1 ১ পাছত যিহোচাফটে তেওঁৰ পূর্ব-পুৰুষসকলৰ সৈতে নিদ্ৰিত হোৱাত দায়ূদৰ নগৰত তেওঁৰ পূর্ব-পুৰুষসকলৰ লগতে তেওঁক মৈদাম দিয়া হ’ল; তাতে তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ যিহোৰাম তেওঁৰ পদত ৰজা হ’ল।
And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.
2 ২ অজৰিয়া, যিহীয়েল, জখৰিয়া, অজৰিয়া, মীখায়েল আৰু চফটিয়া নামেৰে যিহোচাফটৰ পুত্ৰ যিহোৰামৰ কেইবাজনো ভায়েক আছিল৷ তেওঁলোক আটাইকেইজনেই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজা যিহোচাফটৰ পুত্ৰ আছিল।
And he had brethren the sons of Jehoshaphat, Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah: all these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.
3 ৩ তেওঁলোকৰ পিতৃয়ে প্ৰতিজনকে অধিক সম্পত্তি, অৰ্থাৎ ৰূপ, সোণ, বহুমূল্য বস্তু আৰু যিহূদা দেশত থকা সুসজ্জিত গড়েৰে আবৃত নগৰবোৰ দান কৰিছিল; কিন্তু যিহোৰাম তেওঁৰ জেষ্ঠ্য পুত্ৰ হোৱাৰ বাবে তেওঁক তেওঁৰ ৰাজসিংহাসন দিলে।
And their father gave them great gifts, of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with fenced cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram, because he was the firstborn.
4 ৪ যেতিয়া যিহোৰামে নিজৰ পিতৃৰ সিংহাসনত ৰাজত্ৱ কৰি নিজকে বলৱান ৰজাৰূপে প্ৰতিষ্ঠা কৰি ল’লে, তেতিয়া তেওঁ নিজৰ আটাইকেইজন ভাইক আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ কেইবাজনো অধ্যক্ষক তৰোৱালেৰে বধ কৰিছিল।
Now when Jehoram was risen up over the kingdom of his father, and had strengthened himself, he slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel.
5 ৫ যিহোৰামে ৰাজত্ৱ আৰম্ভন কৰাৰ সময়ত তেওঁৰ বয়স বত্ৰিশ বছৰ আছিল আৰু তেওঁ যিৰূচালেমত আঠ বছৰলৈ ৰাজত্ব কৰিছিল।
Jehoram was thirty and two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
6 ৬ তেওঁ আহাবৰ বংশৰ নিচিনাকৈ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাসকলৰ পথত চলিছিল; কিয়নো তেওঁ আহাবৰ জীয়েকক তেওঁৰ পত্নীৰূপে লৈছিল; আৰু তেওঁ যিহোৱাৰ দৃষ্টিত কেৱল কু-আচৰণ কৰিছিল।
And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
7 ৭ তথাপিও দায়ূদৰ লগত যিহোৱাই কৰা নিয়ম-চুক্তিৰ কাৰণে যিহোৱাই দায়ূদৰ বংশক বিনষ্ট নকৰিলে; তেওঁক আৰু তেওঁৰ সন্তান সকলক চিৰকাললৈকে এক জীৱন দিম বুলি তেওঁ প্ৰতিজ্ঞা কৰিছিল৷
Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a lamp to him and to his children alway.
8 ৮ তেওঁৰ ৰাজত্বৰ সময়ত ইদোমীয়া লোকসকলে যিহূদাৰ অধীনত থাকিবলৈ অস্বীকাৰ কৰি নিজৰ ওপৰত এজন ৰজা পাতি লৈছিল।
In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.
9 ৯ তেতিয়া যিহোৰামে তেওঁৰ সেনাপতিসকলৰ সৈতে সকলো ৰথ লগত লৈ যাত্ৰা কৰিলে৷ তাতে তেওঁ ৰাতিয়েই উঠি তেওঁক আৰু তেওঁৰ ৰথৰ সেনাপতিসকলক বেৰি ধৰা ইদোমীয়াসকলক প্ৰহাৰ কৰিলে।
Then Jehoram passed over with his captains, and all his chariots with him: and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots.
10 ১০ এইদৰে ইদোমীয়াসকল আজিলৈকে যিহূদাৰ অধীনত থাকিবলৈ অস্বীকাৰ কৰি সদায় বিদ্ৰোহ কৰি থাকিল৷ সেই একে সময়তে লিব্নায়ো তেওঁৰ অধীনত থাকিবলৈ অস্বীকাৰ কৰি বিদ্ৰোহ আচৰণ কৰিলে, কিয়নো যিহোৰামে তেওঁৰ পূর্ব-পুৰুষসকলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাক ত্যাগ কৰিছিল।
So Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, unto this day: then did Libnah revolt at the same time from under his hand: because he had forsaken the LORD, the God of his fathers.
11 ১১ আনকি যিহোৰামে যিহূদাৰ পৰ্বতসমূহত পবিত্ৰ ঠাইবোৰ স্থাপন কৰিলে; তেওঁ যিৰূচালেম নিবাসীসকলক ব্যভিচাৰ কৰালে৷ এইদৰে তেওঁ যিহূদাক অপথে নিলে।
Moreover he made high places in the mountains of Judah, and made the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, and led Judah astray.
12 ১২ পাছত যিহোৰামলৈ এলিয়া ভাববাদীৰ পৰা এখন পত্ৰ আহিল৷ তাত এইদৰে কৈছিল, “তোমাৰ ওপৰ পিতৃ দায়ূদৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে: তুমি তোমাৰ পিতৃ যিহোচাফটৰ পথত বা যিহূদাৰ আচা ৰজাৰ পথত নচলিলা,
And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah;
13 ১৩ কিন্তু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাসকলৰ পথত চলিলা আৰু আহাবৰ বংশই কৰা নিচিনাকৈ যিহূদাক আৰু যিৰূচালেমৰ নিবাসীসকলক ব্যভিচাৰীৰ দৰে আচৰণ কৰিবলৈ দিলা - আৰু তোমাতকৈ উত্তম তোমাৰ পিতৃ-বংশৰ যি ভাইসকল, তেওঁলোককো তৰোৱালেৰে বধ কৰিলা -
but hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like as the house of Ahab did; and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father’s house, which were better than thyself:
14 ১৪ চোৱা, এই কাৰণে যিহোৱাই তোমাৰ প্ৰজা, তোমাৰ সন্তান সকলক, তোমাৰ পত্নীসকলক আৰু তোমাৰ সকলো সম্পত্তি এটা ভয়ংকৰ মহামাৰীৰে আঘাত কৰিব৷
behold, the LORD will smite with a great plague thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy substance:
15 ১৫ তুমি নিজেও নাড়ীৰ ৰোগত দিনে দিনে অতিশয় বেদনা পাবা; শেষত সেই ৰোগতে তোমাৰ নাড়ী-ভুৰু ওলাই পৰিব।”
and thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness, day by day.
And the LORD stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians which are beside the Ethiopians:
17 ১৭ তাতে তেওঁলোকে যিহূদাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে আহি গড় ভংগ কৰি, ৰাজ-গৃহত পোৱা সকলো সম্পত্তিবোৰ লৈ গ’ল৷ আনকি তেওঁলোকে তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰসকল আৰু লগতে তেওঁৰ পত্নীসকলকো লৈ গ’ল৷ তাতে তেওঁৰ কনিষ্ঠ পুত্ৰ যিহোৱাহজৰ বাহিৰে তেওঁৰ এটাও পুত্ৰ অৱশিষ্ট নাথাকিল।
and they came up against Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the king’s house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons.
And after all this the LORD smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease.
19 ১৯ তাতে কালক্ৰমে দুবছৰৰ পাছত তেওঁৰ নাড়ী-ভুৰু সেই ৰোগত ওলাই পৰিল আৰু তেওঁৰ অতিশয় যাতনাৰে মৃত্যু হ’ল৷। তেওঁৰ পূর্ব-পুৰুষসকলৰ কাৰণে যেনেকৈ সুগন্ধি বস্তু জ্বলাইছিল, তেনেকৈ তেওঁৰ প্ৰজাসকলে তেওঁৰ কাৰণে নকৰিলে।
And it came to pass, in process of time, at the end of two years, that his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness, and he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.
20 ২০ তেওঁ বত্ৰিশ বছৰ বয়সত ৰাজত্ৱ আৰম্ভ কৰিছিল; তেওঁ যিৰূচালেমত আঠ বছৰ ৰাজত্ব কৰিছিল; তেওঁৰ মৃত্যু হোৱাত কাৰো মনত দুখ নালাগিল৷ লোকসকলে তেওঁক দায়ূদৰ নগৰত মৈদাম দিলে, কিন্তু ৰজাসকলৰ ৰাজকীয় মৈদামৰ ঠাইত নিদিলে।
Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years: and he departed without being desired; and they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings.
