1 ১ মই আনন্দিত হ’লো, যেতিয়া লোকসকলে মোক ক’লে, “ব’লা, আমি যিহোৱাৰ গৃহলৈ যাওঁ।”

A Song of Ascents. David’s. I was glad, when they were saying unto me, Unto the house of Yahweh, let us go!

2 ২ হে যিৰূচালেম, আমি তোমাৰ দুৱাৰবোৰৰ ভিতৰত ভৰি থৈ থিয় হৈ আছোঁ।

Standing are our feet, within thy gates, O Jerusalem!

3 ৩ সেই যিৰূচালেমক একেলগে সুদৃঢ়ভাৱে সংযুক্ত কৰা এটি নগৰ হিচাবে গঢ়ি তোলা হৈছে।

Jerusalem! that hath been builded, A true city, all joined together as one:

4 ৪ সকলো ফৈদ সেই ঠাইলৈ উঠি যায়, তেওঁলোক যিহোৱাৰ লোকসকলৰ ফৈদ; তেওঁলোকে ইস্ৰায়েল জাতিৰ বাবে দিয়া আজ্ঞা অনুসাৰে যিহোৱাৰ নামৰ ধন্যবাদ কৰিবলৈ উঠি যায়।

Whither have come up the tribes, The tribes of Yah, A testimony to Israel, To give thanks unto the Name of Yahweh:

5 ৫ কিয়নো সেই ঠাইত বিচাৰৰ বাবে সিংহাসনবোৰ আছে, দায়ুদৰ বংশৰ সিংহাসনবোৰ স্থাপিত আছে।

For there are set—Thrones for justice, Thrones for the house David.

6 ৬ তোমালোকে যিৰূচালেমৰ শান্তিৰ অৰ্থে প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰা; “যিসকলে যিৰূচালেমক ভাল পায়, তেওঁলোক উন্নত হওঁক।

Ask ye for the peace of Jerusalem, They shall prosper, who love thee!

7 ৭ তোমালোকৰ প্রাচীৰবোৰৰ ভিতৰত শান্তি হওঁক, আৰু তোমালোকৰ উচ্চ অট্টালিকাবোৰ নিৰাপদে থাকক।”

Peace be within thy walls, prosperity within thy palaces:

8 ৮ মোৰ কুটুম্ব আৰু বন্ধুসকলৰ অর্থে মই ক’ম, “যিৰূচালেমৰ মাজত শান্তি থাকক।”

For the sake of my brethren and friends, Oh, might I speak [saying], Peace be within thee!

9 ৯ আমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ গৃহ সেই ঠাইত আছে বাবেই মই তোমাৰ মঙ্গল বিচাৰি প্ৰার্থনা কৰিম।

For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God, will I seek blessing for thee.
