1 ১ তাৰ পাছত এনে ঘটনা ঘটিল যে, যিজ্ৰিয়েলীয়া নাবোতৰ এখন দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰী আছিল; আৰু সেই দ্রাক্ষাবাৰী যিজ্ৰিয়েলত চমৰিয়াৰ ৰজা আহাবৰ ৰাজ গৃহৰ ওচৰতে আছিল।
It happened after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, near the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.
2 ২ আহাবে নাবোতক ক’লে, “তোমাৰ দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰীখন মোক দিয়া, মই তাক শাকৰ বাৰী কৰিম, কাৰণ সেয়ে মোৰ ঘৰৰ ওচৰতে আছে; মই তাৰ সলনি তোমাক তাতকৈ উত্তম আন এখন দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰী দিম, বা যদি তুমি ইচ্ছা কৰা তেনেহলে তাৰ যি ৰূপ হ’ব, তাৰ মূল্যও তোমাক দিম।”
Ahab spoke to Naboth, saying, "Give me your vineyard, that I may have it for a vegetable garden, because it is near to my house; and I will give you for it a better vineyard than it. Or, if it seems good to you, I will give you its worth in money."
Naboth said to Ahab, "May the LORD forbid me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers to you."
4 ৪ তেতিয়া আহাবে খঙীয়াল আৰু অসন্তুষ্ট হৈ নিজ ৰাজ-গৃহলৈ ঘূৰি আহিল; কিয়নো যিজ্ৰিয়েলীয়া নাবোতে তেওঁক এই কথাষাৰেৰে উত্তৰ দিছিল বোলে, “মই মোৰ পৈতৃক সম্পত্তি আপোনাক নিদিওঁ।” তেওঁ নিজ শয্যাত বাগৰ দি, মুখ ঘূৰাই, অনাহাৰে থাকিল।
Ahab came into his house sullen and angry because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him; for he had said, "I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers." He laid himself down on his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.
5 ৫ তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ পত্নী ঈজেবলে তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ আহি তেওঁক ক’লে, “তুমি যে আহাৰ গ্ৰহন কৰা নাই, তোমাৰ মনত এনে কি বেজাৰ আছে?”
But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said to him, "Why is your spirit so sad, that you eat no bread?"
6 ৬ এনেতে ৰজাই তেওঁক ক’লে, “মই যিজ্ৰিয়েলীয়া নাবোতক কৈছিলোঁ, ‘তোমাৰ দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰীখন মোলৈ বিক্ৰী কৰি দিয়া, বা তুমি যদি সন্তুষ্ট হোৱা তেনেহলে তাৰ সলনি মই তোমাক আন এখন দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰীও দিম।’ তেতিয়া তেওঁ মোক উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, ‘মই মোৰ দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰী আপোনাক নিদিওঁ’।”
He said to her, "Because I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite, and said to him, 'Give me your vineyard for money; or else, if it pleases you, I will give you another vineyard for it.' He answered, 'I will not give you my vineyard.'"
7 ৭ তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ পত্নী ঈজেবলে তেওঁক ক’লে, “তুমিয়েই জানো এতিয়াও ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত ৰাজত্ৱ নকৰা? উঠা আৰু ভোজন কৰা; তোমাৰ মন আনন্দিত হওঁক। যিজ্ৰিয়েলীয়া নাবোতৰ দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰী মই তোমাৰ কৰিম।”
Jezebel his wife said to him, "Do you now govern the kingdom of Israel? Arise, and eat bread, and let your heart be merry. I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite."
8 ৮ পাছত ঈজেবলে আহাবৰ নামেৰে পত্ৰ লিখি তেওঁৰ মোহৰেৰে মোহৰ মাৰি, নাবোতৰ নগৰত বাস কৰা বৃদ্ধ লোকসকললৈ, তেওঁৰ সৈতে সভাত বহা প্ৰধান লোকসকল আৰু তেওঁৰ ওচৰ-চুবুৰীয়া সকলৰ ওচৰলৈ সেই পত্ৰবোৰ পঠিয়াই দিলে।
So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters to the elders and to the nobles who were in his city, who lived with Naboth.
9 ৯ তাই পত্ৰবোৰত এই কথা লিখিছিল, “তোমালোকে উপবাস প্ৰচাৰ কৰা; আৰু লোকসকলৰ মাজত নাবোতক ওখ পদত ঠাই দিয়া;
She wrote in the letters, saying, "Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.
10 ১০ তেওঁৰ লগত দুজন অসৎ লোককো ঠাই দিয়া যেন সেই দুজন লোকে তেওঁৰ অহিতে সাক্ষ্য দি কয় বোলে, ‘তুমি ঈশ্বৰক আৰু ৰজাক শাও দিলা’।” তাৰ পাছত তোমালোকে তেওঁক বাহিৰলৈ উলিয়াই আনি তেওঁক শিল দলিয়াই বধ কৰা।
Set two men, base fellows, before him, and let them testify against him, saying, 'You cursed God and the king.' Then carry him out, and stone him to death."
11 ১১ তেতিয়া নাবোতৰ নগৰৰ লোকসকলে, অৰ্থাৎ সেই নগৰবাসী বৃদ্ধ আৰু প্ৰধান লোকসকলে, ঈজেবলে তেওঁলোকলৈ পত্রবোৰত লিখি পঠিওৱাৰ দৰে, সেই লোকসকলে পত্ৰত লিখা আজ্ঞা অনুসাৰে কাৰ্য কৰিলে।
The men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who lived in his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, according as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them.
They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.
13 ১৩ আৰু সেই অসৎ লোক দুজনে প্রৱেশ কৰি তেওঁৰ আগত বহিল। তেতিয়া সেই লোক দুজনে নাবোতৰ বিৰুদ্ধে লোকসকলৰ আগত এই সাক্ষ্য দি ক’লে বোলে, “নাবোতে ঈশ্বৰক আৰু ৰজাকো শাও দিলে।” তেতিয়া লোকসকলে তেওঁক নগৰৰ বাহিৰলৈ উলিয়াই আনিলে, আৰু শিল দলিয়াই তেওঁক বধ কৰিলে।
The two men, the base fellows, came in and sat before him. The base fellows testified against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, "Naboth cursed God and the king." Then they carried him out of the city, and stoned him to death with stones.
14 ১৪ তাৰ পাছত সেই বৃদ্ধ লোকসকলে ঈজেবলৰ ওচৰলৈ মানুহ পঠিয়াই কোৱালে বোলে, “নাবোতলৈ শিল দলিওৱাত, তেওঁৰ মৃত্যু হ’ল।”
Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, "Naboth has been stoned, and is dead."
15 ১৫ তেতিয়া নাবোতলৈ শিল দলিওৱাত, তেওঁৰ মৃত্যু হোৱাৰ কথা শুনা মাত্রকে ঈজেবলে আহাবক ক’লে, “উঠা, যিজ্ৰিয়েলীয়া নাবোতে যি দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰী তোমাক বিক্রী কৰিবলৈ অসন্মত আছিল, তাক অধিকাৰ কৰাগৈ; কিয়নো নাবোত জীয়াই থকা নাই, তেওঁৰ মৃত্যু হ’ল।
It happened, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, "Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give you for money; for Naboth is not alive, but dead."
16 ১৬ যেতিয়া আহাবে নাবোতৰ মৃত্যু হোৱাৰ কথা শুনিলে তেতিয়া তেওঁ উঠি যিজ্ৰিয়েলীয়া নাবোতৰ দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰীখন অধিকাৰ কৰিবলৈ নামি গ’ল।
It happened, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.
The word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,
18 ১৮ “উঠা, চমৰিয়া-নিবাসী ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজা আহাবৰ লগত সাক্ষ্য কৰিবলৈ যোৱা। তেওঁ নাবোতৰ দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰীত আছে; তেওঁ তাক অধিকাৰ কৰিবলৈ সেই ঠাইলৈ গ’ল।
"Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who dwells in Samaria. Look, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, where he has gone down to take possession of it.
19 ১৯ তুমি তেওঁৰ আগত এই কথা ক’বা, যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে, ‘তুমি নৰ-বধ কৰি উত্তৰাধীকাৰ লৈছা নে?’ আৰু তুমি তেওঁক ক’বা, যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে, ‘যি ঠাইত কুকুৰবোৰে নাবোতৰ তেজ চেলেকি খালে, সেই ঠাইতে কুকুৰবোৰে তোমাৰো তেজ চেলেকি খাব। হয়, তোমাৰো তেজ চেলেকি খাব’।”
You shall speak to him, saying, 'Thus says the LORD, "Have you killed and also taken possession?"' You shall speak to him, saying, 'Thus says the LORD, "In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth, dogs will lick your blood, even yours."'"
20 ২০ তেতিয়া আহাবে এলিয়াক কলে, “হে মোৰ শত্ৰু, তুমি মোক বিচাৰি পালা নে?” তেতিয়া তেওঁ ক’লে, “হয়, মই তোমাক বিচাৰি পালোঁ, কিয়নো যিহোৱাৰ দৃষ্টিত যি পাপ, তুমি তাকে কৰিবলৈ নিজকে বেচি দিলা।
And Ahab said to Elijah, "Have you found me, my enemy?" And he answered, "I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do that which is evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
21 ২১ যিহোৱাই তোমাক এই কথা কৈছে: মই তোমালৈ অমঙ্গল ঘটাম আৰু তোমাক সম্পূৰ্ণৰূপে ধংস কৰিম আৰু তোমাৰ সম্বন্ধীয়া প্ৰতিজন পুৰুষক বা ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মাজত বন্দী বা মুক্ত অৱস্থাত থকা দুয়োকে উচ্ছন্ন কৰিম।
Thus says the LORD, 'Look, I will bring disaster on you, and will utterly sweep you away and will cut off from Ahab everyone, slave or free in Israel.
22 ২২ আৰু যি অসন্তোসজনক কাৰ্যবোৰেৰে তুমি মোৰ ক্রোধ উত্তেজিত কৰিলা আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলক পাপ কৰোৱালা, সেই কাৰণে মই তোমাৰ বংশ, নবাটৰ পুত্র যাৰবিয়ামৰ বংশ আৰু অহিয়াৰ পুত্র বাচাৰ বংশৰ দৰে কৰিম।’
I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah for the provocation with which you have provoked me to anger, and have made Israel to sin.'"
The LORD also spoke of Jezebel, saying, "The dogs shall eat Jezebel in the district of Jezreel.
24 ২৪ আহাবৰ বংশৰ যি জন লোকৰ যেতিয়া নগৰত মৃত্যু হ’ব- তেওঁক কুকুৰবোৰে খাব। আৰু যি জন লোকৰ নগৰৰ বাহিৰত মৃত্যু হ’ব, তেওঁক আকাশৰ চৰাইবোৰে খাব।”
The dogs will eat he who dies of Ahab in the city; and the birds of the sky will eat he who dies in the field."
25 ২৫ কিন্তু যি জনক নিজ পত্নী ঈজেবলে উত্তেজিত কৰাই যিহোৱাৰ দৃষ্টিত কু-আচৰণ কৰিবলৈ নিজকে বেচিলে, সেই আহাবৰ দৰে কোনো এজন লোক নাছিল।
But there was none like Ahab, who sold himself to do that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.
26 ২৬ আৰু যিহোৱাই যি ইমোৰীয়াসকলক ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলৰ সন্মুখৰ পৰা দূৰ কৰিলে, তেওঁলোকৰ সকলো কৰ্মৰ দৰে, তেওঁ প্ৰতিমাবোৰৰ পাছত চলোঁতা হৈ অতিশয় ঘিণলগীয়া কাৰ্য কৰিলে।
He did very abominably in following idols, according to all that the Amorites did, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
27 ২৭ যেতিয়া আহাবে এইবোৰ কথা শুনিলে, তেতিয়া তেওঁ নিজৰ কাপোৰ ফালিলে আৰু গাত চট কাপোৰ পিন্ধি লঘোন দিলে আৰু চটত শয়ন কৰি অতি দুখী হ’ল।
It happened, when Ahab heard those words, that he tore his clothes, and put sackcloth on his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.
The word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,
29 ২৯ “আহাবে মোৰ দৃষ্টিত কেনেকৈ নিজকে নম্ৰ কৰিছে, সেই বিষয়ে তুমি দেখিছা নে? কিয়নো তেওঁ মোৰ আগত নিজকে নম্ৰ কৰিলে, এই হেতুকে মই তেওঁৰ আয়ুসৰ কালত সেই অমঙ্গল নঘটাম, কিন্তু তেওঁৰ পুত্রৰ দিনত তেওঁৰ বংশলৈ সেই অমঙ্গল ঘটাম।”
"See how Ahab humbles himself before me? Because he humbles himself before me, I will not bring the disaster in his days; but in his son's days will I bring the disaster on his house."
