আমোস 6
1 ১ ধিক তোমালোক! তোমালোক যিসকল চিয়োনত নিচিন্তভাৱে আছা আৰু চমৰিয়া পাহাৰত নিৰাপদে বাস কৰি আছা, যি সকলৰ ওচৰলৈ ইস্রায়েল বংশৰ সকলো লোক সহায়ৰ বাবে আহে, তোমালোক জাতিবোৰৰ প্রধানসকলৰ মাজত প্রসিদ্ধ লোক।
Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and to them that are secure in the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!
2 ২ তোমালোকে কলনিলৈ গৈ চোৱা; তাৰ পৰা হমাতলৈ যোৱা, তাৰ পাছত পলেষ্টীয়া লোকসকলৰ গাত নগৰলৈ নামি যোৱা; সেই ৰাজ্যবোৰতকৈ তোমালোকৰ এই দুই ৰাজ্য উত্তম নে? তোমালোকৰ সীমা, সেইবোৰৰ সীমাতকৈ ডাঙৰ নে?
Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great; then go down to Gath of the Philistines: are they better than these kingdoms? or is their border greater than your border?
—ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;
4 ৪ যিসকলে হাতীদাঁতৰ পালেঙত শয়ন কৰে আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ শয্যাত আৰামেৰে দীঘল দি পৰে, জাকৰ পৰা মেৰ-ছাগ পোৱালি আৰু গোহালিৰ পৰা দামুৰি ভোজন কৰে;
that lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;
that sing idle songs to the sound of the viol; that invent for themselves instruments of music, like David;
6 ৬ যিসকলে পাত্রবোৰৰ পৰা দ্ৰাক্ষাৰস পান কৰে আৰু উত্তম সুগন্ধি তেলেৰে সৈতে নিজকে অভিষেক কৰে, কিন্তু যোচেফৰ বিনষ্টৰ কাৰণে তেওঁলোকে দুখ নকৰে!
that drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief oils; but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.
7 ৭ গতিকে বন্দী হৈ অন্য দেশলৈ যাব লগা সকলৰ মাজত এইসকলেই প্রথমে দেশান্তৰিত হ’ব; তেতিয়া ভোগবিলাসত আৰামেৰে থকাসকলৰ চিঞৰ-বাখৰ নাইকিয়া হ’ব।
Therefore shall they now go captive with the first that go captive; and the revelry of them that stretched themselves shall pass away.
8 ৮ বাহিনীসকলৰ ঈশ্বৰ প্ৰভু যিহোৱাই নিজৰ নামেৰে শপত খাই কৈছে: “মই যাকোবৰ অহংকাৰ আৰু তেওঁৰ দূর্গবোৰ ঘিণ কৰোঁ; সেই বাবে মই নগৰখন আৰু তাত থকা সকলোবোৰ আনৰ হাতত সমৰ্পণ কৰিম।”
The Lord Jehovah hath sworn by himself, saith Jehovah, the God of hosts: I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces; therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.
And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.
10 ১০ যেতিয়া কোনোবাজনৰ আত্মীয়ই মৃতদেহ দাহ কৰিবৰ কাৰণে শৱটো ঘৰৰ পৰা বাহিৰলৈ দাঙি লবলৈ আহিব আৰু তেওঁ ঘৰৰ একেবাৰে ভিতৰত থকা কাৰোবাক “তোমাৰ লগত আন কোনোবা আছে নেকি” বুলি জানিবলৈ সুধিব; তেতিয়া তেওঁ ক’ব, “নাই।” তাতে সেই আত্মীয়ই ক’ব, “মনে মনে থাকা! আমি যিহোৱাৰ নাম উল্লেখ কৰিব নাপায়।”
And when a man’s uncle shall take him up, even he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is in the innermost parts of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No; then shall he say, Hold thy peace; for we may not make mention of the name of Jehovah.
11 ১১ কিয়নো চোৱা, যিহোৱাই আজ্ঞা দিব, ডাঙৰ ডাঙৰ ঘৰ ভাঙি চূৰমাৰ হ’ব আৰু সৰু সৰু ঘৰ টুকুৰা-টুকুৰ কৰা হ’ব।
For, behold, Jehovah commandeth, and the great house shall be smitten with breaches, and the little house with clefts.
12 ১২ ঘোঁৰাবোৰে জানো খলাবমা শিলনিত লৰ মাৰিব পাৰে? কোনোৱে জানো তাত বলদেৰে হাল বাব পাৰে? কিন্তু তোমালোকে ন্যায়বিচাৰক বিহলৈ পৰিণত কৰিলা আৰু ধাৰ্মিকতাৰ ফলক তিতা ফাললৈ পৰিবৰ্ত্তন কৰিলা।
Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow [there] with oxen? that ye have turned justice into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood;
13 ১৩ তোমালোকে লো-দেবাৰত ব্যর্থ আনন্দ কৰিছা; তোমালোকে কোৱা, “আমি জানো নিজৰ শক্তিৰে কার্নয়িম অধিকাৰ কৰা নাই?”
ye that rejoice in a thing of nought, that say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
14 ১৪ বাহিনীসকলৰ যিহোৱাই কৈছে, “হে ইস্ৰায়েল-বংশ, চোৱা মই তোমালোকৰ বিৰুদ্ধে এক জাতিক উঠাম; সেই জাতিয়ে লিবো হমাতৰ পৰা অৰাবাৰ উপত্যকা পর্যন্ত তোমালোকৰ ওপৰত উপদ্রৱ কৰিব।”
For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith Jehovah, the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entrance of Hamath unto the brook of the Arabah.
