1 Ehtiyatlı olun, siz saleh iş görəndə bunu insanların önündə, onlara göstərmək üçün etməyin. Yoxsa göylərdə olan Atanızdan mükafat almazsınız.
“Be careful not to do your charitable giving before the people so as to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father who is in the heavens.
2 Ona görə də sədəqə verdiyin zaman önündə şeypur səsi ilə car çəkmə. Çünki adamlar onları izzətləndirsin deyə ikiüzlülər sinaqoqlarda və küçələrdə belə edirlər. Sizə doğrusunu deyirəm: onlar mükafatlarını alıblar.
Therefore, whenever you do charitable giving do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by the people. Assuredly I say to you, they already have their reward.
3 Amma sən sədəqə verdiyin zaman sol əlin sağ əlinin nə etdiyini bilməsin.
But when you do charitable giving do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
4 Belə ki verdiyin sədəqə gizli qalsın. Gizlində olanı görən Atan səni mükafatlandıracaq.
so that your charitable giving may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself repay you openly.
5 Dua etdiyiniz zaman da ikiüzlülər kimi olmayın. Çünki belələri adamlar onları görsün deyə sinaqoqlarda və küçə tinlərində durub dua etməyi sevirlər. Sizə doğrusunu deyirəm: onlar mükafatlarını alıblar.
And whenever you pray do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners, so that they may be seen by the people. Assuredly I say to you that they already have their reward.
6 Amma sən dua etdiyin zaman öz otağına gir və qapını örtüb gizlində olan Atana dua et. Gizlində olanı görən Atan səni mükafatlandıracaq.
But you, whenever you pray, go into your room, and having shut the door pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you openly.
7 Dua edəndə bütpərəstlər kimi boşboğazlıq etməyin. Çünki onlar düşünür ki, çox söz söyləməklə eşidiləcəklər.
“But when you pray do not babble like the heathen; for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
8 Siz onlara bənzəməyin! Çünki Atanız nələrə ehtiyacınız olduğunu siz Ondan diləməzdən əvvəl bilir.
So do not be like them, because your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
9 Buna görə siz belə dua edin: “Göylərdə olan Atamız, Adın müqəddəs tutulsun,
Therefore, you pray like this: ‘Our Father who is in the heavens, let Your name be reverenced;
10 Padşahlığın gəlsin, Göydə olduğu kimi Yerdə də Sənin iradən olsun.
let Your kingdom come, let Your will be done, on the earth just as in heaven.
11 Gündəlik çörəyimizi bizə bu gün ver.
Give us today our daily bread;
12 Bizə borclu olanları bağışladığımız kimi Bizim borclarımızı da bağışla.
and forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
13 Bizi sınağa çəkmə, Lakin bizi şər olandan xilas et. Çünki padşahlıq, qüdrət və izzət Əbədi olaraq Sənindir. Amin”.
And do not bring us into testing, but rescue us from the evil one; because Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’
14 Əgər başqa insanların təqsirlərini bağışlasanız, Səmavi Atanız da sizi bağışlayar.
For if you forgive people their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 Amma siz başqa insanları bağışlamasanız, Atanız da sizin təqsirlərinizi bağışlamaz.
But if you do not forgive people their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
16 Oruc tutduğunuz zaman ikiüzlülər kimi qaşqabaqlı gəzməyin. Onlar oruc tutduqlarını insanlara göstərmək üçün üzlərini tutqun hala salırlar. Sizə doğrusunu deyirəm: onlar mükafatlarını alıblar.
“Also, whenever you fast do not become gloomy like the hypocrites, because they disfigure their faces so that people will notice that they are fasting. Assuredly I say to you that they already have their reward.
17 Amma sən oruc tutanda başına yağ çək və üzünü yu.
But when you fast anoint your head and wash your face,
18 Belə ki insanlara deyil, gizlində olan Atana oruclu görünəsən. Gizlində olanı görən Atan səni mükafatlandıracaq.
so that you do not appear to the people to be fasting, but to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.
19 Yer üzündə özünüzə xəzinələr yığmayın. Orada güvə və pas onları məhv edər ya da oğrular girib oğurlayar.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust ruin and where thieves break in and steal;
20 Bunun yerinə özünüzə göydə xəzinələr yığın. Orada nə güvə, nə pas onları məhv edər, nə də oğrular girib oğurlayar.
but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust ruins and where thieves neither break in nor steal;
21 Çünki xəzinən haradadırsa, ürəyin də orada olacaq.
because where your treasure is there your heart will be also.
22 Bədənin çırağı gözdür. Əgər gözün sağlam olarsa, bütün bədənin də nurlu olacaq.
“The lamp of the body is the eye. So if your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.
23 Yox, əgər gözün zəif görərsə, bütün bədənin qaranlıq olacaq. Əgər səndəki “nur” qaranlıqdırsa, zülmət nə qədər böyükdür!
But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. So if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 Heç kim iki ağaya qulluq edə bilməz. Çünki ya birinə nifrət edib o birisini sevəcək ya da birinə bağlı qalıb o birisinə xor baxacaq. Siz həm Allaha, həm də sərvətə qulluq edə bilməzsiniz.
“No one is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
25 Buna görə sizə deyirəm: “Nə yeyəcəyik?” və ya “Nə içəcəyik?” deyə canınız üçün, “Nə geyinəcəyik?” deyə bədəniniz üçün qayğı çəkməyin. Can yeməkdən, bədən isə geyinməkdən daha vacib deyilmi?
Therefore, I say to you not to worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
26 Göydə uçan quşlara baxın: onlar nə əkir, nə biçir, nə də anbarlarda saxlayır. Amma Səmavi Atanız onları yedizdirir. Siz onlardan daha qiymətli deyilsinizmi?
Look at the birds of the air, that they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not superior to them?
27 Hansı biriniz qayğı çəkməklə ömrünü bir anlıq belə, uzada bilər?
And which of you can add one cubit to his stature by worrying?
28 Nəyə görə geyim üçün qayğı çəkirsiniz? Görün çöl zanbaqları necə böyüyür: onlar nə zəhmət çəkir, nə də ip əyirir.
And why do you worry about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither labor nor spin,
29 Lakin sizə bunu deyirəm ki, bütün cah-calalı içində olan Süleyman belə, bunlardan biri kimi geyinməmişdi.
and yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was arrayed like one of these.
30 Ey imanı az olanlar, bu gün olub sabah ocağa atılan çöl otunu Allah belə geyindirirsə, sizi geyindirəcəyi daha da yəqin deyilmi?
Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which exists today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, you little-faiths?
31 Beləliklə, “Nə yeyəcəyik?”, “Nə içəcəyik?” və ya “Nə geyəcəyik?” deyə qayğı çəkməyin.
Therefore do not worry saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 Çünki bütpərəstlər bütün bu şeyləri axtarırlar. Doğrudan da, Səmavi Atanız bütün bunlara ehtiyacınız olduğunu bilir.
For the pagans seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need each of these things.
33 Ona görə də siz əvvəlcə Allahın Padşahlığını və Onun salehliyini axtarın. Onda bunların hamısı sizə əlavə olaraq veriləcək.
Rather, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 Beləliklə, sabahın qayğısını çəkməyin. Çünki sabahkı gün özü üçün qayğı çəkəcək. Hər günün öz yamanlığı kifayətdir!
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own affairs. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
