1 Allahın iradəsi ilə Məsih İsanın həvarisi mən Paul və Timotey qardaşdan Allahın Korinfdə olan cəmiyyətinə və bütün Axayyadakı müqəddəslərə salam!
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:
2 Atamız Allahdan və Rəbb İsa Məsihdən sizə lütf və sülh olsun!
Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Rəbbimiz İsa Məsihin Allahına – Atasına alqış olsun! O, rəhmli Ata və hər cür təsəlli verən Allahdır.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Çəkdiyimiz hər bir əziyyətdə O bizə təsəlli verir ki, biz də Allahdan aldığımız təsəlli ilə hər cür əziyyət çəkənlərə təsəlli verə bilək.
Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted of God.
5 Çünki Məsihin əzablarını necə böyük həcmdə çəkiriksə, Məsih vasitəsilə o cür böyük təsəlli də tapırıq.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds by Christ.
6 Əziyyət çəkiriksə, bu sizə təsəlli və xilas gətirir. Təsəlli tapırıqsa, bu da bizim kimi çəkdiyiniz əzablara dözəsiniz deyə sizə güc verən bir təsəlli almanız üçündür.
And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
7 Sizinlə bağlı ümidimiz sarsılmaz. Çünki əzablarımıza şərik olduğunuz kimi təsəllimizə də şərik olduğunuzu bilirik.
And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing, that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so shall you be also of the consolation.
8 Ey qardaşlar, Asiya vilayətində çəkdiyimiz əziyyətlərdən bixəbər olmağınızı istəmirəm. Gücümüzdən daha artıq bir yük altında qaldıq. Hətta yaşamaqdan belə, ümidimizi kəsmişdik.
For we would not, brothers, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life:
9 Daxilən hiss etdik ki, ölümə məhkum olmuşuq. Amma bu özümüzə deyil, ölüləri dirildən Allaha güvənməyimiz üçün başımıza gəldi.
But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raises the dead:
10 Allah bizi belə bir böyük ölüm təhlükəsindən qurtardı və qurtarmaqda davam edəcək. Ümidimizi Ona bağlamışıq
Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
11 və siz də dualarınızla bizə kömək etdikcə bizi yenə qurtaracaq. Belə ki bir çox insanın etdiyi dua nəticəsində bizə verdiyi ənamdan ötrü qoy çoxları bizim üçün Allaha şükür etsin.
You also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed on us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
12 Vicdanımız da şahiddir ki, dünyaya, xüsusən sizə görə bəşəri müdrikliklə deyil, Allahın lütfü ilə, Allahdan gələn səxavət və səmimiyyətlə həyat sürmüşük. Biz buna görə fəxr edirik.
For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
13 Biz elə bir şey yazmırıq ki, siz oxuyub başa düşə bilməyəsiniz. Hələlik bizi bir az başa düşmüsünüz. Rəbbimiz İsa Məsihin günündə bizim fəxrimiz siz olduğunuz kimi sizin də fəxriniz biz olacağıq. Ümidvaram ki, bunu tamam başa düşəcəksiniz.
For we write none other things to you, than what you read or acknowledge; and I trust you shall acknowledge even to the end;
As also you have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as you also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.
15 Buna əmin olub əvvəlcə yanınıza gəlmək niyyətində idim ki, ikiqat xeyir tapasınız.
And in this confidence I was minded to come to you before, that you might have a second benefit;
16 Həm Makedoniyaya gedəndə, həm də Makedoniyadan qayıdanda yanınıza gəlmək niyyətində oldum. Bundan sonra siz məni Yəhudeyaya yola salmalı idiniz.
And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia to you, and of you to be brought on my way toward Judaea.
17 Bu niyyətdə olanda görəsən qərarsız idimmi? Ya da niyyətlərim cismani təbiətimdən doğur ki, gah «bəli, bəli», gah da «xeyr, xeyr» deyim?
When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yes yes, and no no?
18 Allahın sədaqətinə and olsun ki, sizə çatdırdığımız xəbər gah «bəli», gah da «xeyr» deyil.
But as God is true, our word toward you was not yes and no.
19 Sila və Timoteylə birlikdə sizə vəz etdiyimiz Allahın Oğlu İsa Məsih həm «bəli», həm də «xeyr» deyil. Onda yalnız «bəli» var.
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yes and no, but in him was yes.
20 Çünki Allahın bütün vədləri İsa Məsihdə «bəli»dir. Buna görə Allahın izzəti üçün Məsih vasitəsilə «Amin» deyirik.
For all the promises of God in him are yes, and in him Amen, to the glory of God by us.
21 Bizi sizlərlə birlikdə Məsihə möhkəm bağlayan və bizi məsh edən Allahdır.
Now he which establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, is God;
22 O bizi möhürlədi və Ruhunu qəlbimizdə girov qoydu.
Who has also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
23 Allah şahidimdir, canıma and olsun ki, indiyədək sizə qıymadığım üçün Korinfə gəlmədim.
Moreover I call God for a record on my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet to Corinth.
24 İmanınıza ağalıq etmək istəmirik, sevinməniz üçün sizinlə birgə çalışırıq. Çünki imanda dönməz dayanmısınız.
Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith you stand.
