1 Konyada Paulla Barnaba Yəhudilərin sinaqoquna birlikdə daxil olub elə danışdılar ki, həm Yəhudilərdən, həm də Yunanlardan ibarət böyük kütləni imana gətirdilər.
And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
2 Amma inanmayan Yəhudilər başqa millətlərdən olanları qızışdıraraq onları imanlıların əleyhinə qaldırdılar.
But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brothers.
3 Xeyli vaxt orada qalan Paulla Barnaba cəsarətlə Rəbb haqqında danışırdı. Rəbb isə onlara əlamət və xariqə göstərmək gücünü verməklə Öz lütfü barədə kəlamı təsdiqlədi.
Long time therefore stayed they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony to the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
4 Amma şəhər əhalisi iki hissəyə bölündü. Bəziləri Yəhudilərin, bəziləri isə həvarilərin tərəfini saxladı.
But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.
5 Yəhudilərlə başqa millətlərdən olanlar və onların rəhbərləri həvariləri təhqir edərək daşqalaq etmək üçün bir sui-qəsd hazırladı.
And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them spitefully, and to stone them,
6 Bundan xəbər tutan bu həvarilər Likaoniyanın Listra ilə Derbe şəhərlərinə və oranın ətraf yerlərinə qaçdılar.
They were ware of it, and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the region that lies round about:
7 Orada da Müjdəni yaydılar.
And there they preached the gospel.
8 Listrada ayaqlarından şikəst olan bir kişi var idi. Bu adam anadangəlmə əlil idi, heç vaxt yeriməmişdi.
And there sat a certain man at Lystra, weak in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:
9 O, Paulun dediklərinə qulaq asırdı. Ona göz qoyan Paul gördü ki, sağalacağına imanı var.
The same heard Paul speak: who steadfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
10 Ona görə bərkdən dedi: «Qalx, ayaq üstə dur!» Bu adam yerindən atılıb yeriməyə başladı.
Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on your feet. And he leaped and walked.
11 Camaat Paulun etdiyini görəndə haray salıb Likaoniya dilində dedi: «Tanrılar insan şəklində yanımıza gəlib!»
And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.
12 Barnabaya Zevs, Paula isə aparıcı natiq olduğuna görə Hermes dedilər.
And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
13 Şəhərin qarşısında yerləşən Zevs məbədinin kahini şəhər darvazalarına buğalar və çələnglər gətirdi. O, camaatla birgə qurban kəsmək istədi.
Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
14 Amma həvarilər – Barnaba ilə Paul bunu eşidən kimi paltarlarını cırdılar və izdihamın içinə girib haray çəkdilər:
Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
15 «Ay ağalar, niyə belə edirsiniz? Biz də sizin kimi insanıq, eyni varlığıq. Sizə Müjdə gətirmişik. Əl çəkin bu boş şeylərdən. Yeri, göyü, dənizi və bunların içindəki hər şeyi yaradan, var olan Allaha tərəf dönün.
And saying, Sirs, why do you these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach to you that you should turn from these vanities to the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
16 O, əvvəlki nəsillərin dövründə yaşayan bütün millətlərə öz yolları ilə getməyə izin verdi.
Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
17 Lakin yenə də Özünü şahidsiz qoymadı. Sizə yaxşılıq edərək göydən yağışlar yağdırır, cürbəcür məhsullar yetişdirən fəsillər bəxş edir, sizi yeməklə doydurur və ürəyinizi sevincə qərq edir».
Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
18 Bu sözlərlə camaatın onlara qurban kəsməsinin qarşısını bir çətinliklə aldılar.
And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice to them.
19 Antakya və Konyadan bəzi Yəhudilər gəlib xalqı öz tərəfinə çəkərək Paulu daşqalaq etdilər. Elə bildilər ki, Paul ölüb, onu şəhərdən kənara sürüdülər.
And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
20 Şagirdlər ətrafına yığılanda isə Paul ayağa qalxıb şəhərə qayıtdı. Ertəsi gün isə Barnaba ilə birlikdə Derbeyə getdi.
However, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
21 O şəhərdə də Müjdə yayıb xeyli şagird hazırladılar. Paulla Barnaba daha sonra Listraya, Konyaya və Pisidiyada olan Antakyaya qayıtdı.
And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
22 Şagirdləri ruhən möhkəmləndirdilər və imanda dönməz olsunlar deyə onları həvəsləndirərək dedilər: «Allahın Padşahlığına çox əziyyətlərdən keçərək girməliyik».
Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
23 İmanlılar üçün hər cəmiyyətdə ağsaqqallar seçərək dua və orucla onları inandıqları Rəbbə əmanət etdilər.
And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
24 Pisidiya bölgəsindən keçərək Pamfiliyaya gəldilər.
And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.
25 Pergedə kəlamı yayandan sonra Antalyaya getdilər.
And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:
26 Oradan gəmi ilə Suriyadakı Antakyaya qayıtdılar. Onların indi yerinə yetirdikləri xidmət üçün burada Allahın lütfünə əmanət edilmişdilər.
And there sailed to Antioch, from where they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.
27 Oraya çatanda cəmiyyəti bir yerə yığıb Allahın onlar vasitəsilə nə etdiyini, başqa millətlərə iman qapısını necə açdığını söylədilər
And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.
28 və şagirdlərin yanında uzun müddət qaldılar.
And there they stayed long time with the disciples.
