1 Biz Həyat Kəlamını elan edirik; bu həmin Kəlamdır ki, başlanğıcdan var idi və biz Onu eşitdik, gözlərimizlə gördük, seyr etdik və əllərimizlə hiss etdik.
We declare to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the word of life.
2 Həyat zahir oldu, biz də onu görüb şahidlik edirik və Ata ilə birlikdə olub bizə zahir olan əbədi həyatı sizə elan edirik. (aiōnios g166)
This life was revealed; we have seen it, and we testify and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and that was revealed to us. (aiōnios g166)
3 Biz sizə gördüyümüzü və eşitdiyimizi elan edirik ki, sizin də bizimlə şərikliyiniz olsun; bizim şərikliyimiz də Ata və Onun Oğlu İsa Məsihlədir.
What we have seen and heard we declare to you, so that you also may have fellowship with us, and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 Biz bunları yazırıq ki, sevincimiz kamil olsun.
We are writing these things to you so that our joy may be full.
5 Məsihdən eşitdiyimiz və sizə elan etdiyimiz xəbər budur: Allah nurdur və Onda zərrə qədər də qaranlıq yoxdur.
This is the message that we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all.
6 Əgər biz «Allahla şərikliyimiz var» dediyimiz halda qaranlıqda gəziriksə, demək, yalan danışırıq və həqiqətə əməl etmirik.
If we say that we have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.
7 Amma O, nurda olduğu kimi biz də nurda gəziriksə, onda bir-birimizlə şərikliyimiz var və Onun Oğlu İsanın qanı bizi hər günahdan təmizləyir.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 Əgər günahsız olduğumuzu iddia ediriksə, özümüzü aldadırıq və daxilimizdə həqiqət yoxdur.
If we say that we do not have sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 Amma günahlarımızı etiraf ediriksə, Allah sadiq və ədalətli olduğu üçün günahlarımızı bağışlayacaq və bizi hər haqsızlıqdan təmizləyəcək.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 Əgər günahkar olmadığımızı iddia ediriksə, onda Onu yalançı yerinə qoyuruq və daxilimizdə Onun sözü olmur.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
