And when men began to be multiplied upon the earth, and daughters were born to them,
2 ২ ঈশ্বৰৰ সন্তানসকলে মানুহৰ এই যুৱতীবোৰক ৰূপৱতী দেখিলে আৰু সেয়ে, তেওঁলোকৰ যিয়ে যাকে পছন্দ কৰে, তেওঁ তাইকে বিয়া কৰাই ল’লে।
the sons of God, seeing that the daughters of men were beautiful, took to themselves wives from all whom they chose.
3 ৩ এই অবস্থা দেখি যিহোৱাই ক’লে, “মোৰ আত্মাই চিৰকাললৈকে মানুহত থাকি অধিকাৰ নচলাব; কিয়নো মানুহ ৰক্তমাংসৰে গঠিত মাত্ৰ। তেওঁলোক এশ বিশ বছৰ জীয়াই থাকিব।”
And God said: “My spirit shall not remain in man forever, because he is flesh. And so his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”
4 ৪ সেইকালত আৰু পৰৱর্তীকালত পৃথিৱীত নাফিলসকল আছিল। তেওঁলোক আছিল ঈশ্বৰৰ সন্তান সকলৰ লগত মানুহৰ যুৱতীবোৰৰ মিলনৰ ফলত জন্ম পোৱা সন্তান। নাফিলসকল পুৰনাকালৰ মহাবলী পুৰুষৰূপে বিখ্যাত আছিল।
Now giants were upon the earth in those days. For after the sons of God went in to the daughters of men, and they conceived, these became the powerful ones of ancient times, men of renown.
5 ৫ যিহোৱাই দেখিলে যে, পৃথিবীত মানুহৰ দুষ্টতা অধিককৈ বৃদ্ধি পাইছে আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ হৃদয়ৰ সকলো ভাৱ-চিন্তা সকলো সময়তে কেৱল মন্দতাৰ ফালে যায়।
Then God, seeing that the wickedness of men was great upon the earth and that every thought of their heart was intent upon evil at all times,
repented that he had made man on the earth. And being touched inwardly with a sorrow of heart,
7 ৭ সেয়ে যিহোৱাই ক’লে, “মই নিজে সৃষ্টি কৰা মানুহক পৃথিবীৰ পৰা উচ্ছন্ন কৰিম; মানুহৰ লগতে সকলো ডাঙৰ জীৱ-জন্তু, বগাই ফুৰা প্রাণী আৰু আকাশৰ চৰাইবোৰ লুপ্ত কৰিম; কিয়নো এই সকলোকে সৃষ্টি কৰি মই দুখ পাইছো।”
he said, “I will eliminate man, whom I have created, from the face of the earth, from man to other living things, from animals even to the flying things of the air. For it grieves me that I have made them.”
Yet truly, Noah found grace before the Lord.
9 ৯ এয়া হৈছে নোহৰ বিৱৰণ। নোহ এজন ধাৰ্মিক লোক আছিল। সেই সময়ৰ লোকসকলৰ মাজত তেৱেঁই সিদ্ধ আছিল; ঈশ্বৰৰ লগত নোহে সম্পর্ক ৰাখি চলিছিল।
These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man, and yet he was predominate among his generations, for he walked with God.
And he conceived three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Yet the earth was corrupted before the eyes of God, and it was filled with iniquity.
12 ১২ ঈশ্বৰে পৃথিৱীলৈ দৃষ্টিপাত কৰি দেখিলে যে, পৃথিৱী ভ্রষ্টতাৰে পূর্ণ হৈছে; কিয়নো পৃথিবীৰ সকলো প্রাণীয়ে দুর্নীতিৰ পথত চলিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
And when God had seen that the earth had been corrupted, (indeed, all flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth)
13 ১৩ ঈশ্বৰে নোহক ক’লে, “মই দেখা পাইছো যে, সমগ্র মানৱজাতিকে ধ্বংস কৰাৰ সময় হ’ল; কিয়নো তেওঁলোকে ক্রোধ আৰু হিংসাৰে পৃথিৱী পৰিপূৰ্ণ কৰিছে। মানুহৰ লগতে মই পৃথিৱীৰ সকলোকে ধ্বংস কৰিম।
he said to Noah: “The end of all flesh has arrived in my sight. The earth has been filled with iniquity by their presence, and I will destroy them, along with the earth.
14 ১৪ তুমি নিজৰ কাৰণে গোফৰ কাঠেৰে এখন জাহাজ নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰা। তাৰ ভিতৰত কিছুমান কোঠালি থাকিব আৰু সেই জাহাজৰ ভিতৰে বাহিৰে শিলাজতুৰে লিপি দিবা।
Make yourself an ark from smoothed wood. You shall make little dwelling places in the ark, and you shall smear pitch on the interior and exterior.
15 ১৫ জাহাজখন তুমি এইদৰে নির্ম্মাণ কৰিবা: দীঘলে তিনিশ হাত, পথালিয়ে পঞ্চাশ হাত আৰু তাৰ উচ্চতা হ’ব ত্ৰিশ হাত।
And thus shall you make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.
16 ১৬ জাহাজখনত এখন চালি বনাবা আৰু চালৰ পৰা তললৈ একহাত পর্যন্ত খিড়িকি কৰিবা আৰু জাহাজৰ কাষত দুৱাৰ ৰাখিবা; প্ৰথম, দ্বিতীয় আৰু তৃতীয় এনে তিনি তলাকৈ তাক নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰিবা;
You shall make a window in the ark, and you shall complete it within a cubit of the top. Then you shall set the door of the ark at its side. You shall make in it: a lower part, upper rooms, and a third level.
17 ১৭ আৰু চোৱা, মই পৃথিৱীত এনে এক বন্যা আনিম, তাতে আকাশৰ তলত শ্বাস-প্রশ্বাস লৈ জীয়াই থকা সকলো প্ৰাণীয়েই ধ্বংস হৈ যাব। তেতিয়া পৃথিৱীত থকা সকলো প্রাণীৰ মৃত্যু হ’ব।
Behold, I shall bring the waters of a great flood upon the earth, so as to put to death all flesh in which there is the breath of life under heaven. All things that are on the earth shall be consumed.
18 ১৮ কিন্তু মই তোমাৰ লগত মোৰ ব্যৱস্থা স্থাপন কৰিম; তুমি গৈ জাহাজত উঠিবা আৰু তোমাৰ লগত তোমাৰ পুত্ৰসকল, তোমাৰ ভাৰ্যা আৰু তোমাৰ পো-বোৱাৰীসকল থাকিব।
And I shall establish my covenant with you, and you shall enter the ark, you and your sons, your wife and the wives of your sons with you.
And from every living thing of all that is flesh, you shall lead pairs into the ark, so that they may survive with you: from the male sex and the female,
20 ২০ বিধে বিধে চৰাই, বিধে বিধে পশু, আৰু বিধে বিধে মাটিত বগাই ফুৰা সকলোৰে এযোৰ এযোৰকৈ তোমাৰ ওচৰলৈ আহিব। তুমি সিহঁতক জীয়াই ৰাখিবা।
from birds, according to their kind, and from beasts, in their kind, and from among all animals on earth, according to their kind; pairs from each shall enter with you, so that they may be able to live.
Therefore, you shall take with you from all the foods that are able to be eaten, and you shall carry these with you. And these shall be used as food, some for you, and the rest for them.”
And so Noah did all things just as God had instructed him.
The World is Destroyed by Water
