যেরেমিয়া 42
1 ১ তেতিয়া কাৰেহৰ পুতেক যোহানন, হোচয়াৰ পুতেক যাজনিয়া আদি ফৌজৰ সকলো সেনাপতি আৰু সৰুৰ পৰা বৰলৈকে সকলো প্ৰজাই যিৰিমিয়া ভাববাদীৰ ওচৰলৈ চাপি আহিল।
THE WORD THAT CAME TO JEREMIAS from the Lord in the days of Joakim, king of Juda, saying,
2 ২ তেওঁলোকে তেওঁক ক’লে, “তোমাৰ আগত আমাৰ নিবেদন গ্ৰাহ্য হওঁক আৰু তুমি তোমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ আগত আমাৰ বাবে, এই সকলো অৱশিষ্ট লোকৰ বাবেই প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰা, কিয়নো তুমি নিজ চকুৰে দেখিছা যে অধিক লোকৰ পৰা আমি অলপ মাথোন অৱশিষ্ট আছোঁ।
Go to the house of the Archabin, and thou shalt bring them to the house of the Lord, into one of the courts, and give them wine to drink.
3 ৩ আমি কোন বাটেদি যোৱা উচিত আৰু কি কাৰ্য কৰা উচিত ইয়াকে দেখুৱাবৰ অৰ্থে তোমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাক নিবেদন কৰা।”
So I brought forth Jechonias the son of Jeremin the son of Chabasin, and his brethren, and his sons, and all the family of the Archabin;
4 ৪ তেতিয়া যিৰিমিয়া ভাববাদীয়ে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “মই তোমালোকৰ কথা শুনিলোঁ; চোৱা তোমালোকৰ বাক্য অনুসাৰে মই তোমালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ আগত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰিম আৰু যিহোৱাই তোমালোকলৈ যি যি উত্তৰ দিব, তাৰ সকলো কথা তোমালোকক জনাম, তাৰ একোকে তোমালোকৰ পৰা গুপুতে নাৰাখিম।”
and I brought them into the house of the Lord, into the chamber of the sons of Joanan, the son of Ananias, the son of Godolias, a man of God, who dwells near the house of the princes that are over the house of Maasaeas the son of Selom, who kept the court.
5 ৫ তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে যিৰিমিয়াক ক’লে, “তোমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই তোমাৰ দ্বাৰাই যি যি বাক্য আমালৈ কৈ পঠিয়াব, সেই সকলো বাক্য অনুসাৰে আমি যদি কাৰ্য নকৰোঁ, তেন্তে যিহোৱা আমাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে সত্য আৰু বিশ্বাসী সাক্ষী হওঁক।
And I set before them a jar of wine, and cups, and I said, Drink ye wine.
6 ৬ আমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ বাক্য আমি পালন কৰিলে আমাৰ মঙ্গল কাৰণে, আমি যিজনৰ ওচৰলৈ তোমাক পঠিয়ালোঁ, আমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ সেই যিহোৱাৰ বাক্য ভাল বা বেয়া হওঁক, আমি তাক পালন কৰিম।”
But they said, We will on no account drink wine, for our father Jonadab the son of Rechab commanded us, saying, Ye shall on no account drink wine, [neither] ye, nor your sons for ever:
nor shall ye at all build houses, nor sow any seed, nor shall ye have a vineyard: for ye shall dwell in tents all your days; that ye may live many days upon the land, in which ye sojourn.
8 ৮ তেতিয়া তেওঁ কাৰেহৰ পুতেক যোহাননক আৰু তেওঁৰ লগত থকা সকলো সেনাপতিক আৰু সৰুৰ পৰা বৰলৈকে সকলো প্ৰজাক মাতি আনিলে।
And we hearkened to the voice of Jonadab our father, so as to drink no wine all our days, we, and our wives, and our sons, and our daughters;
9 ৯ আৰু তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “তোমালোকৰ নিবেদন জনাবলৈ যিজনৰওচৰলৈ মোক পঠিয়াইছিলা, সেই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে,
and so as to build no houses to dwell in: and we have had no vineyard, nor field, nor seed:
10 ১০ ‘তোমালোকে যদি এতিয়াও এই দেশত বাস কৰা, তেন্তে মই তোমালোকক পাতিম, নাভাঙিম, তোমালোকক ৰুম, নুঘালিম; কিয়নো তোমালোকৰ যি অমঙ্গল কৰিছোঁ, সেই বিষয়ে মই ক্ষান্ত হ’লো।
but we have dwelt in tents, and have hearkened, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.
11 ১১ যিজনৰ পৰা তোমালোকে ভয়ত আছা, সেই বাবিলৰ ৰজালৈ ভয় নকৰিবা; যিহোৱাই কৈছে, ‘তেওঁলৈ ভয় নকৰিবা; কিয়নো তোমালোকক নিস্তাৰ কৰিবলৈ আৰু তেওঁৰ হাতৰ পৰা তোমালোকক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিবলৈ মই তোমালোকৰ লগত আছোঁ।
And it came to pass, when Nabuchodonosor came up against the land, that we said we would come in; and we entered into Jerusalem, for fear of the host of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the host of the Assyrians: and we dwelt there.
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
Thus saith the Lord, Go, and say to the men of Juda, and to them that dwell in Jerusalem, Will ye not receive correction to hearken to my words?
14 ১৪ আৰু যদি তোমালোকে কোৱা, যে, “সেয়ে নহ’ব! আমি য’ত ৰণ নেদেখিম, শিঙাৰ শব্দ নুশুনিম, আৰু আহাৰৰ অভাৱত ক্ষুধাতুৰ নহ’ম, সেই মিচৰ দেশত আমি সোমামগৈ, আৰু আমি তাত বাস কৰিম।”
The sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have kept the word which he commanded his children, that they should drink no wine; and they have not drunk [it]: but I spoke to you early, and ye hearkened not.
15 ১৫ তেতিয়া হে যিহূদাৰ অৱশিষ্ট ভাগ, তোমালোকে যিহোৱাৰ বাক্য শুনা। ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰ বাহিনীসকলৰ যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে: তোমালোকে যদি মিচৰত সোমাবলৈ একেবাৰে সেইফালে মুখ কৰা আৰু তাত বাস কৰিবলৈ যোৱা,
And I sent to you my servants the prophets, saying, Turn ye every one from his evil way, and amend your practices, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell upon the land which I gave to you and to your fathers: but ye inclined not your ears, and hearkened not.
16 ১৬ তেতিয়া তোমালোকে যি তৰোৱাললৈ ভয় কৰিছা সেই তৰোৱালে মিচৰ দেশতেই তোমালোকক লগ পাব আৰু যি দুৰ্ভিক্ষলৈ তোমালোকে ত্ৰাস পাইছা, সেই দুৰ্ভিক্ষই মিচৰ দেশতেই তোমালোকক ঢুকি পাব, আৰু তোমালোক তাতে মৰিবা।
But the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have kept the command of their father; but this people has not hearkened to me.
17 ১৭ যিসকল লোকে প্ৰবাস কৰিবৰ অৰ্থে মিচৰত সোমাবলৈ মুখ কৰিব, তেওঁলোক সকলোৰে সেই দশা হ’ব; তেওঁলোক তৰোৱাল, আকাল আৰু মহামাৰীৰ দ্বাৰাই মৰা পৰিব; আৰু মই তেওঁলোকলৈ যি অমঙ্গল ঘটাম, তাৰ পৰা তেওঁলোকৰ কোনেও উদ্ধাৰ কি ৰক্ষা নাপাব।
Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I [will] bring upon Juda and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evils which I pronounced against them.
18 ১৮ কিয়নো ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰ বাহিনীসকলৰ যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে: যিৰূচালেম-নিবাসীসকলৰ ওপৰত যেনেকৈ মোৰ ক্ৰোধ আৰু কাপ ঢালি দিয়া হৈছিল, তেনেকৈ তোমালোকে মিচৰ দেশত সোমোৱা সময়ত তোমালোকৰ ওপৰতো মোৰ ক্ৰোধ ঢালি দিয়া হ’ব; আৰু তোমালোক শাও, বিস্ময়, অভিশাপ আৰু নিন্দাৰ বিষয় হ’বা; তোমালোকে এই ঠাই আৰু দেখিবলৈ নাপাবা।’
Therefore thus saith the Lord; Since the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have hearkened to the command of their father, to do as their father commanded them:
19 ১৯ হে যিহূদাৰ অৱশিষ্টভাগ, তোমালোকক যিহোৱাই ক’লে; তোমালোক মিচৰত নোসোমাবা! মই আজি তোমালোকক সতৰ্ক কৰিলোঁ, ইয়াক নিশ্চয়ে জানিবা।
there shall never be wanting a man of the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab to stand before my face while the earth remains.
20 ২০ কিয়নো তোমালোকে তোমালোকৰ বিৰুদ্ধে তোমালোকক ভ্ৰান্ত কৰিলা; কাৰণ তোমালোকে মোক নিজৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ গুৰিলৈ পঠিয়াই কৈছিলা, যে, ‘তুমি আমাৰ বাবে আমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ আগত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰা; তেতিয়া আমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই যি যি ক’ব, সেইদৰে তুমি আমাক জনাবা, আমি তাক কৰিম।’
21 ২১ পাছে আজি মই তোমালোকক তাক জনালোঁ; কিন্তু যি বিষয়ে তোমালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই মোক তোমালোকৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠিয়াইছিল, সেই বিষয়ৰ কোনো কথাত, তেওঁৰ বাক্যলৈ তোমালোকে কাণ দিয়া নাই।
22 ২২ এতেকে এতিয়া নিশ্চয়ে জানিবা, যে, তোমালোকে প্ৰবাস কৰিবলৈ যি ঠাইলৈ যাব খুজিছা, সেই ঠাইত তৰোৱাল, আকাল আৰু মহামাৰীৰ দ্বাৰাই মৃত্যুৰ মুখত পৰিবা।”
