যোব 22

1 ১ তেতিয়া তৈমনীয়া ইলীফজে পুনৰায় উত্তৰ কৰি ক’লে,

And Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,

2 ২ মানুহ জানো ঈশ্বৰৰ উপকাৰী হব পাৰে? বাস্তৱিক জ্ঞানী মানুহ নিজৰেইহে উপকাৰী হয়।

Can a man be profitable to God? surely it is unto himself that the wise man is profitable.

3 ৩ তুমি ধাৰ্মিক হলে সৰ্ব্বশক্তিমান জনাৰ কিবা হিত হব নে? তুমি সিদ্ধ আচৰণ কৰিলে তেওঁৰ কি লাভ হব?

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if thou art righteous? And is it gain [to him] that thou makest thy ways perfect?

4 ৪ তেওঁলৈ তোমাৰ কি ভয়, তাৰ কাৰণেহে তেওঁ জানো তোমাক অনুযোগ কৰে? তাৰ নিমিত্তেহে জানো তেওঁ তোমাৰ লগত বিচাৰত সোমাব?

Will he reason with thee for fear of thee? Will he enter with thee into judgment?

5 ৫ তোমাৰ দুষ্টতা অধিক নহয় নে? তোমাৰ অপৰাধ অসীম নহয় নে?

Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities without end?

6 ৬ কিয়নো তুমি অকাৰণতে নিজ ভাইৰ পৰা বন্ধক ল’লা, আৰু বস্ত্ৰহীনৰ পৰাও বস্ত্ৰ কাঢ়ি ল’লা।

For thou hast taken a pledge of thy brother for nought, and stripped off the clothing of the naked.

7 ৭ তুমি তৃষ্ণাতুৰ লোকক পানী নিদিলা, আৰু ক্ষুধাতুৰ লোকৰ আহাৰ আটক কৰিলা।

Thou hast not given water to the fainting to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.

8 ৮ কিন্তু দেশখন পৰাক্ৰমী জনাৰেই আছিল; আৰু মৰ্য্যদাৱান জনাই তাত বাস কৰিছিল।

But the powerful man, he had the land; and the man of high rank dwelt in it.

9 ৯ তুমি বিধৱাসকলক শুদা হাতে বিদায় দিলা; আৰু পিতৃহীনসকলৰ বাহু ভঙা হ’ল।

Widows hast thou sent empty away, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.

10 ১০ এই হেতুকে তোমাৰ চাৰিওফালে ফান্দ আছে; আৰু আকস্মিক ত্ৰাসে তোমাক বিহ্বল কৰিছে।

Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;

11 ১১ তুমি আন্ধাৰ দেখা নাই নে? তোমাক তল নিওঁতা ঢল-পানী জানো দেখা নোপোৱা?

Or darkness, that thou canst not see, and floods of waters cover thee.

12 ১২ ঈশ্বৰ নিচেই ওখত থকা স্বৰ্গত নাই নে? সকলোতকৈ ওপৰত থকা তৰাবোৰ চোৱা, সেইবোৰ কিমান ওখত আছে?

Is not God in the height of the heavens? And behold the summit of the stars: how exalted are they!

13 ১৩ তুমি কৈছা, “ঈশ্বৰে কি জানে? ঘন মেঘৰ মাজেদি তেওঁ জানো বিচাৰ কৰিব পাৰে?

And thou sayest, What doth God know? will he judge through the dark cloud?

14 ১৪ ঘন মেঘে আঁৰ কৰি ধৰাত, তেওঁ দেখিবলৈ নাপায়, কেৱল আকাশ-মণ্ডল ফুৰি থাকে।”

Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh on the vault of the heavens.

15 ১৫ তুমি পুৰণি পথকে ধৰি থাকিবা নে, যি পথেৰে দুৰ্জনবোৰে খোজকাঢ়ে -

Dost thou mark the ancient path which wicked men have trodden?

16 ১৬ সিহঁতক অকালতে ধৰি নিয়া হৈছিল; আৰু সিহঁতৰ ভিত্তিমূল বান-পানীয়ে উটাই নিছিল।

Who were carried off before the time, whose foundation was overflowed with a flood;

17 ১৭ সেই সময়ত সিহঁতে ঈশ্বৰক কৈছিল, “আমাৰ পৰা দূৰ হোৱা;” আৰু “সৰ্ব্বশক্তিমান জনাই আমাৰ অৰ্থে কি কৰিব পাৰে?”

Who said unto God, Depart from us! and what could the Almighty do to them?

18 ১৮ তথাপি তেওঁ সিহঁতৰ ঘৰবোৰ উত্তম উত্তম দ্ৰব্যেৰে পৰিপূৰ্ণ কৰিছিল; কিন্তু দুষ্টবোৰৰ আলচ মোৰ পৰা দূৰত থাকে।

Yet he filled their houses with good. But the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

19 ১৯ তাকে দেখি ধাৰ্মিকসকলে আনন্দ কৰে; আৰু নিৰ্দ্দোষী লোকে সিহঁতক খেঁজেলিয়াই,

The righteous see it, and are glad; and the innocent laugh them to scorn:

20 ২০ আৰু কয়, “আমাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে উঠাবোৰ নিশ্চয়ে বিনষ্ট হল; আৰু সিহঁতৰ প্ৰচুৰ সম্পত্তি অগ্নিয়ে গ্রাস কৰিলে।”

Is not he who rose against us destroyed, and doth not the fire consume his residue?

21 ২১ এতিয়া তুমি তেৱেঁ সৈতে পৰিচয় কৰি শাস্তি লাভ কৰা; তাকে কৰিলে তোমাৰ মঙ্গল হব।

Reconcile thyself now with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

22 ২২ তেওঁৰ মুখৰ পৰা ব্যৱস্থা গ্ৰহণ কৰা, আৰু তেওঁৰ বাক্যবোৰ তোমাৰ হৃদয়ত ৰাখা।

Receive, I pray thee, instruction from his mouth, and lay up his words in thy heart.

23 ২৩ যদি তুমি সৰ্ব্বশক্তিমান জনালৈ ঘূৰা, আৰু তোমাৰ তম্বুৰ পৰা অধৰ্ম দূৰ কৰা, তেন্তে তুমি পুনৰায় উন্নতি লাভ কৰিবা।

If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up. If thou remove unrighteousness far from thy tents,

24 ২৪ তোমাৰ বহুমূল্য ধন ধূলিত ৰাখা, আৰু ওফীৰৰ সোণ জুৰিৰ শিলবোৰৰ মাজত পেলোৱা;

And put the precious ore with the dust, and [the gold of] Ophir among the stones of the torrents,

25 ২৫ তাতে সৰ্ব্বশক্তিমান জনা তোমাৰ বহুমূল্য ধন হ’ব, আৰু তেওঁ তোমাৰ উজ্জ্বল ৰূপস্বৰূপ হব।

Then the Almighty will be thy precious ore, and silver heaped up unto thee;

26 ২৬ কিয়নো তেতিয়া তুমি সৰ্ব্বশক্তিমান জনাত আনন্দ কৰিবা, আৰু ঈশ্বৰলৈ মুখ তুলিবা।

Yea, then shalt thou delight thyself in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God:

27 ২৭ তুমি তেওঁৰ আগত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰিলে তেওঁ শুনিব; তাতে তেওঁ তোমাৰ সঙ্কল্প সিদ্ধ কৰিব।

Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he will hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows;

28 ২৮ তুমি কোনো বিষয় মনত স্থিৰ কৰিলে, সেয়ে তোমালৈ সিদ্ধ হ’ব; আৰু তোমাৰ পথত পোহৰ পৰিব।

And thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee; and light shall shine upon thy ways.

29 ২৯ বিপদৰ কালত তুমি কবা, উন্নতি হব; আৰু অধোমুখক তেওঁ নিস্তাৰ কৰিব।

When they are made low, then thou shalt say, Rise up! and he shall save him that is of downcast eyes.

30 ৩০ তেওঁ নিৰ্দ্দোষী নোহোৱা জনকো উদ্ধাৰ কৰিব; এনে কি, সি তোমাৰ হাতৰ যোগেদি পবিত্ৰতাৰ উদ্ধাৰ পাব।”

[Even] him that is not innocent shall he deliver; yea, he shall be delivered by the pureness of thy hands.
