And it came to pass, that the ark of Yahweh was in the country of the Philistines, seven months.
2 ২ পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে পুৰোহিত আৰু মঙ্গল চোৱা সকলক মাতি আনি ক’লে, “আমি যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুকৰ বিষয়ে কি কৰিম? কওকচোন, আমি ইয়াক নিজৰ দেশলৈ কেনেকৈ পঠাম?”
Then called the Philistines for the priests and for the diviners, saying, What shall we do with the ark of Yahweh? Let us know, wherewith we shall send it to its own place.
3 ৩ তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “তোমালোকে বিনা উপহাৰেৰে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক নপঠাবা, কিন্তু যি কোনো উপায়ে দোষাৰ্থক উপহাৰ তেওঁৰ তালৈ পঠাই দিয়া, তেতিয়াহে তোমালোক সুস্থ হ’বা, আৰু তেওঁৰ হাত তোমালোকৰ পৰা কিয় দূৰ হোৱা নাই, তেতিয়াহে তোমালোকে বুজিবা।”
And they said—If ye are going to send away the ark of the God of Israel, do not send it away, empty, but ye must, surely return, to him, a guilt-offering, —then, shall ye be healed, and it shall be known to you, wherefore his hand would not turn away from you.
4 ৪ তেওঁলোকে সুধিলে, “অামি তেওঁলৈ কি দোষাৰ্থক উপহাৰ পঠাম?” তেওঁলোকে উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, “তোমালোকে পাঁচটা সোণৰ বিহ ফোঁহোৰা আকৃতিৰে সজা আৰু সোণৰ পাঁচোটা নিগনি দি পঠোৱা; পাঁচ নম্বৰটো পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ পাঁচ জন অধিপতিক বুজায়৷ কাৰণ, তোমালোক আৰু তোমালোকৰ অধিপতিসকল সেই একেই মহামাৰীত আক্ৰান্ত।
And they said—What shall be the guilt-offering, that we shall return to him? And they said—By the number of the lords of the Philistines, five tumours of gold, and five mice of gold, —for, one plague, was on you all, and on your lords.
5 ৫ এই হেতুকে তোমালোকে তোমালোকৰ বিহ ফোঁহোৰাৰ আৰু দেশ বিনষ্ট কৰা নিগনি আকৃতিৰে মুৰ্ত্তি নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰা, আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰক গৌৰৱান্বিত কৰা৷ তেওঁ তোমালোকৰ পৰা আৰু তোমালোকৰ দেৱতাবোৰৰ পৰা আৰু তোমালোকৰ দেশৰ পৰাও হয়তো নিজৰ ক্ৰোধ তেওঁ দূৰ কৰিব।
Wherefore ye shall make likenesses of your turnouts, and likenesses of your mice that are laying waste the land, and shall, give unto the, God of Israel, glory, —Peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your god, and from off your land.
6 ৬ মিচৰীয়া লোক আৰু ফৰৌণ ৰজাই যেনেকৈ তেওঁলোকৰ মন কঠিন কৰিছিল তেনেকৈ তোমালোকে কিয় মন কঠিন কৰিবা? তেওঁলোকৰ মাজত যেতিয়া তেওঁ অদ্ভুত কাৰ্য কৰিছিল, তেতিয়া জানো তেওঁলোকক এৰি দিয়া নাছিল? তাৰ পাছত তেওঁলোক গুছি গ’ল৷
Wherefore, then, should ye make your heart dull, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh made their heart dull! When he had done his great doings upon them, did they not let them go, and they departed?
7 ৭ এই হেতুকে এতিয়া কাঠ লৈ এখন নতুন ৰথ সাজা আৰু কান্ধত যুৱলি নোলোৱা দুজনী খীৰঁতী গাই গৰু আনি ৰথত লগোৱা আৰু সিহঁতৰ পোৱালি সিহঁতৰ পৰা আঁতৰাই ঘৰলৈ লৈ যাবা।
Now, therefore, take and get ready, one new waggon, and two milch kine, whereon hath never come yoke, —then shall ye fasten the kine in the waggon, and withdraw their calves from them, into the shed;
8 ৮ তাৰ পাছত যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক সেই ৰথৰ ওপৰত তুলি দিবা; আৰু যি সোণৰ বস্তুবোৰ দোষাৰ্থক উপহাৰৰ অৰ্থে প্ৰস্তুত কৰিছিলা, সেইবোৰ এটা বাকচত ভৰাই নিয়ম-চন্দুকৰ কাষত থৈ পঠিয়াই দিবা আৰু সেই নিয়ম-চন্দুকক নিজ বাটে যাব দিবা।
and ye shall take the ark of Yahweh, and place it in the waggon, also, the jewels of gold which ye send back to him as a guilt-offering, shall ye put into a coffer, at the side thereof, —so shall ye let it go, and it shall depart.
9 ৯ তাৰ পাছত লক্ষ্য কৰিবা, সেই ৰথ যদি নিজে বৈৎচেমচ নগৰলৈ যায়, তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই যে এনে মহামাৰী ঘটালে সেই বিষয়ে বুজিবা; আৰু যদি নাযায়, তেন্তে আমাক প্ৰহাৰ কৰা জন তেওঁ নহয় বুলি আমি জানিম; কিন্তু ইয়াৰ পৰিৱৰ্ত্তে ঘটনাক্ৰমেহে আমালৈ এই সকলো ঘটিল।”
Then shall ye look—if, by the way of its own boundary, it goeth up to Beth-shemesh, he, it was who caused us this great affliction, —but, if not, then shall we know that it was not, his hand, that smote us, a chance, it was, that befell us.
10 ১০ তাৰ পাছত লোকসকলে তেওঁলোকক যি দৰে কৈছিল, সেইদৰেই কৰিলে; খীৰঁতী গাই গৰু আনি ৰথত লগালে, আৰু সিহঁতৰ পোৱালি দুটাক ঘৰত বান্ধি হ’ল।
The men, therefore, did so, and took two milch kine, and fastened them in the waggon, —but, their calves, shut they up in the shed.
11 ১১ পাছত সিহঁতে যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক, সোণৰ নিগনি আৰু বিহ ফোঁহোৰাৰ আকৃতিৰে সজা বস্তুবোৰ বাকচত ভৰাই ৰথৰ ওপৰত তুলি দিলে।
And they put the ark of Yahweh, into the waggon, —also the coffer, with the mice of gold, and the likenesses of their tumours.
12 ১২ তাৰ পাছত সেই গৰু দুজনীয়ে বৈৎচেমচৰ দিশে হেম্বেলিয়াই হেম্বেলিয়াই গ’ল; সিহঁতে সোঁ-হাতে কি বাওঁ-হাতে নুঘূৰিলে; আৰু পলেষ্টীয়াসলকৰ অধিপতিসকলে বৈৎচেমচৰ সীমালৈকে সিহঁতৰ পাছে পাছে গ’ল।
And the kine went straight along the road, on the way to Beth-shemesh, yea, along the main highway, they went, lowing as they went, turning not aside, to the right hand or to the left. And, the lords of the Philistines, went along after them, as far as the bounds of Beth-shemesh.
13 ১৩ সেই সময়ত বৈৎচেমচ নিবাসীসকলে উপত্যকাত ঘেহুঁধান দাই থাকোঁতে, ওপৰলৈ মুৰ-দাঙি চাই নিয়ম-চন্দুকটো দেখি তেওঁলোকে আনন্দ কৰিলে।
Now, they of Beth-shemesh, were reaping their wheat-harvest in the vale, —so they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to meet it.
14 ১৪ ৰথখন বৈৎচেমচ নিবাসী যিহোচূৱাৰ পথাৰ পালে আৰু যি ঠাইত ডাঙৰ শিল এটা আছিল, সেই ঠাইতে ৰ’লহি৷ তাৰ পাছত তেওঁলোকে ৰথৰ কাঠ ফালি, গৰু দুজনীক হোমৰ অৰ্থে যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশ্য উৎসৰ্গ কৰিলে।
And, the waggon, entered into the field of Joshua, a man of Beth-shemesh, and stood still, there, where also, was a great stone, —so they clave into pieces the planks of the waggon, and, the kine, offered they up as an ascending-sacrifice, unto Yahweh.
15 ১৫ লেবীয়াসকলে যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক আৰু তাৰ লগত সোণৰ বস্তু থকা বাকচটো নমালে আৰু সেই ডাঙৰ শিলটোৰ ওপৰত ৰাখিলে। বৈৎচেমচৰ লোকসকলে সেইদিনাই যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশ্যে হোমবলি আৰু মঙ্গলাৰ্থক বলি উৎসৰ্গ কৰিলে।
And, the Levites, took down the ark of Yahweh, and the coffer that was with it, wherein were the jewels of gold, and put them upon the great stone, —and, the men of Beth-shemesh, caused to go up ascending-offerings and offered sacrifices, that day, unto Yahweh.
And, the five lords of the Philistines, saw it, —and returned unto Ekron, the same day.
17 ১৭ যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশ্যে পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে দোষাৰ্থক উপহাৰ ৰূপে পঠোৱা বিহ ফোঁহোৰাৰ আকৃতিৰে সজা সোণৰ বস্তুবোৰ, অচ্দোদৰ অৰ্থে এটা, গাজাৰ অৰ্থে এটা, অস্কিলোনৰ অৰ্থে এটা, গাতৰ অৰ্থে এটা আৰু ইক্ৰোণৰ অৰ্থে এটা আছিল৷
Now, these, are the golden boils which, the Philistines returned as a guilt-offering unto Yahweh, —For Ashdod, one, for Gaza, one, for Ashkelon, one, for Gath, one, for Ekron, one;
18 ১৮ আৰু গড়েৰে আবৃত হোৱা নগৰ হওক বা গাওঁ হওক, পাঁচজন অধিপতিৰ অধীনত পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ যিমান নগৰ আছিল, সিমান সোণৰ নিগনি আছিল; এই কথা যিহোৱাৰ চন্দুক যিহৰ ওপৰত ৰখা হৈছিল, সেই মহা-শিল ইয়াৰ সাক্ষী হৈ ৰ’ল; বৈৎচেমচীয়া যিহোচূৱাৰ পথাৰত সেই শিল আজিলৈকে আছে।
And the golden mice, by the number of all the cities of the Philistines, pertaining to the five lords, both fortified cities, and country villages, —yea, even the great meadow whereon they rested the ark of Yahweh, until this day, is in the field-land of Joshua, the man of Beth-shemesh.
19 ১৯ তেওঁ বৈৎচেমচৰ লোকসকলৰ মাজৰ কিছুমানক আঘাত কৰিলে; কাৰণ তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুকলৈ চাইছিল; সেয়ে তেওঁ সত্তৰজন মানুহক বধ কৰিছিল৷ যিহোৱাই কৰা মহা-প্ৰহাৰ দেখি তেওঁলোকে বিলাপ কৰিলে।
And, when he smote the men of Beth-shemesh, because they looked into the ark of Yahweh, yea smote of the people seventy men [and] fifty thousand men, the people mourned, for that Yahweh had smitten the people with a great smiting.
20 ২০ বৈৎচেমচৰ লোকসকলে ক’লে, “এই পবিত্ৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ সন্মুখত কোনে থিয় হ’ব পাৰিব? আৰু তেওঁ আমাৰ পৰা কাৰ ওচৰলৈ যাব?”
Then said the men of Beth-shemesh, Who is able to stand before Yahweh, this holy God? and, unto whom, shall he go up from us?
21 ২১ তেওঁলোকে কিৰিয়ৎ-যিয়াৰীম-নিবাসী লোকসকললৈ দূত পঠাই ক’লে, “পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক ওভোটাই আনিলে; তোমালোকে নামি আহি এই নিয়ম-চন্দুক তোমালোকৰ ওচৰলৈ লৈ যোৱা।
And they sent messengers unto the inhabitants of Kiriath-jearim, saying, —The Philistines have returned the ark of Yahweh, come down, fetch it up unto you.
