1 ১ ইস্রায়েল জাতি যেতিয়া মিচৰৰ পৰা ওলাই আহিল, যাকোবৰ বংশই যেতিয়া বিদেশী ভাষা কোৱা লোকৰ মাজৰ পৰা ওলাই আহিল,

When Israel went out of Egypt, and the house of Iaakob from the barbarous people,

2 ২ তেতিয়া যিহূদা হ’ল ঈশ্বৰৰ পবিত্র স্থান, ইস্ৰায়েল হ’ল তেওঁৰ ৰাজ্য।

Iudah was his sanctification, and Israel his dominion.

3 ৩ সমুদ্ৰই তাকে দেখি পলায়ন কৰিলে; যৰ্দ্দন নদী উজাই গ’ল।

The Sea sawe it and fled: Iorden was turned backe.

4 ৪ পর্বতবোৰে মতা মেৰ-ছাগৰ নিচিনাকৈ, পাহাৰবোৰে মেৰ-ছাগ পোৱালীৰ নিচিনাকৈ জঁপিয়াবলৈ ধৰিলে।

The mountaines leaped like rams, and the hils as lambes.

5 ৫ হে সমুদ্ৰ, তোমাৰ কি হ’ল? কিয় তুমি পলাই গ’লা? হে যৰ্দ্দন, কিয় তুমি উজাই গ’লা?

What ailed thee, O Sea, that thou fleddest? O Iorden, why wast thou turned backe?

6 ৬ হে পৰ্বতসমূহ, কিয় তোমালোকে মতা মেৰ-ছাগৰ দৰে জঁপিয়াবলৈ ধৰিলা? হে পাহাৰসমূহ, কিয় তোমালোকে মেৰ-ছাগ পোৱালীৰ দৰে জঁপিয়াবলৈ ধৰিলা?

Ye mountaines, why leaped ye like rams, and ye hils as lambes?

7 ৭ হে পৃথিৱী! তুমি যিহোৱাৰ সন্মুখত কম্পমান হোৱা, যাকোবৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ সন্মুখত কম্পমান হোৱা।

The earth trembled at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Iaakob,

8 ৮ তেওঁ শিলক জলাশয়লৈ পৰিণত কৰিলে, চক্‌মকীয়া কঠিন শিলক জলৰ এক ভুমুক কৰিলে।

Which turneth the rocke into waterpooles, and the flint into a fountaine of water.
