1 ১ তাৰ পাছত তূৰৰ ৰজা হীৰমে দায়ুদৰ ওচৰলৈ বাৰ্তাবহক পঠালে, আৰু তেওঁৰ বাবে এটা গৃহ নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰিবলৈ এৰচ কাঠ, কাঠমিস্ত্রী, আৰু ৰাজমিস্ত্ৰীসকলক পঠালে।
And Huram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar-trees, and masons, and carpenters, to build him a house.
2 ২ দায়ূদে বুজিলে যে, যিহোৱাই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত তেওঁক ৰজা অভিষিক্ত কৰিলে, আৰু তেওঁৰ ৰাজ্য ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলৰ বাবে উন্নতিৰ শিখৰলৈ গ’ল।
And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, for his kingdom was exalted exceedingly, for His people Israel's sake.
And David took more wives at Jerusalem; and David begot more sons and daughters.
And these are the names of the children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon;
and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpelet;
and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia;
and Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
8 ৮ দায়ূদক সমস্ত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত ৰজা স্ৱৰূপে অভিষেক কৰাৰ কথা যেতিয়া পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে শুনিলে, তেতিয়া তেওঁলোক সকলোৱে দায়ূদক চাবলৈ ওলাই গ’ল। কিন্তু দায়ূদে এইকথা শুনি তেওঁলোকৰ বিৰুদ্ধে ওলাই গ’ল।
And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went out to meet them.
Now the Philistines had come and made a raid in the valley of Rephaim.
10 ১০ তেতিয়া দায়ূদে সহায়ৰ বাবে যিহোৱাক সুধিলে। তেওঁ ক’লে, “মই পলেষ্টীয়াসকলক আক্রমণ কৰিব লাগে নে? আপুনি মোক তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰত জয়ী হব দিব নে?” যিহোৱাই তেওঁক ক’লে, “আক্রমণ কৰা, কাৰণ মই নিশ্চয়ে তোমাক তেওঁলোকক দিম।”
And David inquired of God, saying: 'Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt Thou deliver them into my hand?' And the LORD said unto him: 'Go up; for I will deliver them into thy hand.'
11 ১১ সেয়ে তেওঁলোক বালপৰাচীমলৈ আহিল, আৰু দায়ূদে তেওঁলোকক তাত পৰাজয় কৰিলে। তেওঁ মন্তব্য কৰিছিল, “ঈশ্বৰে মোৰ হাতৰ দ্বাৰাই মোৰ শত্রুবোৰক বানপানীয়ে ভেটা ভঙাৰ দৰে ভাঙিলে।” সেয়ে এই ঠাইৰ নাম বাল-পৰাচীম হ’ল।
So they came up to Baal-perazim, and David smote them there; and David said: 'God hath broken mine enemies by my hand, like the breach of waters.' Therefore they called the name of that place Baal-perazim.
And they left their gods there; and David gave commandment, and they were burned with fire.
And the Philistines yet again made a raid in the valley.
14 ১৪ সেয়ে দায়ূদে পুনৰ সহায়ৰ বাবে ঈশ্ৱৰক সুধিলে, ঈশ্বৰে তেওঁক ক’লে, “তুমি তেওঁলোকক সন্মুখৰ পৰা আক্রমণ নকৰিবা, কিন্তু তাৰ পৰিবৰ্তে তেওঁলোকৰ পাছফালে আগুৰি ধৰিবা আৰু বালছম কাঠনিৰ মাজেদি তেওঁলোকৰ ওচৰলৈ আহিবা।
And David inquired again of God; and God said unto him: 'Thou shalt not go up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry-trees.
15 ১৫ যেতিয়া বালছম গছৰ ওপৰেৰে সৈন্য যোৱাৰ নিচিনা বতাহৰ শব্দ শুনিবা, তেতিয়া তুমি সজোৰে আক্রমণ কৰিবা। তুমি এইদৰে কৰিবা, কাৰণ পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ সৈন্যসকলক আক্রমণ কৰিবৰ অৰ্থে ঈশ্বৰ তোমাৰ আগত যাওঁতা হ’ব।
And it shall be, when thou hearest the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry-trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle; for God is gone out before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.'
16 ১৬ সেয়ে দায়ূদে ঈশ্বৰৰ আজ্ঞাৰ দৰে কাৰ্য কৰিলে। তেওঁ গিবিয়োনৰ পৰা গেজৰলৈকে পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ সৈন্যক পৰাজিত কৰিলে।
And David did as God commanded him; and they smote the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gezer.
17 ১৭ এইদৰে দায়ূদৰ সুখ্যাতি দেশৰ সকলো ফালে বিয়পি গ’ল, আৰু যিহোৱাই তেওঁৰ প্রতি সকলো দেশীয় লোকৰ ভয় জন্মালে।
And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.
