1 Bəs nə deyə bilərik? Günah işlətməyi davam etdirək ki, Allahın lütfü çoxalsın?
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that favour may abound?
2 Əsla! İndi ki biz günaha münasibətdə ölmüşük, artıq günah içində necə yaşaya bilərik?
By no means. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Məgər bilmirsiniz ki, biz hamımız Məsih İsa ilə birləşmək üçün vəftiz olunarkən həmin vəftizlə Onun ölümü ilə birləşdik?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Yahushua the Messiah were baptized into his death?
4 Deməli, vəftiz olunub Onun ölümü ilə birləşməklə biz də Onunla birgə dəfn olunduq; belə ki Atanın izzəti ilə Məsih ölülər arasından dirildiyi kimi biz də həmin cür yeni həyat sürək.
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as the Messiah was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 Əgər Onun ölümünə bənzər ölümdə Onunla bir olmuşuqsa, Onun dirilməsinə bənzər dirilmədə də Onunla bir olacağıq.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Bunu bilirik ki, günahlı bədənin aradan qaldırılması üçün, daha günaha qul olmayaq deyə köhnə mənliyimiz Onunla birlikdə çarmıxa çəkildi.
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 Çünki ölmüş adam günahdan azad olub.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Əgər Məsihlə ölmüşüksə, Onunla yaşayacağımıza da inanırıq.
Now if we be dead with the Messiah, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Çünki bilirik ki, Məsih ölülər arasından dirildiyinə görə bir daha ölməyəcək və ölüm Ona artıq hökmranlıq etməz.
Knowing that the Messiah being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 Onun ölümü günahın müqabilində ilk və son ölüm oldu, yaşadığı həyatı isə Allah üçün yaşayır.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto YHWH.
11 Beləcə siz də özünüzü Məsih İsada olaraq günaha münasibətdə ölü, Allaha münasibətdə isə diri sayın.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto YHWH through Yahushua the Messiah our Saviour.
12 Ona görə də qoymayın ki, günah sizin fani bədəninizə hökmranlıq etsin və siz də bədəninizin ehtiraslarına itaət edəsiniz.
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Bədəninizin üzvlərini də haqsızlıq aləti olmaq üçün günaha təslim etməyin; əksinə, özünüzü ölülər arasından dirilənlər kimi Allaha, bədəninizin üzvlərini də salehlik aləti olmaq üçün yenə Allaha təslim edin.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto YHWH, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto YHWH.
14 Günah sizə hökmranlıq etməyəcək, ona görə ki siz Qanun altında deyil, lütf altındasınız.
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under favour.
15 İndi nə edək? Qanun altında deyil, lütf altında olduğumuz üçün günah edəkmi? Əsla!
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under favour? By no means.
16 Məgər bilmirsiniz ki, itaətli qullar kimi özünüzü kimə təslim etsəniz, onun da qullarısınız? Ya ölümə aparan günahın ya da salehliyə aparan itaətin qulları ola bilərsiniz.
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 Amma Allaha şükür olsun ki, əvvəllər günahın qulları olduğunuz halda özünüzü həsr etdiyiniz təlimin nümunəsinə ürəkdən itaət etdiniz.
But YHWH be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Beləcə günahdan azad olub salehliyin qulu oldunuz.
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19 Cismani təbiətinizin zəifliyi üzündən insanların düşündüyü kimi danışıram. Necə əvvəllər üzvlərinizi murdarlığa və Qanunu pozmaq üçün qanunsuzluğa qul kimi təslim etmişdiniz, eləcə də indi üzvlərinizi müqəddəs olmaq üçün salehliyə qul kimi təslim edin.
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20 Çünki siz günahın qulları olanda salehliyə əməl etməkdən azad idiniz.
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21 Bəs o zaman nə bəhrə götürdünüz? İndi artıq o şeylərdən utanırsınız. Axı onların axırı ölümdür.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
