I send unto thee, a man out of the land of Benjamin, whom thou shalt anoint, to be leader over my people Israel, and he shall save my people, out of the hand of the Philistines, —for I have looked upon the oppression, because their outcry hath come in unto me.
17 Sa: miuele da Solo ba: loba, Hina Gode da ema agoane sia: i, “Dunu Na dima adolalu amo da goea! E da Na Isala: ili dunu ouligimu.”
And, when, Samuel, beheld Saul, Yahweh, answered him, Lo! the man, of whom I said unto thee, Here, is one shall control my people.
18 Sa: miuele da logo golili dasu gadenene leloba, Solo da e ba: le, ema heda: i, amalu adole ba: i, “Dia sia: ma! Ba: la: lusu dunu da habi esalabala?”
And Saul drew near unto Samuel, in the midst of the gate, —and said—I pray thee, do tell me, where is the house of the seer?
19 Sa: miuele da bu adole i, “Ba: la: lusu dunu da na wea. Nodone sia: ne gadosu sogebiga gado ali hidadea bisili ahoanoma. Ali galu nini gilisili ha: i manu. Aya hahabe na da dia adole ba: i amo huluane na dima adodole ianu, na da ali da logoga masa: ne sia: mu.
And Samuel answered Saul, and said—I, am, the seer! Go up before me, to the high place, so shall ye eat with me, to-day, —and I will let thee go in the morning, and, all that is in thy heart, will I tell thee.
20 Be dougi eso udianaga yolei galu, amo da mae dawa: ma, amo da ba: i dagoi. Be Isala: ili dunu ilia hanai bagadedafa amo da adila: ? Amo da di. Di amola dia ada ea sosogo fi.”
And, as for the asses that went astray from thee three days ago, do not regard them, for they are found, —but to whom belongeth all that is desirable in Israel? is it not to thee, and to all the house of thy father?
21 Solo da adole i, “Na da Bediamini fi amogaga fi dunu. Amo fi da Isala: ili fi ganodini sosogo fi fonobahadidafa. Amola na fi ganodini, na sosogo fawane da mimogo hame. Abuliba: le di da nama agoane sia: bela: ?”
Then answered Saul, and said—Am not I, a man of Benjamin, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel, and [is not], my family, the poorest of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Wherefore, then, hast thou spoken unto me of such a thing as this?
22 Amalalu, Sa: miuele da Solo amola ea hawa: hamosu dunu oule, sesei bagade ganodini oule heda: i. Amalu fisu noga: idafa amo da: iya fima: ne adoi. Amola, sesei ganodini hiougi dunu misi da 30 agoane ba: i.
And Samuel took Saul and his young man, and brought them into the guest-chamber, —and gave them a place at the head of them who were bidden, they being about thirty persons.
23 Sa: miuele da ha: i manu gobesu dunuma amane sia: i, “Gebo hu a: i na dima hamega ligisiagama: ne iasi, amo gaguli misa.”
And Samuel said to the cook, Set on the portion that I gave thee, —of which I said unto thee, Put it by thee.
24 Amaiba: le ha: i manu gobesu dunu da masele dagai lale, gaguli misini, Solo baia soiyasi. Sa: miuele da amane sia: i “Ba: ma! Hu a: i na digili ligisi dialu amo da goea. Moma! Amo da na digili, dunu na hiougi amo masea amola moma: ne ligisi galu.” Amaiba: le, Solo da Sa: miuelela gilisili amo esoga ha: i mai.
And the cook took up the shoulder, and that which was upon it, and placed it before Saul, and said—Lo! the part reserved! Set it before thee [and] eat, for, unto the time appointed, hath it been kept for thee, since the time that I said, The people, have I bidden. So Saul did eat with Samuel, on that day.
25 Ilia da gilisili sia: ne gadosu sogebia amoinini moilaiga gudu sa: ili, ilia da Solo golama: ne diasu figi da: iya wibi fofa: lesi,
And, when they had come down from the high place into the city, he spread a couch for Saul upon the house-top, and he lay down.
26 amalu Solo da amo gado golai. Hahabedafa, Sa: miuele da Solo diasu gadodili golai dialu, ema wele sia: i “Wa: legadoma! Amola na da di masa: ne asunasimu.” Solo da wa: legadole, e amola Sa: miuele ele galu logoga asi.
And it came to pass, at the uprisings of the dawn, that Samuel called unto Saul on the house-top, saying, Arise! that I may send thee away. So Saul arose, and they two, he and Samuel, went forth abroad.
27 Ilia da asili moilai bega: doaga: beba: le, Sa: miuele da Soloma amane sia: i, “Dia hawa: hamosu dunu da fisili hidadea ahoanoma: ne adoma!” Amalalu hawa: hamosu dunu da hidadea ahoanoba, Sa: miuele da bu sia: i, “Waha wi fonobahadi aligima, na da Gode Ea sia: i amo dima adodole imunu.”
As they were going down the end of the city, Samuel, said unto Saul—Bid the young man, that he pass on before us, (and he passed on) but, thou, stand still where thou art, that I may let thee hear the word of God.
