1 Məsih azad olmağımız üçün bizi azad etdi. Ona görə də möhkəm durun və yenidən köləlik boyunduruğuna tabe olmayın.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

2 Budur, mən Paul sizə deyirəm: əgər siz sünnət olunsanız, Məsih sizə heç bir fayda verməz.

Behold, I Paul say to you, that if you be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

3 Sünnət olunan hər adama yenə şəhadət edirəm ki, elə bir adam bütün Qanuna əməl etməyə borcludur.

For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

4 Ey Qanun vasitəsilə saleh sayılmaq istəyənlər, siz Məsihdən ayrıldınız, Allahın lütfündən uzaq düşdünüz.

Christ is become of no effect to you, whoever of you are justified by the law; you are fallen from grace.

5 Amma biz Ruh vasitəsilə imanla saleh sayılacağımıza ümid bağlayıb onu həvəslə gözləyirik.

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

6 Məsih İsada sünnətlilik də, sünnətsizlik də əhəmiyyət kəsb etmir, əhəmiyyət kəsb edən isə məhəbbətlə fəal olan imandır.

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.

7 Yaxşı irəliləyirdiniz. Axı həqiqətə itaət etmə yolunuzu kim kəsdi?

You did run well; who did hinder you that you should not obey the truth?

8 Belə inandırılmağınız sizi Çağıranın istəyi deyil.

This persuasion comes not of him that calls you.

9 Azacıq maya bütün xəmiri acıdır.

A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

10 Mən Rəbdə sizə etimad edirəm ki, başqa cür düşünməyəsiniz. Sizi lərzəyə salansa, kim olursa olsun, öz cəzasını çəkəcək.

I have confidence in you through the Lord, that you will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he be.

11 Amma, qardaşlar, əgər mən hələ də sünnəti vəz edirəmsə, nə üçün hələ də təqibə məruz qalıram? Elə olsaydı, onlara büdrəmə daşı olan çarmıx ləğv olunardı.

And I, brothers, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offense of the cross ceased.

12 Ah, kaş sizi çaşdıranlar özlərini axtalayaydılar!

13 Qardaşlar, siz azadlığa dəvət olunmusunuz. Amma bu azadlığı cismani təbiət üçün fürsətə çevirməyin, lakin bir-birinizə məhəbbətlə qulluq edin.

For, brothers, you have been called to liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

14 Bütün Qanun tək bir sözdə tamamlanır: «Qonşunu özün kimi sev».

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

15 Əgər siz bir-birinizi didib-yeyirsinizsə, ehtiyatlı olun ki, bir-birinizi tələf etməyəsiniz.

But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you be not consumed one of another.

16 Mən bunu deyirəm: Müqəddəs Ruha görə həyat sürün, o zaman siz cismani təbiətin ehtirasını əsla icra etməzsiniz.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

17 Çünki cismani təbiət Ruha zidd və Ruh cismani təbiətə zidd olanı arzulayır. Onlar bir-birinə qarşı durur ki, siz istədiyinizi etməyəsiniz.

For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that you cannot do the things that you would.

But if you be led of the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 Cismani təbiətin əməlləri isə bəllidir. Bunlar cinsi əxlaqsızlıq, murdarlıq, pozğunluq,

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 bütpərəstlik, sehrbazlıq, düşmənçilik, münaqişə, qısqanclıq, hiddət, özünü göstərmə, nifaq, təfriqələr,

Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, jealousies, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 paxıllıq, sərxoşluq, eyş-işrət və buna bənzər şeylərdir. Sizə əvvəllər xəbərdarlıq etdiyim kimi indi də xəbərdarlıq edirəm ki, bunları edənlər Allahın Padşahlığını irs almayacaqlar.

Contentions, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 Müqəddəs Ruhun səmərəsi isə budur: məhəbbət, sevinc, sülh, səbir, xeyirxahlıq, yaxşılıq, sədaqət,

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 həlimlik, nəfsə hakim olmaq. Bu kimi şeylərə qarşı qanun yoxdur.

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 Məsih İsaya məxsus olanlar isə öz həvəs və ehtirasları ilə birlikdə cismani təbiəti çarmıxa çəkdilər.

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 Madam ki, biz Ruha görə yaşayırıq, Ruha görə də rəftar edək.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Şöhrətpərəst olmayaq, bir-birimizi hirsləndirməyək, bir-birimizə paxıllıq etməyək.

Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
