1 Həmin gecə padşahın yuxusu qaçdı. O əmr etdi ki, hökmranlığının xatirə kitabı – salnamələr kitabı gətirilsin. Bunlar padşahın hüzurunda oxundu.

5 Padşahın nökərləri ona dedi: «Budur, Haman həyətdə dayanıb». Padşah dedi: «Gəlsin içəri».

6 Haman içəri gələndə padşah ona dedi: «Padşahın şərəfləndirmək istədiyi adama nə edilməlidir?» Haman da özlüyündə düşündü: «Məndən başqa kimi şərəfləndirmək istər ki?»
and to come (in): come Haman and to say to/for him [the] king what? to/for to make: do in/on/with man which [the] king to delight in in/on/with preciousness his and to say Haman in/on/with heart his to/for who? to delight in [the] king to/for to make: do preciousness advantage from me
7 Bu halda Haman padşaha belə dedi: «Padşah kimi şərəfləndirmək istəyirsə, qoy belə edilsin:

8 padşahın geyindiyi şahlıq libası, padşahın mindiyi və başına şahlıq kəkili qoyulan at gətirilsin.

9 Həmin paltar və at padşahın ən yüksək rütbəli rəislərindən birinin əlinə verilsin ki, padşahın şərəfləndirmək istədiyi adamı geyindirərək ata mindirsinlər və şəhər meydanında gəzdirsinlər və qabağa düşüb belə car çəksinlər: “Padşah istədiyi adamı bu cür şərəfləndirir”».

10 Padşah Hamana dedi: «Paltar və atı tez götürüb saray darvazasında vəzifəsi olan Yəhudi Mordokaya dediklərinin heç birini əskiltmədən et».

12 Bundan sonra Mordokay saray darvazasına qayıtdı. Haman isə dərdli və başıörtülü halda tez evə qayıtdı.
