1 ১ মই যিহোৱাতে আশ্ৰয় লৈছোঁ। তোমালোকে কেনেকৈ মোক ক’ব পাৰা, “পক্ষীৰ দৰে উৰি পৰ্ব্বতলৈ পলাই যোৱা?”

[For the Chief Musician. By David.] In Jehovah, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain."

2 ২ কিয়নো চোৱা! শুদ্ধ অন্তৰৰ লোকক আন্ধাৰৰ পৰা আহত কৰিবৰ কাৰণে দুষ্টবোৰে নিজৰ ধনু ভিৰাই লৈছে, তেওঁলোকে তাত কাঁড় লগাইছে।

For, look, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrows on the strings, that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.

3 ৩ যদি ভিত্তিমূলবোৰ ধ্বংস কৰা হয়, তেন্তে ধাৰ্মিকসকলে কি কৰিব পাৰিব?

If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4 ৪ কিন্তু যিহোৱা, তেওঁৰ পবিত্ৰ মন্দিৰত আছে; তেওঁৰ সিংহাসন স্বর্গতে আছে। তেওঁ মানুহলৈ চাই থাকে, তেওঁৰ চকুৱে মানুহক পৰীক্ষা কৰে।

Jehovah is in his holy temple. Jehovah is on his throne in heaven. His eyes look upon the poor. His eyes examine the descendants of Adam.

5 ৫ যিহোৱাই ধাৰ্মিক আৰু দুষ্ট সকলোকে পৰীক্ষা কৰে; কিন্তু যিবোৰ দুষ্ট, অত্যাচাৰপ্রিয়, তেনেলোকক তেওঁ ঘৃণা কৰে।

Jehovah examines the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence his soul hates.

6 ৬ তেওঁ দুষ্ট লোকৰ ওপৰত জ্বলন্ত অগ্নি আৰু গন্ধক বর্ষাব; তেওঁৰ পাত্রৰ পৰা দগ্ধ কৰি নিয়া বতাহ তেওঁলোকৰ ভাগত হ’ব।

On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

7 ৭ যিহোৱা ধাৰ্মিক, আৰু ধার্মিকতা তেওঁ ভাল পায়; সৎ লোকে তেওঁৰ মুখ দেখা পাব।

For Jehovah is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face.
