1 Amo esoha Filisidini fi dunu ilia da Isala: ili fi dunuma gegena masusa: wa: le asi. Amaiba: le, Isala: ili fi dunu da dabe gegemusa: gilisilalu. Isala: ili dunu ilia Ebenisa soge gadenene ilia ha wa: i fisisu gagui. Amola Filisidini dunu ilia da A: ifege moilai bai bagadega ha wa: i fisisu gagui.
And Samuel spake vnto all Israel: and Israel went out against the Philistims to battel and pitched beside Eben-ezer: and the Philistims pitched in Aphek.
2 Filisidini dunu ilia da Isala: ili dunuma doagala: le, bagadewane susa: ili gegei. Gegei da geala asili, fa: no ba: loba, Isala: ili dunu da bagadewane fefedei gia: i ba: i. Isala: ili dunu da 4000 agoane bogogia: i dagoi ba: i.
And the Philistims put themselues in aray against Israel: and when they ioyned the battell, Israel was smitten downe before the Philistims: who slewe of the armie in the fielde about foure thousand men.
3 Amalalu, Isala: ili dadi gagui dunu hame bogoi esalebe da Isala: ili ilia ha wa: i fisisu bu manoba, Isala: ili ouligisu dunu ilia da amane sia: i, “Abuliba: le Hina Gode da Filisidini dunu ninima hasalasima: ne wali logo doasibala: ? Be wali ninia da Siailou moilaiga asili, Hina Gode Ea Gousa: su Sema Gagili lale, amalu ninia da amo gisawene gilisili gegena masunu. Amasea, Hina Gode da ninia ha lai ninima mae hasalasima: ne gaga: mu.”
So when the people were come into the campe, the Elders of Israel said, Wherefore hath the Lord smitten vs this day before ye Philistims? let vs bring the Arke of the couenant of the Lord out of Shiloh vnto vs, that when it commeth among vs, it may saue vs out of the hande of our enemies.
4 Amaiba: le, ilia Gode Ea Gousa: su Sema Gagili (amo ea bai da fedege Hina Gode Bagadedafa Ea gadodafa ida: iwane Fisu), amo gisa misa: ne asunasi. Ilia da amo Gagili gisa manoba, Ilai egefela Hofinai amola Finia: se da oule misi.
Then the people sent to Shiloh, and brought from thence the Arke of the couenant of the Lord of hostes, who dwelleth betweene the Cherubims: and there were the two sonnes of Eli, Hophni, and Phinehas, with the Arke of the couenant of God.
5 Hina Gode Ea Gousa: su Sema Gagili da gisa misini doaga: loba, Isala: ili dunu huluane da ha: giwane nodone wele sia: beba: le, osobo bagade da fogoi.
And when the Arke of the couenant of the Lord came into the hoste, all Israel shouted a mightie shoute, so that the earth rang againe.
6 Filisidini dunu ilia da Hina Godema nodosu sia: amo huhududabe agoai amo nababeba: le, amane sia: i, “Nabima! Hibulu ha wa: i fisisu huhududabe goma. Gomo da abolebela: ?” Ilia da nabagaloba Hina Gode Ea Gousa: su Gagili da Hibulu ha wa: i fisisu gisa misi sia: be nababeba: le,
And when the Philistims heard the noyse of the shoute, they said, What meaneth the sound of this mightie shoute in the host of the Ebrewes? and they vnderstoode, that the Arke of the Lord was come into the hoste.
7 ilia da bagade beda: i galu. Ilia da amane sia: i, ‘gode’ afae da ilia ha wa: i fisisuga doaga: i dagoi. Ninimone da wadela: mu wea! Agoaiwane hou ninima da musa: hame doaga: i.
And the Philistims were afraide, and saide, God is come into the hoste: therefore saide they, Wo vnto vs: for it hath not bene so heretofore.
8 Ilia ‘gode’lali da gasa bagadeba: le, ninimone da nowa gaga: ma: bela: ? Amo ‘gode’lali da hafoga: i sogega Idibidi dunu huluane medole legei.
Wo vnto vs, who shall deliuer vs out of the hande of these mightie Gods? these are the Gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wildernes.
9 Filisidini dunu! Gasa fima: i! Hame amaiada, Hibulu dunu ilia da ninia udigili hawa: hamosu dunu esalebe ba: i. Amo defele ninia da ilia udigili hawa: hamosu dunu agoai esaloma: bela: ? Amasa: besa: gini gasa fili, nimiwane gegema!”
Be strong and play the men, O Philistims, that ye be not seruants vnto the Ebrewes, as they haue serued you: be valiant therefore, and fight.
10 Filisidini dunu ili da gasa filiwane gegebeba: le, Isala: ili dunu osa: la heda: i dagoi. Isala: ili dunu mogili da ilia diasuga hobeale afia: i. Amalu ba: loba, dunu fai bogogia: i da bagadedafa ba: i. Isala: ili dunu da ba: loba, 30,000 agoane bogogia: i dagoi ba: i.
And the Philistims fought, and Israel was smitten downe, and fled euery man into his tent: and there was an exceeding great slaughter: for there fell of Israel thirtie thousand footemen.
11 Filisidini dunu da Gode Ea Gousa: su Sema Gagili samogei dagoi. Amola Ilai egefela Hofenai amola Finia: se, ela da ele galu medole legei dagoi ba: i.
And the Arke of God was taken, and the two sonnes of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas died.
12 Bediamini fi dunu afae da gegesu soge fisili, amogalamusu hobeale hehenaia ahoana, Siailou moilaiga doaga: i. Ea da: i dioi dawa: digima: ne, e da abula gadelai amola dialuma da: iya osobo duduli gala: i ba: i.
And there ranne a man of Beniamin out of the armie, and came to Shiloh the same day with his clothes rent, and earth vpon his head.
13 E da doaga: le ba: loba, Ilai da Gode Ea Gousa: su Sema Gagili amo fawane bagade dada: wa: sa, logo bega: hi fisu fafai da: iya fili, si godonasia sosodosa esalebe ba: i. Amo dunu da amo fefedei sia: moilai fi dunuma sisia: i lai. Amalalu, dunu huluane beda: ga bulili didigia: i.
And when hee came, loe, Eli sate vpon a seate by the wayside, wayting: for his heart feared for the Arke of God and when the man came into the citie to tell it, all the citie cried out.
14 Ilai da amo bulibi nababeba: le, e da amane adole ba: i, “Gomo da abuliga sia: gomo wali heda: sala: ?” Amo dunu da Ilaima amo sia: adomusa: hedolowane hehenai.
And when Eli heard the noyse of the crying, he sayd, What meaneth this noyse of the tumult? and the man came in hastily, and tolde Eli.
15 (Ilai da ode98gadenenewane gidigimuba: le, ea si da gadenenewane dofoidafa.)
(Nowe Eli was fourescore and eighteene yeere olde, and his eyes were dimme that hee could not see)
16 Amo dunu da Ilaima amane sia: i, “Na da gegenanua amonini wali hobeale misi wea.” Ilai da ema adole ba: i, “Nagofe! Abuli hamoi!”
And the man sayd vnto Eli, I came from the armie, and I fled this day out of the hoste: and he sayd, What thing is done, my sonne?
17 Sia: adola ahoasu dunu da amane sia: i, “Isala: ili dunu da Filisidini dunu amoba: le hobeale afia: i. Amo gegesu da ninima hasalasidafa. Amogalu, dia gofela Hofenai amola Finia: sela da fai bogoi dagoi, amola Gode Ea Sema Gousa: su Gagili da ha lai dunuga fedei dagoi ba: i.”
Then the messenger answered and sayd, Israel is fled before the Philistims, and there hath bene also a great slaughter among the people: and moreouer thy two sonnes, Hophni and Phinehas are dead, and the Arke of God is taken.
18 Be amo dunu da Gode Ea Sema Gousa: su Gagili amo ha lai dunuga fedei sia: beba: le, Ilai da baliguduli muwane sa: ili, logo holei bega: gala: la sa: i. E da da: i hamoi amola basuluiba: le, ea mugi dugini gala: le, e bogoi. E da Isala: ili soge amo ganodini ode 40 agoane bisisu dunu esalu.
And when he had made mention of the Arke of God, Eli fell from his seate backward by the side of the gate, and his necke was broken, and he dyed: for he was an olde man and heauie: and he had iudged Israel fourtie yeeres.
19 Ilai egefe Finia: se idua da abula aguiba: le, mano lalelegemu da gadenei ba: i. E da Gode Ea Gousa: su Sema Gagili amo da fedelai dagoi amola ea nawi Ilai amola egoa Finia: se da bogoi dagoi nababeba: le, e da hedolowane asili, mano lamusa: se nabalu, mano lalelegei.
And his daughter in lawe Phinehas wife was with childe neere her trauell: and when she heard the report that the Arke of God was taken, and that her father in lawe and her husband were dead, she bowed her selfe, and trauailed: for her paines came vpon her.
20 E da sega bogolaloba, ea fidisu uda ilia ema amane sia: i, “Di mae beda: ma! Be di da dunu mano lalelegei dagoi.” Be e da mae nabawene amola ilia sia: hame alofei.
And about the time of her death, the women that stoode about her, sayd vnto her, Feare not: for thou hast borne a sonne: but she answered not, nor regarded it.
21 E da mano amo ea dio Igabode asuli. Amo dio ea dawa: loma: ne da “Gode Ea hadigi da Isala: ili fi fisiagai.” Bai Gode Ea Gousa: su Sema Gagili da ha lai dunuga fedei dagoi, amola ea nawi amola egoa da bogoi, amo e dawa: beba: le sia: i.
And she named the childe Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel, because the Arke of God was taken, and because of her father in lawe and her husband.
22 E amane sia: i, “Gode Ea hadigi da Isala: ili fi fisiagai dagoi. Bai Gode Ea Gousa: su Sema Gagili da fedei dagoi ba: i.”
She sayde againe, The glory is departed from Israel: for the Arke of God is taken.
