1 Beləliklə, Məsihlə birlikdə dirildiyinizə görə ucalardakı şeyləri axtarın. Orada Məsih Allahın sağında oturub.
If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.
2 Dünyəvi şeyləri deyil, ucalardakı şeyləri düşünün.
Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.
3 Çünki siz ölmüsünüz və həyatınız Məsihlə birlikdə Allahda saxlanılıb.
For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 Həyatınız olan Məsih zühur edəndə siz də Onunla birgə izzətlə zühur edəcəksiniz.
When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.
5 Buna görə cisminizin dünyəvi meylləri olan cinsi əxlaqsızlığı, murdarlığı, şəhvəti, pis ehtirası və bütpərəstliyə tay olan tamahkarlığı öldürün.
Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
6 Bunlara görə Allahın qəzəbi itaətsizlərin üzərinə gəlir.
For these things’ sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
7 Əvvəllər siz bunların içində yaşayanda belə həyat sürdünüz.
You also once walked in those, when you lived in them,
8 İndi isə siz də qəzəbi, hiddəti, kini, böhtanı, ağzınızdan çıxan ədəbsiz sözlər kimi şeylərin hamısını kənara atın.
but now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.
9 Bir-birinizə yalan deməyin, çünki köhnə mənliyinizi və onun əməllərini üzərinizdən çıxarıb
Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,
10 yeni mənliyə büründünüz. Yeni mənliyiniz onu Yaradanın surətinə bənzər şəkildə təzələnir ki, biliyiniz tam olsun.
and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator,
11 Bu təzələnmədə Yunanla Yəhudi, sünnətli ilə sünnətsiz, barbar, Skif, qulla azad arasında fərq yoxdur: Məsih hər şeydir və hamımızdadır.
where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondservant, or free person; but Christ is all, and in all.
12 Beləliklə, Allahın seçilmişləri, müqəddəsləri və sevimliləri kimi ürək mərhəməti, xeyirxahlıq, itaətkarlıq, həlimlik və səbirə bürünün.
Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance;
13 Bir-birinizə dözün və birinizin digərindən şikayəti varsa, bağışlayın. Rəbb sizi bağışladığı kimi siz də bağışlayın.
bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.
14 Bütün bunlardan əlavə, kamil birliyin bağı olan məhəbbətə bürünün.
Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.
15 Məsihin sülhü qoy ürəklərinizdə münsiflik etsin, çünki bir bədənin üzvləri kimi bu sülhə dəvət olundunuz. Həmçinin şükür edənlər olun!
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.
16 Qoy aranızda Məsihin kəlamı bütün zənginliyi ilə yaşasın. Bir-birinizə tam müdrikliklə təlim və nəsihət verin, məzmurlar, ilahilər və ruhani nəğmələr söyləyib ürəklərinizdə Allaha minnətdar ola-ola nəğmə oxuyun.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.
17 Dediyiniz və etdiyiniz hər şeyi Rəbb İsanın adı ilə edin, Onun vasitəsilə Ata Allaha şükür edin.
Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
18 Ey qadınlar, Rəbdə olanlara layiq olduğu kimi ərlərinizə tabe olun.
Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19 Ey ərlər, öz arvadlarınızı sevin və onlarla sərt davranmayın.
Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter against them.
20 Ey övladlar, hər işdə ata-ananıza itaət edin, çünki bu, Rəbbi razı salır.
Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord.
21 Ey atalar, övladlarınızı incitməyin, yoxsa cəsarətləri qırılar.
Fathers, do not provoke your children, so that they will not be discouraged.
22 Ey qullar, hər işdə dünyəvi ağalarınıza itaət edin. Bunu insanları razı salmaq üçün gözə xoş görünən xidmətlə deyil, səmimi qəlbdən, Allahdan qorxaraq edin.
Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as men pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God.
23 Gördüyünüz hər işi insanlar üçün deyil, Rəbb üçün edən kimi can-dildən edin.
And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
24 Bilin ki, Rəbdən bunun əvəzinə irs alacaqsınız, çünki siz Rəbb Məsihə qulluq edirsiniz.
knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
25 Kim haqsızlıq edərsə, işlətdiyi haqsızlığın əvəzini alacaq, çünki Rəbb tərəfkeşlik etməz.
But he who does wrong will receive again for the wrong that he has done, and there is no partiality.
