1 ১ তেতিয়া চুহীয়া বিল্দাদে উত্তৰ দিলে আৰু ক’লে,
Then answered Bildad the Shuchite, and said,
2 ২ তুমি নো কিমান সময় এনেবোৰ কথা কৈ থাকিবা? তোমাৰ মুখৰ বাক্য কিমান সময়লৈ প্ৰচণ্ড বায়ুস্বৰূপ হ’ব?
How long wilt thou speak these things? and [let] like a mighty wind be the words of thy mouth?
3 ৩ ঈশ্বৰে জানো বিচাৰ বিকৃত কৰে? সৰ্ব্বশক্তিমান জনাই জানো ন্যায়ৰ বিকৃত কাৰ্য কৰে?
Should God pervert justice? or should the Almighty pervert righteousness?
4 ৪ তোমাৰ সন্তান সকলে তেওঁৰ বিৰুদ্ধে পাপ কৰিলে। আমি এইটো জানো যে, তেওঁলোকক নিজৰ অধৰ্মৰ ফল ভোগ কৰিবলৈ তেওঁ এৰি দিলে,
If thy children have sinned against him, then did he send them off through the means of their transgression.
5 ৫ তথাপি তুমি যদি যত্নেৰে ঈশ্বৰক বিচাৰা, আৰু সৰ্ব্বশক্তিমান জনাৰ আগত নিবেদন কৰা,
If thou wilt earnestly seek for God, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
6 ৬ তুমি যদি নিৰ্ম্মল আৰু সৰল হোৱা, তেন্তে তেওঁ অৱশ্যে এতিয়াও তোমাৰ কাৰণে কাৰ্য কৰিব, আৰু তোমাৰ ধৰ্মনিবাস পুনৰায় কুশলযুক্ত কৰিব;
If thou become pure and upright: surely then will he watch over thee, and restore thy righteous habitation.
7 ৭ আৰু যদি তোমাৰ পূৰ্বৰ অৱস্থা সামান্য আছিল, তথাপি তোমাৰ শেষ অৱস্থা অতিশয় ঐশ্বৰ্য্যশালী হ’ব।
And thy beginning will have been small; because thy latter end will grow up greatly.
8 ৮ কিয়নো পূৰ্বকালৰ লোকৰ কথা বিচাৰ কৰি চোৱা, আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ পিতৃসকলে মিমাংসা কৰি নিশ্চয় কৰা কথাত মনোযোগ দিয়া;
For ask, I pray thee, of an earlier generation, and prepare thyself to [stand by] the research of their fathers; —
9 ৯ কিয়নো আমি কালিৰ লোক, একোকে নাজানো; কাৰণ পৃথিবীত আমাৰ দিন কেইটা ছাঁস্বৰূপ।
For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because a [mere] shadow are our days upon earth; —
10 ১০ তেওঁলোকেই তোমাক শিক্ষা দি নক’ব নে? আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ অন্তৰৰ পৰা বাক্য নুলিয়াব নে?
Behold, these will truly teach thee, they will speak unto thee, and out of their very heart will they bring forth words:
11 ১১ জলাশয় নোহোৱাকৈ জানো প্যাপিৰাচ বাঢ়িব পাৰে? কুঁহিলা জানো পানী নোহোৱাকৈ বাঢ়ে?
Can the bulrush shoot upward without mire? can the meadow-grass grow up without water?
12 ১২ সি জকমকাই উঠি আহোঁতে, কাটিবৰ সময় নৌ হওঁতেই, আনবোৰ তৃণতকৈ আগেয়ে শুকাই যায়।
It is yet in its greenness, not yet cut down, when it withereth before any other grass.
13 ১৩ ঈশ্বৰক পাহৰা সকলোৰে তেনেকুৱা গতি হয়, আৰু অধৰ্মি জনৰ আশা সেইদৰে নষ্ট হয়।
So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hope of the hypocrite will perish:
14 ১৪ তাৰ ভাৰসা উচ্ছন্ন হয়, আৰু তাৰ আশ্ৰয় মকৰাৰ জালস্বৰূপ হয়।
[It is he] whose trust will be cut off, and but a spider's web is that in which he confideth.
15 ১৫ সি নিজৰ ঘৰত আউজিব, কিন্তু সেয়ে থিৰে নৰব; সি খামোচ মাৰি ধৰিব, কিন্তু সেয়ে নাথাকিব।
He leaneth against his house, but it shall not stand: he layeth fast hold on it, but it shall not remain erect.
16 ১৬ যি লতা সূৰ্যৰ আগত ৰসাল হয়, যাৰ ঠালবোৰ বাৰীত বিয়পি যায়,
He is in full vigor before the sun, and over his garden his shoots go forth.
17 ১৭ যাৰ শিপাবোৰে শিলৰ দ’মত মেৰাই ধৰে, যি লতাই শিলৰ ভিতৰলৈকে দেখিবলৈ পায়,
His roots are twisted about a stoneheap, he selecteth [for himself] a place of stones.
18 ১৮ কিন্তু সেই ব্যক্তিক নিজ ঠাইৰ পৰা উঘালি পেলোৱা হ’লে, সেই ঠায়ে অস্বীকাৰ কৰিব আৰু ক’ব, ‘মই তোমাক কেতিয়াও দিখা নাই’।
But when men destroy him from his place, then will it deny him, saying, I have never seen thee.
19 ১৯ চোৱা, তেনেলোকৰ ব্যৱহাৰৰ এয়ে আমোদ; পাছত সেই ঠাইৰ পৰাই আন গছবোৰ উৎপন্ন হ’ব।
Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the [same] dust others will grow up.
20 ২০ চোৱা, ঈশ্বৰে সিদ্ধলোকক দলিয়াই নেপেলাব, আৰু দুৰাচাৰীহঁতৰ হাতত নধৰিব।
Behold, God will not reject a perfect man, and will not hold fast by their hand the evil-doers:
21 ২১ তেওঁ যি কালত তোমাৰ মুখ হাঁহিৰে, আৰু তোমাৰ ওঁঠ আনন্দ-ধ্বনিৰে পুৰ কৰিব,
Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with joyful shouting.
22 ২২ সেই কালত তোমাক ঘিণ কৰোঁতাবোৰক লজ্জাৰূপ বস্ত্ৰ পিন্ধোৱা হ’ব; আৰু দুষ্টবোৰৰ তম্বু নাথাকিব।”
They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the tent of the wicked shall be no more.
