Yeremya 37
1 Babil padşahı Navuxodonosorun Yəhudaya təyin etdiyi Yoşiya oğlu Sidqiya, Yehoyaqim oğlu Yehoyakinin yerinə padşah oldu.
And king Zedekiah the son of Josiah reigned instead of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah.
2 Ancaq Yeremya peyğəmbər vasitəsilə Rəbbin söylədiyi sözlərə nə padşah Sidqiya, nə onun əyanları, nə də ölkə xalqı qulaq asdı.
But neither he, nor his servants, nor the people of the land, hearkened to the words of the LORD, which he spoke by the prophet Jeremiah.
3 Padşah Sidqiya Şelemya oğlu Yehukalı və Maaseya oğlu kahin Sefanyanı Yeremya peyğəmbərin yanına göndərdi ki, ona desinlər: «Bizim üçün Allahımız Rəbbə dua et».
And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Pray now to the LORD our God for us.
4 O vaxt Yeremya xalqın arasında açıq gedib-gəlirdi, çünki onu hələ zindana atmamışdılar.
Now Jeremiah came in and went out among the people: for they had not put him into prison.
5 Bu zaman fironun qoşunları Misirdən çıxmışdı. Yerusəlimi mühasirəyə alan Xaldeylilər bu barədə xəbər eşidən kimi Yerusəlimdən çəkildi.
Then Pharaoh’s army had come from Egypt: and when the Chaldeans that besieged Jerusalem heard tidings of them, they departed from Jerusalem.
6 O vaxt Yeremya peyğəmbərə Rəbbin bu sözü nazil oldu:
Then came the word of the LORD to the prophet Jeremiah, saying,
7 «İsrailin Allahı Rəbb belə deyir: “Məndən soruşmaq üçün sizi yanıma göndərən Yəhuda padşahına söyləyin ki, sizə kömək etməyə çıxan fironun ordusu öz ölkəsinə – Misirə qayıdacaq.
Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say to the king of Judah, that sent you to me to enquire of me; Behold, Pharaoh’s army, which hath come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own land.
8 Xaldeylilər yenə gəlib bu şəhərə hücum edəcək və onu ələ keçirib yandıracaq”.
And the Chaldeans shall come again, and fight against this city, and take it, and burn it with fire.
9 Rəbb belə deyir: “Xaldeylilər mütləq geri çəkiləcək” deyib özünüzü aldatmayın, çünki onlar geri çəkilməyəcək.
Thus saith the LORD; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely depart from us: for they shall not depart.
10 Əgər sizə hücum edən bütün Xaldey ordusunu məğlub etsəniz və onların arasında yalnız yaralı adamlar qalsa belə, yenə hər biri öz çadırından qalxıb bu şəhəri yandıracaq».
For though ye had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yet should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.
11 Firon ordusunun üzündən Xaldey ordusu Yerusəlimdən çəkilən zaman
And it came to pass, that when the army of the Chaldeans was broken up from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh’s army,
12 Yeremya Binyamin torpağına getmək üçün Yerusəlimdən yola düşdü. Oradakı xalq arasında öz irs payını almaq istəyirdi.
Then Jeremiah went out of Jerusalem to go into the land of Benjamin, to separate himself from there in the midst of the people.
13 Binyamin darvazasına çatanda keşikçilərin başçısı Xananya oğlu Şelemya oğlu İriyanı orada gördü. İriya «sən Xaldeylilərin tərəfinə keçirsən» deyərək onu tutdu.
And when he was in the gate of Benjamin, a captain of the guard was there, whose name was Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he took Jeremiah the prophet, saying, Thou fallest away to the Chaldeans.
14 Yeremya «yalandır, mən Xaldeylilərin tərəfinə keçmirəm» dedi. Ancaq İriya Yeremyaya qulaq asmadı və onu tutub başçıların yanına gətirdi.
Then said Jeremiah, It is false; I fall not away to the Chaldeans. But he hearkened not to him: so Irijah took Jeremiah, and brought him to the princes.
15 Başçılar Yeremyaya qəzəblənib onu döydülər. Sonra onu mirzə Yonatanın evinə – həbsxanaya saldılar, çünki o evi həbsxana etmişdilər.
Therefore the princes were angry with Jeremiah, and beat him, and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that the prison.
16 Yeremya çəni olan zirzəmidə zindana salındı, uzun müddət orada qaldı.
When Jeremiah had entered into the dungeon, and into the cells, and Jeremiah had remained there many days;
17 O zaman padşah Sidqiya adam göndərib onu gətirtdi. Padşah öz sarayında gizlicə ondan soruşdu: «Rəbdən bir söz varmı?» Yeremya «var» deyə cavab verdi, «Babil padşahına təslim ediləcəksən».
Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the LORD? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.
18 Sonra Yeremya padşah Sidqiyaya dedi: «Sənə, əyanlarına və bu xalqa qarşı nə günah etdim ki, məni həbsxanaya saldınız?
Moreover Jeremiah said to king Zedekiah, How have I offended against thee, or against thy servants, or against this people, that ye have put me in prison?
19 “Babil padşahı sizə və bu ölkəyə hücum etməyəcək” deyə sizin üçün peyğəmbərlik edən peyğəmbərləriniz indi haradadır?
Where are now your prophets who prophesied to you, saying, The king of Babylon shall not come against you, nor against this land?
20 Ey ağam padşah, indi xahiş edirəm, qulaq as. Xahiş edirəm, bu yalvarışımı qəbul et və məni mirzə Yonatanın evinə qaytarma, qoy orada ölməyim».
Therefore hear now, I pray thee, O my lord the king: let my supplication, I pray thee, be accepted before thee; that thou cause me not to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there.
21 Padşah Sidqiya əmr etdi və Yeremyanı keşikçilər həyətində saxladılar. Şəhərdə çörək ehtiyatı qurtarana qədər hər gün ona çörək bişirənlər küçəsindən gətirib bir parça çörək verirdilər. Beləcə Yeremya mühafizəçilər həyətində qaldı.
Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the baker’s street, until all the bread in the city should be consumed. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
