1 farub mib tomange wo na yobe ce ma mulang kume ne, take gwam ciye na kulum kace na ne kom bi kwan nere
This second epistle, beloved, I now write to you; in [both] which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2 be na kom bulamgi ki kero nob tomange kange werfune wo teluwebe kange nii wo yafulo be nee nob tomange be
That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior:
3 yomom nob buwomeb an bow diye dika kume. ciyan buwo dike ci cwiye
Knowing this first, that there will come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 ciyan yii kom kin fee nor yilakako? ka ciko tebbebo daken dume, dikero gwam tim ka cikca kwatti ter fwelkake.
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation.
5 ci ki mantum tabum fiya no ki ker kwamar dii ko kange Bitru fiya yime mor mweme
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 take mwem wer kale, kale dim ka mwem
By which the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 ka cikna kere, dii ko kange dor bitiner kum kira yome bi diye bolange kange werka nobo bwang ten bo kwama.
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 farub kom tabre kume win fiye Teluwebe diye nine, na coro kwini bikate, coro kwini bikate na kume wine
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 kwama tibrang bo ki norcero, nawo kangem yi ti ki. tibrang tiye, nyeu co bii ner dor mwer co cwibo kange kume a kayam, di la gwam na fiya da yiloka
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 duwal kume kwama a bo na nii kuye. dii ko a cum ki diro dur. tibitinimbo a twim ki kira. tab-tab.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein will be burned up.
11 nyori tibitininbo wo gwam anwuro, nyeu ka yila nobo wani? kom yii wucak kange cwi kwama.
[Seeing] then [that] all these things will be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy deportment and godliness,
12 kom ningtang diye boka kwama ko ti, diye co dii kwama an werum ki kira, tibitinimbo wuyak bwiyem kicilen kambo ken.
Looking for and hasting to the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens being on fire will be dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
13 dila nor ce, bo nintang dii kwama fwirko kange dor bitinero fwirko wo nobo cak-cak a yim tiye.
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, in which dwelleth righteousness.
14 nyori faumib, nyeu ko cwi dige wo tiyeu, dibe ko ti bati a fiya nen de ki duti mo tim cakcak kabom cem ki fowor nere.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found by him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 take to birum nee kwama co fulokako, nawo yibe bulu mulange ki yilen do kwama ne co.
And account [that] the long-suffering of our Lord [is] salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, hath written to you;
16 bulu tok dige wo mor bi fumer ceronin, wo kangem dikero wi wo bwai nyomka. fwandika kange nobo tibo fiye wine bongum digero wo na wo ci ma kangem bifumero ni neu, nur bware ciye
As also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as [they do] also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.
17 na weu farubmib kweri ka nyomom digerowo nyeu, ywelum bwi kume, kati nobo bwangten bo werfunere bol kom, lem bilenkere kume nin. la kom
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
18 dwi mor luma kange nyomka teluwe nii fuloka Yeecu kiritti duktangka na ce diri-diri (aiōn g165)
But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
