1 Rəbb Natanı Davudun yanına göndərdi. Natan onun yanına gəlib belə nəql etdi: «Bir şəhərdə iki adam var idi. Onlardan biri varlı, o biri isə kasıb idi.

2 Varlı adamın çoxlu sürüləri və naxırı var idi.

3 Lakin kasıb adamın satın alıb bəslədiyi bir körpə dişi quzudan başqa heç nəyi yox idi. O, quzusunu öz yanında uşaqları ilə bərabər böyütmüş, ona öz yeməyindən yedirtmiş, öz içdiyi qabdan su içirtmiş və qoynunda yatırtmışdı. Quzu ona doğma qızı kimi idi.
and to/for be poor nothing all that if: except if: except ewe-lamb one small which to buy and to live her and to magnify with him and with son: child his together from morsel his to eat and from cup his to drink and in/on/with bosom: embrace his to lie down: lay down and to be to/for him like/as daughter

5 O adama qarşı Davudun qəzəbi alovlandı və Natana dedi: «Var olan Rəbb haqqı, bunu edən adam ölümə layiqdir.

6 Bu işi gördüyünə və rəhmsizliyinə görə o, quzunun əvəzini dördqat verəcək».

7 Natan Davuda dedi: «O adam sənsən! İsrailin Allahı Rəbb belə deyir: “Mən səni İsrailin üzərində padşah olaraq məsh etdim və səni Şaulun əlindən qurtardım.

8 Sənə ağanın evini verdim. Ağanın arvadlarını qoynunda yatırıb İsraillə Yəhuda nəslini sənə verdim. Əgər bu sənə azlıq edirdisə, Mən sənə daha nələri, nələri əlavə edərdim.

12 Bu işi sən gizli etdinsə, Mən bu işi bütün İsraillilərin qarşısında gündüzün günorta çağı etdirəcəyəm”».

13 Davud Natana dedi: «Mən Rəbbə qarşı günah etdim». Natan Davuda dedi: «Rəbb sənin günahını sildi, ölməyəcəksən.
and to say David to(wards) Nathan to sin to/for LORD and to say Nathan to(wards) David also LORD to pass: bring sin your not to die
14 Lakin bunu etməklə Rəbbin düşmənlərinə böyük fürsət verdin ki, Ona küfr etsinlər. Ona görə də mütləq səndən doğulan uşaq öləcək».

15 Sonra Natan evinə qayıtdı. Rəbb Davudun Uriyanın dul arvadından olan uşağını vurdu və uşaq xəstələndi.

16 Davud uşaq üçün Allaha yalvardı və oruc tutaraq otağına girib bütün gecəni quru yerdə uzandı.

22 Davud cavab verdi: «Uşaq sağ olanda oruc tutub ağlayırdım və deyirdim ki, kim bilir, bəlkə Rəbb mənə lütf edər, uşaq sağ qalar.
and to say in/on/with still [the] youth alive to fast and to weep for to say who? to know (and be gracious me *Q(K)*) LORD and to live [the] youth
23 Lakin indi uşaq ölüb, nə üçün oruc tutum? Məgər onu geri qaytara bilərəmmi? Mən onun yanına gedəcəyəm, o mənim yanıma qayıtmayacaq».

25 O, Natan peyğəmbəri göndərdi və o da Rəbbin naminə uşağın adını Yedidyah qoydu.

26 Yoav Ammon övladlarının Rabba şəhərinə hücum edib padşah qalasını aldı.

28 İndi isə sən xalqın qalan hissəsini topla və şəhərə qarşı ordugah qurub oranı al ki, mən gedib oranı almayım və o yer adımla çağırılmasın».
and now to gather [obj] remainder [the] people and to camp upon [the] city and to capture her lest to capture I [obj] [the] city and to call: call by name my upon her
29 Davud da bütün xalqı toplayıb Rabbaya getdi və şəhərə hücum edib oranı aldı.
and to gather David [obj] all [the] people and to go: went Rabbah [to] and to fight in/on/with her and to capture her
30 Davud onların padşahının başından tacını götürdü. Tac qızıldan olub çəkisi bir talant idi. Onun üzərində qiymətli daş var idi. Bu tac Davudun başına qoyuldu. Davud bu şəhərdən çoxlu qənimət apardı.

31 O, şəhərdə olan xalqı köçürüb mişar, dəmir külüng, dəmir balta ilə görülən işlərdə və kərpic emalında işlətdi. Davud Ammonluların bütün şəhərlərində belə edəndən sonra bütün xalqla birgə Yerusəlimə qayıtdı.
