Then Jesus spoke to the multitude, and to his disciples,
Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses's seat.
3 ৩ এই কাৰণে তেওঁলোকে তোমালোকক যি আজ্ঞা দিয়ে, সেই সকলোকে পালন আৰু মান্য কৰিবা; কিন্তু তেওঁলোকৰ কৰ্মৰ দৰে নকৰিবা; কিয়নো তেওঁলোকে যি দৰে কয়, সেইদৰে নকৰে।
All therefore, whatever they bid you observe, [that] observe and do: but do not ye according to their works: for they say, and do not.
4 ৪ হয়, তেওঁলোকে গধূৰ আৰু অসহনীয় ভাৰ বান্ধি মানুহবোৰৰ কান্ধত দিয়ে, কিন্তু নিজে এটা আঙুলিৰেও সেই ভাৰ লৰাবলৈ ইচ্ছা নকৰে।
For they bind heavy burdens, and grievous to be borne, and lay [them] on men's shoulders; but they [themselves] will not move them with one of their fingers.
5 ৫ তেওঁলোকে মানুহক দেখুৱাবলৈ নিজৰ সকলো কৰ্ম কৰে; তেওঁলোকে নিজৰ নিজৰ তাবিজ ডাঙৰকৈ লয়, আৰু কাপোৰৰ দহি দীঘলকৈ ৰাখে৷
But all their works they do to be seen by men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
And greetings in the markets, and to be called by men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
8 ৮ কিন্তু তোমালোকে হ’লে, ‘ৰব্বি’বুলি মতা নহ’বা; কিয়নো এজন তোমালোকৰ গুৰু আছে, আৰু তোমালোক সকলো ভাই ভাই।
But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, [even] Christ; and all ye are brethren.
And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your Father who is in heaven.
Neither be ye called masters: for one is your master, [even] Christ.
But he that is greatest among you, shall be your servant.
12 ১২ যি কোনোৱে নিজকে নিজে বৰ বুলি মানিব, তেওঁক সৰু কৰা হ’ব; আৰু যি কোনোৱে নিজকে নিজে সৰু বুলি মানিব, তেওঁক বৰ কৰা হ’ব।
And whoever shall exalt himself, shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself, shall be exalted.
13 ১৩ কিন্তু হায় হায় কপটীয়া বিধানৰ অধ্যাপক আৰু ফৰীচী সকল! আপোনালোক সন্তাপৰ পাত্ৰ; কিয়নো মানুহবোৰৰ আগত আপোনালোকে স্বৰ্গৰাজ্যৰ দুৱাৰ বন্ধ কৰিছে; কাৰণ আপোনালোকে নিজেও নোসোমাই, আৰু সোমাবলৈ ধৰা সকলকো সোমাবলৈ নিদিয়ে।
But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees! hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in [yourselves], neither suffer ye them that are entering, to go in.
14 ১৪ হায় হায় কপটীয়া, অধ্যাপক আৰু ফৰীচী সকল! আপোনালোকে বাৰী-বিধৱা সকলৰ ঘৰ-বাৰী গ্ৰাস কৰে আৰু দীঘল প্ৰাৰ্থনাৰে ছদ্মবেশ ধৰে, এই হেতুকে আপোনালোকে অধিক দণ্ড পাব।
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
15 ১৫ হায় হায় কপটীয়া, বিধানৰ অধ্যাপক আৰু ফৰীচী সকল! আপোনালোক সন্তাপৰ পাত্ৰ; কিয়নো আপোনালোকে এজনক ইহুদী ধৰ্ম দিবলৈ, সাগৰ আৰু পৃথিৱী ঘূৰি ফুৰে; আৰু যেয়ে লয়, সেই জনক নিজতকৈয়ো দুগুণ নৰকী কৰে। (Geenna g1067)
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him two-fold more the child of hell than yourselves. (Geenna g1067)
16 ১৬ হায় হায় অন্ধ পথ প্ৰর্দশক! আপোনালোক সন্তাপৰ পাত্ৰ; কিয়নো আপোনালোকে কয় যে, মন্দিৰত ধৰি শপত খালে একো নহয়; কিন্তু যি জনে মন্দিৰৰ সোণত ধৰি শপত খায়, তেওঁহে ধৰুৱা হয়।
Woe to you, [ye] blind guides, who say, Whoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor.
[Ye] fools, and blind: for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
18 ১৮ আপোনালোকে কয় যে, বেদিত ধৰি শপত খালে, একো নহয়; কিন্তু যি জনে তাৰ ওপৰৰ নৈবেদ্যত ধৰি শপত খায়, তেওঁহে ধৰুৱা।
And whoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
[Ye] fools, and blind: for which [is] greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
Whoever therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things upon it.
And whoever shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth in it.
And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth upon it.
23 ২৩ হায় হায় কপটীয়া, বিধানৰ অধ্যাপক আৰু ফৰীচী সকল! আপোনালোক সন্তাপৰ পাত্ৰ; কিয়নো আপোনালোকে পদিনা, গুৱামুৰি, আৰু জীৰাৰ দশম ভাগ দান কৰে, কিন্তু বিধানৰ মাজৰ গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ যি ভাগ, ন্যায়-বিচাৰ, দয়া আৰু বিশ্বাস, এইবোৰৰ ভাগ হলে নিদিয়ে। কিন্তু এইবোৰ পালন কৰা, আৰু সেইবোৰক ত্যাগ নকৰা আপোনালোকৰ উচিত আছিল।
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint, and anise, and cummin, and have omitted the weightier [matters] of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ye ought to have done, and not to leave the others undone.
[Ye] blind guides, who strain out a gnat, and swallow a camel.
25 ২৫ হায় হায় কপটীয়া, বিধানৰ অধ্যাপক আৰু ফৰীচী সকল! আপোনালোক সন্তাপৰ পাত্ৰ; কিয়নো আপোনালোকে বাটি-কাঁহীৰ বাহিৰফাল শুচি কৰে, কিন্তু ভিতৰফাল অপহৰণ আৰু অতিশয্যৰে পৰিপূৰ্ণ।
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 ২৬ হে অন্ধ ফৰীচী সকল, আপোনালোকে আগেয়ে বাটি-কাঁহীৰ ভিতৰফাল পৰিষ্কাৰ কৰক, তেতিয়াহে তাৰ বাহিৰ ফালো শুচি হ’ব।
[Thou] blind Pharisee, cleanse first that [which is] within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
27 ২৭ হায় হায় কপটীয়া, বিধানৰ অধ্যাপক আৰু ফৰীচী সকল! আপোনালোক সন্তাপৰ পাত্ৰ৷ আপোনালোক বগাকৈ লিপা মৈদামৰ নিচিনা; সেইবোৰৰ বাহিৰফাল দেখিবলৈ সুন্দৰ, কিন্তু ভিতৰফাল মৰা মানুহৰ হাড় আৰু সকলো প্ৰকাৰ মলিৰে পৰিপূৰ্ণ৷
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like whitened sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead [men's] bones, and of all uncleanness.
Thus ye also outwardly appear righteous to men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
29 ২৯ হায় হায় কপটীয়া, বিধানৰ অধ্যাপক আৰু ফৰীচী সকল। আপোনালোক সন্তাপৰ পাত্ৰ; কিয়নো আপোনালোকে ভাববাদী সকলৰ মৈদাম বান্ধিছে, আৰু ধাৰ্মিক সকলৰ মৈদাম শোভিত কৰিছে৷
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchers of the righteous,
30 ৩০ আপোনালোকে কয় যে, ‘আমাৰ পূৰ্ব-পুৰুষ সকলৰ দিনত আমি থকা হ’লে, ভাৱবাদী সকলৰ ৰক্তপাতত তেওঁলোকৰ সঙ্গী নহলোহেঁতেন’।
And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31 ৩১ এইদৰে, আপোনালোক যে ভাববাদী সকলক বধ কৰোঁতা সকলৰ সন্তান, এই বিষয়ে আপোনালোকে নিজেই নিজৰ পক্ষত সাক্ষ্য দিছা।
Wherefore ye are witnesses to yourselves, that ye are the children of them who killed the prophets.
Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
[Ye] serpents, [ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? (Geenna g1067)
34 ৩৪ এই কাৰণে চাওক, মই আপোনালোকৰ ওচৰলৈ ভাববাদী, জ্ঞানী আৰু বিধানৰ অধ্যাপক সকলক পঠাওঁ; তেওঁলোকক আপোনালোকে বধ কৰিব, ক্রুচত দিব; কিছুমানক আপোনালোকে নাম-ঘৰত কোবাব, আৰু নগৰে নগৰে তাড়না কৰিব।
Wherefore behold, I send to you prophets, and wise men, and scribes; and [some] of them ye will kill and crucify, and [some] of them ye will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute [them] from city to city:
35 ৩৫ তাতে ধাৰ্মিক হেবলৰ ৰক্তপাতৰ পৰা, বৰখিয়াৰ পুতেক যি জখৰিয়াক আপোনালোকে মন্দিৰ আৰু বেদিৰ মাজত বধ কৰিছিল, তেওঁৰ ৰক্তপাতলৈকে পৃথিৱীৰ ওপৰত সকলো ধাৰ্মিকৰ ৰক্তপাতৰ দোষ আপোনালোকৰ ওপৰত পৰিব।
That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel, to the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
Verily I say to you, all these things shall come upon this generation.
37 ৩৭ “যিৰূচালেম, যিৰূচালেম, যি জনে ভাববাদী সকলক বধ কৰে আৰু তোমাৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠোৱা সকলক শিল দলিয়াই মাৰে, কিমান বাৰ মই তোমালোকৰ সন্তান সকলক একলগ কৰিবলৈ যত্ন কৰিলোঁ, কুকুৰাই যেনেকৈ নিজৰ পোৱালিবোৰক ডেউকাৰ তলত চপাই লয়, তেনেকৈ ময়ো তোমাৰ সন্তানবোৰক চপাই লবলৈ ইচ্ছা কৰিছিলোঁ, কিন্তু তুমি সন্মত নহলা।
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, [thou] that killest the prophets, and stonest them who are sent to thee, how often would I have gathered thy children, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under [her] wings, and ye would not!
Behold, your house is left to you desolate.
39 ৩৯ কিয়নো মই তোমাক কওঁ, প্ৰভুৰ নামেৰে যি জন আহিছে তেওঁ ধন্য, এই কথা নোকোৱালৈকে তুমি এতিয়াৰ পৰা পুনৰ মোক দেখিবলৈ নাপাবা।”
For I say to you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
