যোব 12

1 ১ পাছত ইয়োবে পুনৰায় উত্তৰ দিলে আৰু ক’লে,

And Job answered and said,

2 ২ “হয় হয়, তোমালোকহে মানুহ; মৰিলে জ্ঞান তোমালোকৰ লগতে যাব।

No doubt but ye [are] the people, and wisdom shall die with you.

3 ৩ কিন্তু তোমালোকৰ নিচিনা মোৰো বুদ্ধি আছে; তোমালোকতকৈ মই নিকৃষ্ট নহওঁ; এনেবোৰ কথা কোনে নাজানে?

But I have understanding as well as you; I [am] not inferior to you: yes, who knoweth not such things as these?

4 ৪ ঈশ্বৰৰ আগত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰি উত্তৰ পোৱা যি মই, ময়েই বন্ধুৰ হাঁহিয়াতৰ পাত্ৰ হৈছোঁ; ধাৰ্মিক সিদ্ধ পুৰুষ জন হাঁহিয়াতৰ পাত্ৰ হৈছে।

I am [as] one mocked by his neighbor, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright [man is] derided.

5 ৫ নিৰাপদে থকা লোকৰ মনত বিপদ অপমানৰ বিষয়; পিছল খাই পৰিব লগীয়াবোৰলৈ সেয়ে বাট চায় থাকে।

He that is ready to slip with [his] feet [is as] a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.

6 ৬ ডকাইতবোৰৰ তম্বু কুশলে থাকে; যাৰ হাতত ঈশ্বৰে অধিক ধন সম্পত্তি শোধাই দিছে, ঈশ্বৰৰ বিৰক্ত জন্মোৱা এনেবোৰ লোক নিৰ্ব্বিঘ্নে থাকে।

The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth [abundantly].

7 ৭ কিন্তু পশুবোৰক সোধাচোন, সেইবোৰে তোমাক কি দিব; আৰু আকাশৰ পক্ষীবোৰক সোধা, সেইবোৰেও তোমাক কৈ দিব।

But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:

8 ৮ নাইবা পৃথিবীকো সোধাচোন, সিও তোমাক শিক্ষা দিব; আৰু সমুদ্ৰৰ মাছবোৰেও তোমাক কব।

Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare to thee.

9 ৯ পশুবোৰে এইবোৰ বিষয় নাজানে যে, যিহোৱাৰ হাতে এইবোৰ কৰিছে - সিহঁতক জীৱন দিছে -

Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?

10 ১০ যিহোৱাৰ হাততেই সকলো জীৱজন্তুৰ প্ৰাণ, আৰু সমুদায় মনুষ্য জাতিৰ জীৱাত্মা আছে।

In whose hand [is] the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

11 ১১ জিভাই যেনেকৈ আহাৰৰ আস্বাদ পায়, তেনেকৈ কাণে জানো কথাৰ পৰীক্ষা নকৰে?

Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste its food?

12 ১২ বৃদ্ধ লোকসকলৰ সৈতে জ্ঞান আছে, দীৰ্ঘ আয়ুসত বুদ্ধি থাকে।

With the ancient [is] wisdom; and in length of days understanding.

13 ১৩ জ্ঞান আৰু পৰাক্ৰম তেওঁৰ তাতহে আছে; পৰামৰ্শ আৰু বুদ্ধি তেওঁৰহে।

With him [is] wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.

14 ১৪ চোৱা, তেওঁ ভাঙি পেলালে পুনৰায় তাক সজা নাজায়; তেওঁ মানুহক বন্ধ কৰিলে তাক মুকলি কৰা নাযায়।

Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.

15 ১৫ চোৱা, তেওঁ জল সমূহক আটক কৰে, তাতে সেইবোৰ শুকাই যায়; আকৌ সেইবোৰক উলিয়াই দিয়ে, তাতে সেইবোৰে পৃথিবীখন লণ্ডভণ্ড কৰে।

Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.

16 ১৬ পৰাক্ৰম আৰু বুদ্ধি-কৌশল তেওঁৰ তাতহে; প্ৰবঞ্চক আৰু প্ৰবঞ্চিত লোক সেই দুয়ো তেওঁৰহে।

With him [is] strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver [are] his.

17 ১৭ তেওঁ মন্ত্ৰী সকলক সৰ্ব্বস্বহীন কৰি লৈ যায়, আৰু বিচাৰকৰ্ত্তা সকলক হতবুদ্ধি কৰে।

He leadeth counselors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.

18 ১৮ তেওঁ ৰজা সকলৰ ক্ষমতা গুচায়, আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ ককালত ডোল লগায়।

He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.

19 ১৯ তেওঁ পুৰোহিত সকলক সৰ্ব্বস্বহীন কৰি লৈ যায়, আৰু পৰাক্ৰমী সকলক বিনষ্ট কৰে।

He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.

20 ২০ তেওঁ বিশ্বাসী সকলৰ বাক-শক্তি দূৰ কৰে, আৰু বৃদ্ধ সকলৰ বিবেচনা-শক্তি কাঢ়ি নিয়ে।

He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.

21 ২১ তেওঁ ডাঙৰীয়া সকলৰ ওপৰত অপমান বৰষায়, আৰু বলৱন্ত সকলৰ ককালৰ বান্ধোন ঢিলা কৰে।

He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.

22 ২২ তেওঁ আন্ধৰৰ পৰা নিগূঢ় বিষয়বোৰ প্ৰকাশ কৰে, আৰু মৃত্যুচ্ছায়াকো পোহৰলৈ আনে।

He revealeth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth to light the shades of death.

23 ২৩ তেওঁ জাতি সমূহক উন্নতিপ্ৰাপ্ত কৰে, আৰু বিনষ্টও কৰে; তেওঁ জাতি সমূহক বিস্তাৰিত কৰে, আৰু লৈয়ো যায়।

He increaseth nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth nations, and straiteneth them [again].

24 ২৪ তেওঁ পৃথিবীৰ লোক-সমাজৰ মুখ্যসকলৰ বুদ্ধি দূৰ কৰে, আৰু পথ নোহোৱা অৰণ্যৰ মাজেদি তেওঁলোকক ভ্ৰমণ কৰায়।

He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness [where there is] no way.

25 ২৫ তেওঁলোকে পোহৰ নাপাই আন্ধাৰৰ মাজত খপিয়াই ফুৰে; তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক মতলীয়াৰ নিচিনাকৈ ঢলংপলং কৰি ফুৰায়।

They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like [a] drunken [man].
