1 Hou Olelesu 23
1 Da: ibidi da da: idafa hamonoba, e da egefe Soloumane da Isala: ili fi ilia hina bagade hamoi.
So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
2 Hina bagade Da: ibidi da Isala: ili fi ouligisu dunu amola gobele salasu dunu amola Lifai fi dunu huluane gilisi.
And he assembled all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.
3 E da Lifai fi dunumusu amo da ode 30 agoane lalelegele esalu, amola ode 30 baligi, amo idimusa: ilia dio dedei. Ili idi da 38,000 agoane ba: i.
Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand.
4 Da: ibidi da ilima hawa: hamosu agoane ilelegei. Dunu 24,000 agoane da Debolo Diasu ouligima: ne ilelegei. Dunu 6,000 agoane da dawa: musa: dedene legesu ouligima: ne amola sia: ga gegesu fofada: su ouligima: ne ilelegei. Dunu 4,000 agoane da sosodo aligisu ouligima: ne ilelegei. Of which, twenty and four thousand [were] to oversee the work of the house of the LORD; and six thousand [were] officers and judges:
Moreover, four thousand [were] porters; and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made, [said David], to praise [with them].
6 Da: ibidi da gilisisu udiana hamoma: ne, Lifai fi dunu momogi. Amo gilisisu udiana da Gesione sosogo, Gouha: de sosogo amola Milalai sosogo.
And David divided them into courses among the sons of Levi, [namely], Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
7 Gesione ea mano aduna da La: ida: ne amola Simiai.
Of the Gershonites, [were], Laadan and Shimei.
8 La: ida: ne ea mano udiana da Yihaiele, Sida: me amola Youele.
The sons of Laadan: the chief [was] Jehiel, and Zetham, and Joel, three.
9 Simiai ea mano udiana da Siloumidi, Ha: isiele amola Ha: ila: ne. (Ilia da La: ida: ne egaga fi ilima fada: i dunu esafulu)
The sons of Shimei; Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haran, three. These [were] the chief of the fathers of Laadan.
10 Simiai ea mano biyaduale da Ya: iha: de (magobo mano), Saina, Yeuse amola Bilaia da (ufi mano). Yeuese amola Bilaia elagaga fi da bagahameba: le, ela gilisili sosogo afae fawane idi.
And the sons of Shimei [were], Jahath, Zina, and Jeush and Beriah. These four [were] the sons of Shimei.
And Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second: but Jeush and Beriah had not many sons; therefore they were in one reckoning, according to [their] father's house.
12 Gouha: de ea mano biyaduale da A: mala: me, Aisiha, Hibalone amola Asaiele.
The sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.
13 Ea magobo dunu mano da A: mala: me. A: mala: me, egefela da Elane amola Mousese. (Elane amola egaga fi, ilia hawa: hamosu da agoane ilegei. Ilia da Hina Godema nodone sia: ne gadomusa: hadigi liligi amo ouligimu, Godema nodoma: ne gabusiga: manoma gobele salimu, Ea hawa: hamomu, amola Isala: ili dunuma Hina Gode Ea Dioba: le hahawane dogolegele hou imunu, amo huluane hamoma: ne ilegei dagoi.
The sons of Amram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister to him, and to bless in his name for ever.
14 Be Gode Ea hawa: hamosu dunu Mousesegefela, da Lifai fi amo ganodini idi.)
Now [concerning] Moses the man of God, his sons were named of the tribe of Levi.
15 Mousese egefela da Gesiome amola Elia: isa.
The sons of Moses [were], Gershom, and Eliezer.
16 Gesiome ea magobo mano da Sibiuele.
Of the sons of Gershom; Shebuel [was] the chief.
17 Elia: isa da dunu mano afadafa galu. Ea dio da Liha: baia. Be Liha: baia egaga fi dunu da bagohame galu.
And the sons of Eliezer [were], Rehabiah the chief. And Eliezer had no other sons; but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
18 Gouha: de magobo bagia dunu mano da Aisiha. Aisiha egefe da Siloumidi. E da ea sosogo fi ilima fada: i galu.
Of the sons of Izhar; Shelomith the chief.
19 Gouha: de egefe Aisiha amo bagia da Hibalone. Hibalone egefelali da Yelaia, A:malaia, Yaha: isiele amola Yega: mia: ne.
Of the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jehaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
20 Gouha: de egefe ufi da Asaiele. Asaiele egefela da Maiga amola Yisaia: i.
Of the sons of Uzziel; Micah the first, and Jesiah the second.
21 Milalai egefela da Malai amola Miusiai. Malai egefela da Elia: isa amola Gisia.
The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. The sons of Mahli; Eleazar, and Kish.
22 Elia: isa da dunu mano hamedene, bogoi. E da uda manomusu galu. Ea uda manoni da ilia elafi (Gisia egefelali) ilima fi.
And Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters: and their brethren the sons of Kish took them.
23 Milalai egefe magobo bagia amo Miusiai egefelali da Malai, Ide amola Yelimode.
The sons of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jeremoth, three.
24 Amo dunu huluane da Lifai egaga fifi misi. Ili huluane da ilia dio amola ilia sosogo fi defele, dedene legei ba: i. Lifai egaga fi dunu amo da ode 20 amola baligi, ilia huluane afae afae da Hina Gode Ea Debolo Diasu ganodini hawa: hamonanu.
These [were] the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; [even] the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and upward.
25 Da: ibidi da amane sia: i, “Isala: ili fi ilia Hina Gode da Ea fi ilima olofosu i dagoi. Amola Hisu da Yelusaleme ganodini eso huluane esalalalumu.
For David said, The LORD God of Israel hath given rest to his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever;
26 Amaiba: le, Lifai fi dunu ilia da Hina Gode Ea Hadigi Abula Diasu amola liligi Godema nodone sia: ne gadomusa: hamoi, amo gaguli masunu hawa: hamosu da hame gala.”
And also to the Levites: they shall no [more] carry the tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for its service.
27 Da: ibidi ea dagomusa: gini hamoma: ne sia: beba: le, Lifai dunu huluane da ilia lalelegei ode 20 amoga doaga: loba, hawa: hamoma: ne dedene legei.
For by the last words of David the Levites [were] numbered from twenty years old and above:
28 - Ilia da amo hawa: hamoma: ne ilegei: - (a) Elane egaga fi gobele salasu dunu, ilia Debolo Diasu ganodini Godema nodone sia: ne gadosu, amo fidima: ne ilegei. (b) Debolo gagoi amola sesei huluane, amola hadigi Godema nodone sia: ne gadomusa: liligi huluane amo noga: le ouligima: ne ilegei. (c) Ilia da Godema iasu liligi huluane ouligima: ne ilegei. Amo da agi, falaua, Yisidi hame sali belawagi, amola falaua amola olife susuligi gilisi iasu. (d) Ilia da Debolo gobele salasu liligi huluane dioi defei amola sedade defei, amo ba: ma: ne ilegei. (e) Ilia da hahabe, amola daeya, amola adi esoga Isala: ili dunu da Sa: bade gobele salasu amola Oubi Gaheabologa Lolo Nasu gobele salasu hamoi, Hina Godema nodone sia: ne gadosu hou, mae fisili hamonanoma: ne ilegei dagoi. (f) Ilia da Hina Gode Ea Abula Diasu amola Debolo Diasu noga: le ouligima: ne ilegei. Amola ilia da ilia fi dunu amo Elane egaga fi gobele salasu dunu, amo ilia Debolo ganodini Godema nodone sia: ne gadosu hou fidima: ne, Lifai fi da ilegei dagoi ba: i.
Because their office [was] to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the LORD, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God;
Both for the show-bread, and for the fine flour for meat-offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for [that which is baked in] the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size;
And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at evening;
And to offer all burnt-sacrifices to the LORD on the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded to them, continually before the LORD:
And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the holy [place], and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of the LORD.
