1 Ya Rəbb, qisas alan Allah! Ey qisas alan Allah, nurunu saç!
The Lord is the God to whom revenge belongeth: the God of revenge hath acted freely.
2 Ey dünyanın Hakimi, qalx, Təkəbbürlülərin əvəzini ödə!
Lift up thyself, thou that judgest the earth: render a reward to the proud.
3 Ya Rəbb, nə vaxtadək pislər – Axı nə vaxtadək pislər sevincdən cuşa gələcəklər?
How long shall sinners, O Lord: how long shall sinners glory?
4 Dillərindən lovğa sözlər tökülür, Bütün şər iş görənlər öyünürlər.
Shall they utter, and speak iniquity: shall all speak who work injustice?
5 Ya Rəbb, xalqını əzirlər, Sənin irsindən olan adamlara zülm edirlər.
Thy people, O Lord, they have brought low: and they have afflicted thy inheritance.
6 Dul qadını və qəribi öldürürlər, Yetimləri qırırlar.
They have slain the widow and the stranger: and they have murdered the fatherless.
7 Belə deyirlər: «Rəbb heç nə görmür, Yaqubun Allahı heç nə dərk etmir».
And they have said: The Lord shall not see: neither shall the God of Jacob understand.
8 Dərk edin, ey xalqın nadanları! Ey axmaqlar, nə vaxt ağla gələcəksiniz?
Understand, ye senseless among the people: and, you fools, be wise at last.
9 Qulaqları yaradan eşitməzmi? Gözlərə quruluş verən görməzmi?
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that formed the eye, doth he not consider?
10 Məgər millətlərə təlim verən, İnsanlara bilik öyrədən tənbeh etməzmi?
He that chastiseth nations, shall he not rebuke: he that teacheth man knowledge?
11 Rəbb insanın düşüncələrini görər, Bunların boş olduğunu bilər.
The Lord knoweth the thoughts of men, that they are vain.
12 Ya Rəbb, bəxtiyar o insandır ki, ona təlim vermisən, Öz qanununu öyrətmisən!
Blessed is the man whom thou shalt instruct, O Lord: and shalt teach him out of thy law.
13 Pislər üçün qəbir qazılanadək Onu dar gündən çıxarıb dinclik verəcəksən.
That thou mayst give him rest from the evil days: till a pit be dug for the wicked.
14 Çünki Rəbb xalqını Özündən ayırmaz, İrsini Öz əlindən verməz.
For the Lord will not cast off his people: neither will he forsake his own inheritance.
15 Yenə ədalətli hökmlər çıxarılacaq, Ürəyidüz olanlar haqqın ardınca gedəcək.
Until justice be turned into judgment: and they that are near it are all the upright in heart.
16 Kim mənim üçün pislərə qarşı durar? Şər iş görənlərə qarşı kim müdafiəçim olar?
Who shall rise up for me against the evildoers? or who shall stand with me against the workers of iniquity?
17 Əgər Rəbb köməyim olmasaydı, Canım sükut diyarına vaxtsız köçərdi.
Unless the Lord had been my helper, my soul had almost dwelt in hell. (questioned)
18 Mən «ayağım büdrəyir» deyən zaman, Ya Rəbb, mənə məhəbbətinlə dayaqsan.
If I said: My foot is moved: thy mercy, O Lord, assisted me.
19 Mən daxilən çox narahat olarkən Təsəlli verərək məni fərəhləndirirsən.
According to the multitude of my sorrows in my heart, thy comforts have given joy to my soul.
20 Qanun bəhanəsi ilə şər quran Əzazil hökmdarlardan Sənə yoldaş olarmı?
Doth the seat of iniquity stick to thee, who framest labour in commandment?
21 Əlbir olub salehlərin canına qəsd qururlar, Məhkum edib təqsirsizin qanına bais olurlar.
They will hunt after the soul of the just, and will condemn innocent blood.
22 Amma Rəbb mənə qala oldu, Allahım mənə sığınacaq bir qaya oldu!
But the Lord is my refuge: and my God the help of my hope.
23 Pislərin şər işlərini başlarına gətirəcək, Pisliklərinə görə onları yox edəcək, Bəli, Allahımız Rəbb onları yox edəcək!
And he will render them their iniquity: and in their malice he will destroy them: the Lord our God will destroy them.
