1 ১ মই কৈছিলোঁ, “মই মোৰ পথত সাৱধানে চলিম; যাতে মোৰ জিভাৰে মই পাপ নকৰোঁ; যেতিয়ালৈকে দুষ্টতা মোৰ আগত থাকে, তেতিয়ালৈকে মোৰ মুখত সোপা দি ৰাখিম।”
To the Chief Musician. For Jeduthun. A Melody of David. I said, [to myself, ] I will take heed to my ways, That I sin not with my tongue, —I will put on my mouth a muzzle, So long as the lawless is before me.
I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, afar from happiness, But, my pain had been stirred:
3 ৩ মই মোৰ অন্তর্জ্বালাত দহিছো। মই যেতিয়া মনে মনে এইবোৰ কথা ভাৱি আছিলোঁ, তেতিয়া অন্তৰত যেন জুই জ্বলিবলৈ ধৰিছিল; তাৰ পাছত মই মোৰ জিভাৰে কথা ক’লোঁ,
Hot was my heart within me, While I was musing, there was kindled a fire, I spake with my tongue!
4 ৪ “হে যিহোৱা, মোৰ জীৱনৰ শেষ গতি মোক জনোৱা; মোৰ আয়ুস কিমান দিনলৈকে আছে, তাক মোক জানিবলৈ দিয়া; মোৰ জীৱন যে কেনে অলপদিনীয়া, তাক মোক জ্ঞাত কৰা।
Let me know, O Yahweh, mine end, And the measure of my days—what it is, I would know how short-lived I am.
5 ৫ চোৱা, তুমি মোৰ দিনবোৰ এবেগেতীয়া কৰিলা; তোমাৰ দৃষ্টিত মোৰ জীৱনকাল একো নোহোৱাৰ নিচিনা; বাস্তৱিক, সকলো মানুহ এক নিশ্বাস মাথোন। (চেলা)
Lo! as hand-breadths, hast thou granted my days, and my life-time, is as nothing before thee, —Surely, a mere breath, are all men, [even] such as stand firm. (Selah)
6 ৬ বাস্তৱিক প্ৰতিজন মানুহে ছাঁস্বৰূপে অহা যোৱা কৰে; তেওঁলোকে অনৰ্থক ৰূপে কেৱল হুৰামুৰা কৰে; তেওঁলোকে ধন দমাই থয়, কিন্তু কোনে তাক ভোগ কৰিব, তাক নাজানে।
Surely as a shadow, doth every man wander, Surely in vain, do they bustle about, he heapeth things up, and knoweth not who shall gather them in.
Now, therefore, for what have I waited, O My Lord? My hope, is, in thee.
From all my transgressions, rescue thou me, —The reproach of the base, oh do not make me!
I am dumb, I cannot open my mouth, for, thou, hast done it.
Remove from off me thy stroke, Because of the hostility of thy hand, am, I, consumed.
11 ১১ তুমি যেতিয়া অপৰাধৰ কাৰণে মানুহক ধমকি দি শাসন কৰা, তেতিয়া পোকে নষ্ট কৰাৰ দৰে তুমি তেওঁলোকৰ সৌন্দৰ্য্য নষ্ট কৰি দিয়া। বাস্তৱিক সকলো মানুহ এক নিশ্বাস মাথোন। (চেলা)
When, by rebukes for iniquity, thou hast corrected a man, Then hast thou consumed, as a moth, all that was delightful within him, Surely, a breath, are all men. (Selah)
12 ১২ হে যিহোৱা, মোৰ প্ৰাৰ্থনা শুনা, আৰু মোৰ কাতৰোক্তিলৈ কাণ পাতা; মোৰ চকুলো দেখি নিৰৱে নাথাকিবা! মোৰ সকলো পূর্বপুৰুষসকলৰ নিচিনাকৈ মই তোমাৰ সন্মুখত পৰদেশত বাস কৰা বিদেশীৰ দৰে আছোঁ।
Hear my prayer, O Yahweh, And, unto my cry for help, give ear, At my tears, do not be silent, —For, a sojourner, am, I, with thee, A stranger, like all my fathers.
13 ১৩ মোৰ ওপৰৰ পৰা তোমাৰ কঠোৰ দৃষ্টি আঁতৰাই নিয়া, যাতে মই যোৱাৰ আগেয়ে অর্থাৎ মৃত্যুৰ আগেয়ে, পুনৰ হাঁহিব পাৰোঁ।”
Look away from me that I may brighten up, Ere yet I depart and am no more.
