1 Büdrəməyəsiniz deyə bunları sizə söylədim.
These things have I spoken to you, that you should not be offended.
2 Sizi sinaqoqlardan qovacaqlar. Hətta o zaman gəlir ki, sizi öldürən hər kəs Allaha xidmət etdiyini zənn edəcək.
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yes, the time comes, that whoever kills you will think that he does God service.
3 Onlar bunları edəcəklər, çünki nə Atanı, nə də Məni tanıdılar.
And these things will they do to you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
4 İndi bu şeyləri sizə bildirdim ki, vaxtı gələndə sizə söylədiyimi yada salasınız. Əvvəldən bunları sizə söyləmədim, çünki sizinlə birlikdə idim.
But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not to you at the beginning, because I was with you.
5 İndi isə Məni Göndərənin yanına gedirəm və heç biriniz Məndən “Hara gedirsən?” deyə soruşmur.
But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asks me, Where go you?
6 Amma sizə bu şeyləri söylədiyim üçün ürəyiniz kədərlə doldu.
But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.
7 Bununla belə, Mən sizə həqiqəti söyləyirəm: Mənim getməyim sizin xeyrinizədir. Çünki getməsəm, Vəsatətçi yanınıza gəlməz, amma getsəm, Onu sizə göndərəcəyəm.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you.
8 O gələndə günah, salehlik və mühakimə barədə dünyanı ifşa edəcək:
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 günah barədə, çünki Mənə iman etmirlər;
Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 salehlik barədə, çünki Atanın yanına gedirəm və daha Məni görməyəcəksiniz;
Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and you see me no more;
11 mühakimə barədə, çünki bu dünyanın hökmdarı mühakimə olunub.
Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
12 Hələ sizə söylənəcək çoxlu sözüm var, amma indi bunlar ağlınıza sığmaz.
I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
13 Lakin O – həqiqət Ruhu gələndə sizə hər həqiqətə yol göstərəcək. Çünki heç nəyi Özündən söyləməyəcək, nə eşidirsə, onu söyləyəcək və gələcəyi sizə bildirəcək.
However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
14 O Məni izzətləndirəcək, çünki Mənim olandan götürüb sizə bildirəcək.
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it to you.
15 Atanın hər nəyi varsa, Mənimdir. Buna görə də “Mənim olandan götürüb sizə bildirəcək” söylədim.
All things that the Father has are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it to you.
16 Az bir müddətdən sonra Məni artıq görməyəcəksiniz, az bir müddətdən də sonra Məni yenə görəcəksiniz».
A little while, and you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and you shall see me, because I go to the Father.
17 O vaxt İsanın bəzi şagirdləri bir-birinə dedilər: «“Az bir müddətdən sonra Məni görməyəcəksiniz, az bir müddətdən də sonra yenə görəcəksiniz” və “çünki Atanın yanına gedirəm” sözlərinin mənası nədir?»
Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he says to us, A little while, and you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and you shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
18 Öz aralarında soruşurdular: «Söylədiyi “az bir müddət” nə deməkdir? Nə dediyini anlamırıq».
They said therefore, What is this that he says, A little while? we cannot tell what he said.
19 İsa Ondan soruşmaq istədiklərini bilib onlara dedi: «“Az bir müddətdən sonra Məni görməyəcəksiniz, az bir müddətdən də sonra yenə görəcəksiniz” sözüm barədəmi bir-birinizdən soruşursunuz?
Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said to them, Do you inquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and you shall see me?
20 Doğrusunu, doğrusunu sizə deyirəm: siz ağlayıb nalə çəkəcəksiniz, dünya isə sevinəcək; siz kədərlənəcəksiniz, amma kədəriniz sevincə dönəcək.
Truly, truly, I say to you, That you shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and you shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
21 Qadın doğuş zamanı kədərlənər, çünki vaxtı çatıb. Amma uşağı doğandan sonra dünyaya bir insan gətirməyinin sevincinə görə çəkdiyi ağrını yaddan çıxarar.
A woman when she is in travail has sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembers no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
22 Beləcə siz də indi kədərlisiniz. Lakin Mən sizi yenə görəcəyəm, onda ürəyiniz sevinəcək və heç kəs sevincinizi sizdən ala bilməyəcək.
And you now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man takes from you.
23 O gün Məndən heç nə soruşmayacaqsınız. Doğrusunu, doğrusunu sizə deyirəm: Mənim adımla Atadan nə diləyirsinizsə, O sizə verəcək.
And in that day you shall ask me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, Whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 İndiyə qədər Mənim adımla heç nə diləmədiniz. Diləyin, alacaqsınız, ta ki sevinciniz kamil olsun.
Till now have you asked nothing in my name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.
25 Sizə bu şeyləri məsəllərlə söylədim. İndi elə bir zaman gəlir ki, daha məsəllərlə sizinlə danışmayacağam, amma Ata barədə sizə açıq danışacağam.
These things have I spoken to you in proverbs: but the time comes, when I shall no more speak to you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.
26 O gün siz Mənim adımla diləyəcəksiniz. Mən sizin barənizdə Atadan bir şey xahiş edəcəyimi söyləmirəm.
At that day you shall ask in my name: and I say not to you, that I will pray the Father for you:
27 Axı Ata Özü sizi sevir, çünki siz Məni sevdiniz və Mənim Allahın yanından gəldiyimə inandınız.
For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
28 Atanın yanından dünyaya gəldim, yenə dünyanı tərk edib Atanın yanına gedirəm».
I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
29 Şagirdləri dedi: «Budur, indi açıq danışırsan, heç bir məsəl söyləmirsən.
His disciples said to him, See, now speak you plainly, and speak no proverb.
30 İndi anlayırıq ki, Sən hər şeyi bilirsən və heç kəsin Səndən soruşmasına ehtiyacın yoxdur. Buna görə də Allahdan gəldiyinə inanırıq».
Now are we sure that you know all things, and need not that any man should ask you: by this we believe that you came forth from God.
31 İsa onlara dedi: «İndi inanırsınızmı?
Jesus answered them, Do you now believe?
32 Budur, hər birinizin dağılıb öz evinə gedəcəyiniz və Məni tək qoyacağınız vaxt gəlir və artıq gəlib. Amma Mən tək deyiləm, çünki Ata Mənimlədir.
Behold, the hour comes, yes, is now come, that you shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33 Məndə sülhünüz olsun deyə bunları sizə söylədim. Dünyada əziyyətiniz var, amma cəsarətli olun! Mən dünyaya qalib gəldim».
These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
