1 Bir müddət keçəndən sonra Avşalom özü üçün bir döyüş arabası ilə atlar və onun qabağında qaçmaq üçün əlli adam hazırladı.
And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him a chariot and horses, and fifty men to run before him.

And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man had a suit which should come to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
3 Avşalom ona belə deyərdi: «Bax sənin işin yaxşı və düzgündür, lakin padşah tərəfindən heç kim sənə qulaq asmayacaq».
And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.
4 Avşalom deyərdi: «Kaş bu ölkəyə məni hakim qoyaydılar. O zaman mənim yanıma davası və yaxud da iddiası olub gələn hər adamın işinə ədalətlə baxardım».
Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!
5 Bir nəfər ona təzim etmək üçün yaxınlaşanda o əl uzadıb onu qucaqlayar və öpərdi.
And it was so, that when any man came nigh to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took hold of him, and kissed him.
6 Avşalom hökm üçün padşahın yanına gələn bütün İsraillilərlə belə rəftar edərdi. İsraillilərin könlünü bu surətdə ələ alardı.
And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
7 Dörd il keçəndən sonra Avşalom padşaha dedi: «Rica edirəm, izin ver, gedib Xevronda Rəbbə əhd etdiyim qurbanı təqdim edim.
And it came to pass at the end of forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron.
8 Çünki qulun Aram torpağının Geşur şəhərində qalanda belə əhd etmişdi: “Əgər Rəbb məni Yerusəlimə geri qaytarsa, Ona qulluq edəcəyəm”».
For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall indeed bring me again to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.
9 Padşah ona «salamat get» dedi. Avşalom qalxıb Xevrona getdi.
And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.
10 Avşalom İsrail qəbilələrinin hamısına gizli qasidlər göndərərək onlara tapşırdı: «Şeypur səsini eşidəndə “Avşalom Xevronda padşah oldu” deyin».
But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom is king in Hebron.
11 Yerusəlimdən çağırdığı iki yüz nəfər də Avşalomla getdi. Onlar pak niyyətlə onun arxasınca gedirdi və heç bir şeydən xəbərləri yox idi.
And with Absalom went two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that were invited, and went in their simplicity; and they knew not any thing.
12 Avşalom qurbanları təqdim edərkən Davudun müşaviri Gilolu Axitofeli öz şəhərindən – Gilodan öz yanına gətirtdi. Fitnəkar dəstə qüvvətli idi, çünki Avşalomun yanında olan xalq get-gedə çoxalırdı.
And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered the sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
13 Bir adam gəlib Davuda xəbər verərək dedi: «İsraillilər Avşaloma rəğbət bəsləyir».
And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.
14 Davud Yerusəlimdə – yanında olan bütün əyanlarına dedi: «Durun qaçaq, yoxsa Avşalomun qarşısından heç kim qaçıb qurtula bilməz. Cəld olun, gedək, yoxsa o tez gəlib bizə çatar, başımıza bəla açar və şəhəri qılıncdan keçirər».
And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for else none of us shall escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us quickly, and bring down evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.
15 Padşahın əyanları dedilər: «Ağam padşahın istədiyi kimi olsun, bax biz sənin qullarınıq».
And the king’s servants said unto the king, Behold thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall choose.
16 Padşah və onun ardınca bütün külfəti çıxdı. Lakin padşah cariyələrindən on qadını evə nəzarət etmək üçün qoydu.
And the king went forth, and all his household after him, And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house.
17 Padşah və ardınca bütün xalq çıxıb şəhərin sonuncu evində dayandı.
And the king went forth, and all the people after him; and they tarried in Beth-merhak.
18 Bütün əyanları onun qarşısından keçdilər və bütün Keretlilər, Peletlilər və Qatdan onun ardınca gəlmiş altı yüz nəfər Qatlı da padşahın qarşısından keçdi.
And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men which came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.
19 Padşah Qatlı Yettaya dedi: «Sən niyə bizimlə gedirsən? Qayıt təzə padşahla qal. Sən ki yadellisən və öz yurdundan sürgünə aparılmış adamsan, qayıt öz yerinə.
Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore goest thou also with us? return, and abide with the king: for thou art a stranger, and also an exile; [return] to thine own place.
20 Sən bura hələ dünən gəlmisən. Bu gün səni özümüzlə getməyəmi məcbur edim? Mən hara gedə bilsəm, ora gedəcəyəm. Sən isə qayıt, öz soydaşlarını da geri qaytar. Xeyirxahlıq və sədaqət sənə yar olsun!»
Whereas thou camest but yesterday, should I this day make thee go up and down with us, seeing I go whither I may? return thou, and take back thy brethren; mercy and truth be with thee.
21 Yettay padşaha cavab verdi: «Var olan Rəbbə və ağam padşahımın canına and olsun, padşahım harada olsa, mütləq bu qulun ölsə də, qalsa da, orada olacaq».
And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD liveth, and as my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether for death or for life, even there also will thy servant be.
22 Davud Yettaya dedi: «Onda gəl, keç». Qatlı Yettay ilə bütün adamları və yanında olan bütün uşaqlar gəlib onların tərəfinə keçdi.
And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over and all his men, and all the little ones that were with him.
23 Camaat keçərkən bütün bölgə əhalisi bərkdən ağlayırdı. Padşah da Qidron vadisini keçdi və bütün camaat çölə tərəf irəlilədi.
And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.
24 Sonra Sadoq Allahın Əhd sandığını daşıyan bütün Levililərlə bərabər gəldi. Allahın sandığını yerə qoydular. Bütün xalq şəhərdən tamamilə çıxandan sonra Evyatar da çıxdı.
And, lo, Zadok also [came], and all the Levites with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God; and they set down the ark of God, and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.
25 Padşah Sadoqa yenə dedi: «Allahın sandığını şəhərə qaytar. Əgər mən Rəbbin gözündə lütf tapsam, O məni geri qaytarıb Öz sandığını və məskənini yenə mənə göstərər.
And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation:
26 Lakin “səndən razı deyiləm” desə, budur, qoy gözündə nə yaxşı görünsə, mənim üçün elə etsin. Mən hazıram».
but if he say thus, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him.
27 Padşah kahin Sadoqa dedi: «Sən görücü deyilsənmi? Sən oğlun Aximaas və Evyatarın oğlu Yonatanla bərabər salamat şəhərə qayıt. Sən və Evyatar iki oğlunuzu da özünüzlə aparın.
The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art thou [not] a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.
28 Baxın sizdən mənə hal-əhval bildirən söz çatana qədər mən çöldə – çayın dayaz yerində gözləyəcəyəm».
See, I will tarry at the fords of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me.
29 Sadoqla Evyatar Allahın sandığını Yerusəlimə geri qaytardı və orada qaldı.
Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they abode there.
30 Davud Zeytun dağının yoxuşu ilə çıxır və çıxarkən ağlayırdı. Başıörtülü, ayaqyalın gedirdi. Onunla bərabər gedən bütün xalq da başıörtülü dağı çıxır və gedə-gedə ağlayırdı.
And David went up by the ascent of the [mount of] Olives, and wept as he went up; and he had his head covered, and went barefoot: and all the people that were with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.
31 Kimsə «Axitofel Avşalomun yanında – qiyamçılar arasındadır» deyə Davuda xəbər verdi. Davud dedi: «Ya Rəbb, Səndən diləyirəm, Axitofelin məsləhətlərini boşa çıxar».
And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.
32 Davud xalqın Allaha səcdə etdiyi təpənin başına çatanda, budur, Arklı Xuşay paltarı cırılmış və başı toz-torpaq içində onu qarşılamağa gəldi.
And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top [of the ascent], where God was worshipped, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:
33 Davud ona dedi: «Əgər sən də mənimlə bərabər getsən, mənə yük olarsan.
And David said unto him, If thou passest on with me, then thou shalt be a burden unto me:
34 Lakin əgər şəhərə qayıdıb Avşaloma “ey padşah, mən də sənin qulun olacağam. Keçmişdə necə atana qul oldumsa, sənə də indi elə qul olacağam” desən, o zaman mənim xeyrimə Axitofelin məsləhətini poza bilərsən.
but if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father’s servant in time past, so will I now be thy servant: then shalt thou defeat for me the counsel of Ahithophel.
35 Kahin Sadoq və kahin Evyatar orada səninlə deyilmi? Padşah sarayından eşidəcəyin hər şeyi kahinlərə – Sadoq və Evyatara bildirəcəksən.
And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that what thing soever thou shalt hear out of the king’s house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
36 Budur, iki oğlu – Sadoqun oğlu Aximaas, Evyatarın oğlu Yonatan onların yanındadır və eşidəcəyiniz hər şeyi onların əli ilə mənə çatdıracaqsınız».
Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok’s son, and Jonathan Abiathar’s son; and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye shall hear.
37 Avşalom Yerusəlimə girərkən Davudun dostu Xuşay da şəhərə girdi.
So Hushai David’s friend came into the city; and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
