1 ১ অৱশ্যেই ঈশ্বৰ ইস্ৰায়েললৈ মঙ্গলজনক; তেওঁ শুদ্ধ চিত্তৰ লোকসকললৈ শুভ কৰোঁতা।

BOOK THIRD: “A Psalm of Assaph.” Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure of heart.

2 ২ কিন্তু মোৰ ভৰি হ’লে প্ৰায় পিছল খাইছিল; মোৰ খোজ প্ৰায় পিছলি গৈছিল।

But as for me, it lacked but little that my feet had been moved: almost nothing was needed that my steps had slipped.

3 ৩ তেতিয়া অহংকাৰী লোকলৈ মোৰ অসূয়া জন্মিছিল; মই দুষ্টবোৰক বৰ সুখত থকা দেখিছিলোঁ।

For I was envious at the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

4 ৪ কাৰণ তেওঁলোকে মৃত্যুৰ যন্ত্ৰণা নাপায়; কিন্তু তেওঁলোক সুস্থ সবল হৈ থাকে।

For there are no deadly fetters for them, but their strength is firm.

5 ৫ তেওঁলোকে আন মানুহে দুখ পোৱাৰ দৰে দুখ নাপায়; অন্যলোকৰ বিপদৰ নিচিনাকৈ তেওঁলোক বিপদতো নপৰে।

They share not in the trouble of mortals, and with men are they not afflicted.

6 ৬ এই কাৰণে অহংকাৰ তেওঁলোকৰ দিঙিৰ হাৰ স্বৰূপ; অত্যাচাৰ তেওঁলোকৰ কাৰণে শৰীৰ আবৰণ স্বৰূপ হৈছে।

Therefore is pride their neck-chain: violence envelopeth them as a garment.

7 ৭ তেওঁলোকৰ মনৰ অন্ধকাৰ পাপ হৈ বাহিৰ হয়; তেওঁলোকৰ মন্দ চিন্তা শেষ পর্যন্ত তেওঁলোকৰ অন্তৰৰ ভিতৰত থাকে।

Their eyes start out from fatness: they have exceeded their heart's imaginings.

8 ৮ তেওঁলোকে মহা বিদ্ৰূপেৰে দুষ্টতাৰ কথা কয়; তেওঁলোকে অহংকাৰ কৰি ভয় দেখুৱাই আক্রমণ কৰে।

They scorn, and speak wickedly of oppression: loftily do they speak.

9 ৯ তেওঁলোকে স্বর্গৰ বিৰুদ্ধে কথা কয়; তেওঁলোকৰ জিভাই পৃথিৱী ভ্ৰমণ কৰে।

They set their mouth in the heavens, and their tongue walketh busily on the earth.

10 ১০ এই কাৰণে ঈশ্বৰৰ সন্তান সকল তেওঁলোকৰ ফালে ঘূৰি যায়; গভীৰ ভাবে তেওঁলোকৰ বাক্যবোৰ পান কৰে।

Therefore do his people turn away hither: and waters of a full cup are drained by them.

11 ১১ তেওঁলোকে কয়, “ঈশ্বৰে কেনেকৈ জানিব? কিহবলৈ গৈ আছে তাক জানো সৰ্ব্বোপৰি জনাই জানিব?”

And they say, How should God know? and is there knowledge in the Most High?

12 ১২ চোৱা, তেওঁলোক দুষ্ট; তেওঁলোকৰ মনৰ ভাব সদায় নিশ্চিন্ত, অধিক সম্পত্তি বঢ়াই থাকে।

Behold, these are the wicked; and yet prospering continually they increase in wealth.

13 ১৩ “মই যে পাপ নকৰাকৈ নিজকে শুচি কৰি ৰাখিলোঁ; ই তেন্তে কি অৰ্থহীন নেকি?

Verily in vain have I thus cleansed my heart, and have washed in innocency my hands:

14 ১৪ মই ওৰে দিনটো আঘাতিত হলোঁ; প্ৰতি ৰাতিপুৱা তুমি মোক অপদস্থ কৰিলা।”

While I was afflicted all the day, and my chastisement [came] every morning.

15 ১৫ যদি মই এনেকুৱা কথাবোৰ কলোহেঁতেন, তেন্তে সেয়া কোনোমতে তোমাৰ সন্তানৰ কথা নহলহেঁতেন।

But if I were to say, I will speak thus: behold, I would be treacherous against the generation of thy children.

16 ১৬ এই সমস্যাৰ বিষয়ে বুজিবলৈ মই বৰ চেষ্টা কৰিছিলোঁ; কিন্তু বুজি পাবৰ বাবে এই সমস্যাটো বহুত কঠিন আছিল।

And when I should think to know this, it would be trouble in my eyes;

17 ১৭ যেতিয়া মই ঈশ্বৰৰ মন্দিৰলৈ গলো, তাৰ পাছতহে তেওঁলোকৰ কি দশা হ’ব মই বুজিব পাতিলোঁ।

Until I enter into the sanctuary of God; and understand what their future will be.

18 ১৮ সঁচাকৈ তুমি তেওঁলোকক পিছল খোৱা ঠাইত থৈছা; তুমি তেওঁলোকক বিনাশৰ গাতত পেলাই তেওঁলোকৰ সর্বনাশ কৰিবা।

Surely thou placest them on slippery spots: thou lettest them fall down into destruction.

19 ১৯ তেওঁলোক কেনেকৈ নিমিষতে মৰুভুমিত উচ্ছন্ন হয়, নানা আতঙ্কজনক শঙ্কাত তেওঁলোক একেবাৰে বিনষ্ট হ’ব।

How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they perish, they come to their end with terrific events.

20 ২০ তেওঁলোক এটা সপোন দেখি সাৰ পায় সপোনটো তুচ্ছ জ্ঞান কৰাৰ নিচিনাকৈ; হে ঈশ্ৱৰ, যেতিয়া তুমি উঠিবা, তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকক ছায়া বুলি তুচ্ছ জ্ঞান কৰিবা।

As a dream after awaking, O Lord, reject thou in wrath their image.

21 ২১ যেতিয়া মই মনত গভীৰ দুখ পাইছিলোঁ; আৰু মোৰ অন্তৰত আঘাত লাগিছিল,

For it fermented in my heart, and in my reins I felt sharp thrusts;

22 ২২ তেতিয়া মই অজ্ঞান আৰু মনৰ কল্পনা অভাব বোধ কৰিছিলোঁ; তোমাৰ সাক্ষাতে অচেতন হোৱা পশুৰ নিচিনা আছিলোঁ।

But I was indeed foolish, and I knew it not: I was as a [thoughtless] beast with thee.

23 ২৩ তথাপি মই সদায় তোমাৰ লগতে আছোঁ; তুমি মোৰ সোঁ হাত খনত ধৰি ৰাখিলা।

Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast seized hold of me by my right hand.

24 ২৪ তুমি তোমাৰ উপদেশেৰে মোক পথ দেখুৱাবা, পৰবর্তী সময়ত মোক গৌৰৱেৰে গ্ৰহণ কৰিবা।

With thy counsel wilt thou guide me, and afterward take me on to glory.

25 ২৫ তোমাৰ বাহিৰে স্বৰ্গত মোৰ কোন আছে? তোমাৰ বাহিৰে পৃথিৱীত মোৰ এনে কোনো আশ্রয় নাই।

Whom have I in heaven? and beside thee I desire nothing upon earth.

26 ২৬ মোৰ শৰীৰ আৰু হৃদয় দুয়োটা পৰাজিত হ’ল; কিন্তু ঈশ্বৰ চিৰকাললৈকে মোৰ মনৰ শক্তি।

Though my flesh and my heart should fall; yet the rock of my heart, and my portion will be God for ever.

27 ২৭ কিয়নো চোৱা, তোমাৰ পৰা দূৰৈত থকা লোকসকলৰ সর্বনাশ হ’ব; তোমাক এৰি অবিশ্বাসী হোৱা সকলোকে তুমি ধ্বংস কৰিবা।

For, lo, those that are far from thee shall perish: thou destroyest every one that strayeth away from thee.

28 ২৮ কিন্তু মোৰ পক্ষে হলে, ঈশ্বৰৰ ওচৰ চপাই মঙ্গল; মই প্রভু যিহোৱাক মোৰ আশ্ৰয় স্থান ৰূপে গ্রহণ কৰিলোঁ; মই তোমাৰ সকলো কার্য ঘোষণা কৰিম।

But as regardeth me, to draw near to God is good for me: I have put in the Lord Eternal my trust, that I may relate all thy works.
