1 ১ তাৰ পাছত তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ যিহোচাফটে তেওঁৰ পদত ৰজা হৈ, ইস্ৰায়েলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে সবল হ’বলৈ নিজকে বলৱান কৰিলে।
And Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead, and strengthened himself against Israel.
2 ২ তেওঁ গড়েৰে আবৃত যিহূদাৰ আটাইবোৰ সুসজ্জিত নগৰত সেনা-বাহিনী ৰাখিলে আৰু যিহূদা দেশত আৰু তেওঁৰ পিতৃ আচাই অধিকাৰ কৰি লোৱা ইফ্ৰয়িমৰ নগৰবোৰত সৈন্যদল বহুৱাই সুৰক্ষিত কৰি ৰাখিলে।
And he placed forces in all the fenced cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.
3 ৩ যিহোৱা যিহোচাফটৰ লগত আছিল, কিয়নো তেওঁ নিজ ওপৰ পিতৃ দায়ূদৰ প্ৰথম কালৰ পথত চলি বাল দেৱতাবোৰলৈ ঘূৰা নাছিল৷
And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto the Baalim;
4 ৪ কিন্তু তাৰ পৰিৱর্তে তেওঁৰ পৈতৃক ঈশ্বৰক বিচাৰিলে আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ দৰে আচৰণ নকৰি তেওঁৰ সকলো আজ্ঞা অনুসাৰে চলিলে।
but sought to the God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.
5 ৫ এই হেতুকে যিহোৱাই তেওঁৰ হাতত ৰাজ্য স্থাপিত কৰিলে; আৰু গোটেই যিহূদাই যিহোচাফটলৈ উপহাৰ আনিলে; আৰু তেওঁৰ ধন ও সন্মান অতি অধিক হ’ল।
Therefore the LORD stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.
6 ৬ তেওঁ যিহোৱাৰ পথত মন দৃঢ় কৰিলে৷ তাত বাজে তেওঁ যিহূদাৰ মাজৰ পৰা পবিত্ৰ ঠাইবোৰ আৰু আচেৰা মূৰ্ত্তিবোৰ গুচালে।
And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: and furthermore he took away the high places and the Asherim out of Judah.
7 ৭ তেওঁ নিজৰ ৰাজত্বৰ তৃতীয় বছৰত বিনহয়িল, ওবদিয়া, জখৰিয়া, নথনেল আৰু মীখায়াক, যিকেইজন তেওঁৰ প্ৰধান লোক আছিল, তেওঁলোকক যিহূদাৰ নগৰবোৰত শিক্ষা দিবৰ বাবে পঠিয়াই দিলে৷
Also in the third year of his reign he sent his princes, even Ben-hail, and Obadiah, and Zechariah, and Nethanel, and Micaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah;
8 ৮ আৰু তেওঁলোকে সৈতে চময়িয়া, নথনিয়া, জবদিয়া, অচাহেল, চমীৰামোৎ, যিহোনাথন, অদোনীয়া, টোবিয়া আৰু টোব অদোনীয়া, এই লেবীয়াসকলক আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ লগত ইলীচামা আৰু যিহোৰাম পুৰোহিতক পঠিয়ালে।
and with them the Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tob-adonijah, the Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, the priests.
9 ৯ তাতে তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাৰ ব্যৱস্থা-পুস্তকখন লগত লৈ যিহূদাত শিক্ষা দিবলৈ ধৰিলে৷ আৰু তেওঁলোকে যিহূদাৰ সকলো নগৰতে ফুৰি লোকসকলৰ মাজত শিক্ষা দিলে।
And they taught in Judah, having the book of the law of the LORD with them; and they went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught among the people.
10 ১০ তেতিয়া যিহূদাৰ চাৰিওফালে থকা দেশৰ সকলো ৰাজ্যৰ ৰাজতন্ত্ৰত যিহোৱাৰ পৰা এনে প্ৰচণ্ড ভয় হ’ল যে তেওঁলোকে যিহোচাফটৰ বিৰুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ নকৰিলে।
And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.
11 ১১ আৰু পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ কিছুমান লোকে যিহোচাফটলৈ উপহাৰ আৰু কৰ হিচাপে ৰূপ আনিলে৷ আৰবীয়া লোকেও তেওঁলৈ পশুৰ জাক অৰ্থাৎ সাতশ মতা ভেড়া আৰু সাত হাজাৰ সাতশ ছাগলী আনিলে।
And some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and silver for tribute; the Arabians also brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he-goats.
And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles and cities of store.
13 ১৩ যিহূদাৰ নগৰবোৰৰ মাজত তেওঁৰ অনেক যোগান আছিল আৰু যিৰূচালেমত তেওঁৰ পৰাক্ৰমী যুদ্ধাৰু বীৰ পুৰুষসকল আছিল।
And he had many works in the cities of Judah; and men of war, mighty men of valour, in Jerusalem.
14 ১৪ তেওঁলোকৰ পিতৃ-বংশ অনুসাৰে তেওঁলোকৰ তালিকা এনে ধৰণে: যিহূদাৰ সহস্ৰপতিসকলৰ মাজত আদান প্ৰদান আছিল; আৰু তেওঁৰ লগত তিনি লাখ পৰাক্ৰমী বীৰপুৰুষ আছিল;
And this was the numbering of them according to their fathers’ houses: of Judah, the captains of thousands; Adnah the captain, and with him mighty men of valour three hundred thousand:
and next to him Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred and fourscore thousand:
16 ১৬ তেওঁৰ পাছত নিজকে ইচ্ছামনেৰে উৎসৰ্গ কৰা জিখ্ৰীৰ পুত্ৰ অমচিয়া; তেওঁৰ লগত দুই লাখ পৰাক্ৰমী বীৰ পুৰুষ আছিল৷
and next to him Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto the LORD; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valour:
And of Benjamin; Eliada a mighty man of valour, and with him two hundred thousand armed with bow and shield:
and next to him Jehozabad, and with him an hundred and fourscore thousand ready prepared for war.
19 ১৯ এওঁলোকে ৰজাৰ পৰিচৰ্যা কৰিছিল আৰু এওঁলোকৰ বাহিৰেও ৰজাই যিহূদাৰ সকলো ফালে গড়েৰে আবৃত নগৰবোৰত সেনাপতিসকলক ৰাখিছিল।
These were they that waited on the king, beside those whom the king put in the fenced cities throughout all Judah.
