ՂՈԻԿԱՍ 19
1 Եւ Յիսուս մտել էր Երիքով ու շրջում էր:
And having entered, He was passing through Jericho,
2 Եւ ահա մի մարդ, Զակքէոս անունով, որ մաքսապետ էր ու մեծահարուստ,
and behold, a man, by name called Zaccheus, and he was a chief tax collector, and he was rich,
3 ուզում էր տեսնել, թէ ո՛վ է Յիսուս, բայց բազմութեան պատճառով չէր կարողանում, որովհետեւ կարճահասակ էր:
and he was seeking to see Jesus, who He is, and was not able for the multitude, because he was small in stature,
4 Եւ առաջ վազելով՝ բարձրացաւ ժանտաթզենու վրայ, որպէսզի տեսնի նրան, որովհետեւ նա հէնց այդտեղով էր անցնելու:
and having run forward before, he went up on a sycamore, that he may see Him, because through that [way] He was about to pass by.
5 Երբ այդ տեղը եկաւ, Յիսուս վեր նայեց եւ ասաց. «Զակքէո՛ս, շտապիր իջի՛ր այդտեղից, որովհետեւ այսօր պէտք է, որ ես քո տանը գիշերեմ»:
And as Jesus came up to the place, having looked up, He saw him and said to him, “Zaccheus, having hurried, come down, for it is necessary for Me to remain in your house today”;
6 Զակքէոսը շտապեց իջաւ եւ նրան ընդունեց ուրախութեամբ:
and he having hurried came down, and received Him rejoicing;
7 Երբ ամէնքը այս տեսան, տրտնջում էին եւ ասում, թէ մեղաւոր մարդու մօտ մտաւ գիշերելու:
and having seen [it], they were all murmuring, saying, “He went in to lodge with a sinful man!”
8 Իսկ Զակքէոսը եկաւ կանգնեց եւ ասաց Տիրոջը. «Տէ՛ր, ահա իմ ինչքերի կէսը կը տամ աղքատներին, եւ եթէ որեւէ մէկին զրկել եմ, քառապատիկ կը հատուցեմ»:
And Zaccheus having stood, said to the LORD, “Behold, half of my goods, Lord, I give to the poor, and if I took by false accusation anything of anyone, I give back fourfold.”
9 Եւ Յիսուս նրան ասաց. «Այսօր այս տան համար փրկութիւն եղաւ, քանի որ սա եւս Աբրահամի որդի է,
And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation came to this house, inasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham;
10 որովհետեւ մարդու Որդին եկաւ փնտռելու եւ փրկելու կորածին»:
for the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
11 Եւ մինչ նրանք լսում էին այս, Յիսուս մի առակ էլ աւելացրեց նրա համար, որ ինքը մօտենում էր Երուսաղէմին, եւ նրանք կարծում էին, թէ Աստծու արքայութիւնը շուտով յայտնուելու է:
And while they are hearing these things, having added He spoke an allegory, because of His being near to Jerusalem, and of their thinking that the Kingdom of God is immediately about to appear.
12 Նա ասաց. «Մի ազնուական մարդ գնաց հեռու աշխարհ՝ իր թագաւորութիւնը ստանալու եւ վերադառնալու համար:
He therefore said, “A certain man of birth went on to a far country, to take to himself a kingdom, and to return,
13 Եւ կանչելով իր ծառաներին՝ նրանց տասը մնաս տուեց եւ ասաց. «Շահարկեցէ՛ք դրանք, մինչեւ որ գամ»:
and having called ten servants of his own, he gave ten minas to them and said to them, Do business—until I come;
14 Բայց նրա համաքաղաքացիները ատում էին նրան. պատգամաւորներ ուղարկեցին նրա յետեւից եւ ասացին. «Մենք չենք կամենում, որ դա մեր վրայ թագաւորի»:
and his citizens were hating him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, We do not wish this one to reign over us.
15 Եւ ազնուականը վերադարձաւ՝ իր թագաւորութիւնն ստացած, եւ կանչեց այն ծառաներին, որոնց տուել էր դրամը, որպէսզի իմանայ, թէ ով ինչ էր շահել:
And it came to pass, on his coming back, having taken the kingdom, that he commanded these servants to be called to him, to whom he gave the money, that he might know what anyone had done in business.
16 Եկաւ առաջինը եւ ասաց. «Տէ՛ր, քո մէկ մնասը տասը մնաս բերեց»:
And the first came near, saying, Lord, your mina gained ten minas;
17 Եւ տէրը նրան ասաց. «Ազնիւ եւ բարի ծառայ, քանի որ այդ փոքր բանի մէջ հաւատարիմ եղար, իշխանութիւն ունեցիր տասը քաղաքների վրայ»:
and he said to him, Well done, good servant, because you became faithful in a very little, be having authority over ten cities.
18 Եկաւ երկրորդը եւ ասաց. «Քո մէկ մնասը հինգ մնաս բերեց»:
And the second came, saying, Lord, your mina made five minas;
19 Տէրը նրան ասաց. «Դու էլ՝ հինգ քաղաքների վրայ»:
and he also said to this one, And you, become [ruler] over five cities.
20 Միւսն էլ եկաւ եւ ասաց. «Տէ՛ր, ահա քո մնասը, որ թաշկինակի մէջ ծրարած պահում էի.
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, your mina, that I had lying away in a napkin;
21 վախենում էի քեզնից, որովհետեւ խիստ մարդ ես. վերցնում ես, ինչ որ չես դրել, եւ հնձում ես, ինչ որ չես սերմանել»:
for I was afraid of you, because you are an austere man; you take up what you did not lay down, and reap what you did not sow.
22 Եւ տէրը նրան ասաց. «Հէնց քո բերանով քեզ պիտի դատեմ, անհաւատարի՛մ ծառայ. գիտէիր, որ ես մի խիստ մարդ եմ, վերցնում եմ, ինչ որ չեմ դրել եւ հնձում եմ՝ ուր չեմ սերմանել:
And he says to him, Out of your mouth I will judge you, evil servant: you knew that I am an austere man, taking up what I did not lay down, and reaping what I did not sow!
23 Հապա ինչո՞ւ իմ դրամը լումայափոխներին չտուիր, որպէսզի ես, գալով, տոկոսներով միասին պահանջէի այն»:
And why did you not give my money to the bank, and I, having come, might have received it with interest?
24 Եւ սպասաւորներին ասաց. «Վերցրէ՛ք դրանից մէկ մնասը եւ տարէ՛ք տուէք նրան, ով տասը մնաս ունի»:
And to those standing by he said, Take the mina from him, and give to him having the ten minas—
25 Եւ ծառաները ասացին նրան. «Տէ՛ր, արդէն նա տասը մնաս ունի՛»:
(and they said to him, Lord, he has ten minas)—
26 - Ասում եմ ձեզ, թէ՝ «Ով որ ունի, նրան պիտի տրուի, իսկ նրանից, որ չունի, պիտի վերցուի եւ այն, ինչ որ ունի:
for I say to you that to everyone having will be given, and from him not having, also what he has will be taken from him,
27 Բայց իմ այն թշնամիներին, որոնք չէին կամենում, որ ես թագաւորեմ իրենց վրայ, բերէ՛ք այստեղ եւ սպանեցէ՛ք իմ առաջ»:
but those my enemies, who did not wish me to reign over them, bring here and slay before me.”
28 Եւ երբ այս ասաց, առաջ գնաց՝ Երուսաղէմ ելնելու համար:
And having said these things, He went on before, going up to Jerusalem.
29 Եւ երբ մօտեցաւ Բեթփագէին եւ Բեթանիային, այն լերան մօտ, որ կոչւում է Ձիթենեաց, ուղարկեց իր աշակերտներից երկուսին
And it came to pass, as He came near to Bethphage and Bethany, to that called the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples,
30 եւ ասաց. «Գնացէ՛ք այն գիւղը, որ մեր դիմացն է. երբ այնտեղ մտնէք, կը գտնէք կապուած մի աւանակ, որի վրայ ոչ մի մարդ երբեք չի նստել. արձակեցէ՛ք այն եւ բերէ՛ք:
having said, “Go away into the village in front of [you], in which, entering in, you will find a colt bound, on which no one of men ever sat, having loosed it, bring [it];
31 Եւ եթէ մէկը ձեզ հարցնի, թէ ինչու էք արձակում, նրան այսպէս ասացէք. «Իր տիրոջը պէտք է»:
and if anyone questions you, Why do you loose [it]? Thus you will say to him: The LORD has need of it.”
32 Երբ գնացին նրանք, որ ուղարկուել էին, գտան այնպէս, ինչպէս ասել էր նրանց. աւանակը կար:
And those sent, having gone away, found according as He said to them,
33 Եւ մինչ աւանակն արձակում էին, նրա տէրերը ասացին նրանց. «Աւանակն ինչո՞ւ էք արձակում»:
and while they are loosing the colt, its owners said to them, “Why do you loose the colt?”
34 Եւ աշակերտները ասացին. «Իր տիրոջը պէտք է»:
And they said, “The LORD has need of it”;
35 Եւ այն բերին Յիսուսի մօտ. զգեստներ գցեցին նրա վրայ եւ Յիսուսին նստեցրին:
and they brought it to Jesus, and having cast their garments on the colt, they sat Jesus on it.
36 Եւ մինչ նա առաջանում էր, մարդիկ իրենց զգեստները փռում էին ճանապարհի վրայ:
And as He is going, they were spreading their garments in the way,
37 Եւ երբ նա մօտեցաւ Ձիթենեաց լերան զառիվայրին, աշակերտների ամբողջ բազմութիւնը ուրախութեամբ եւ բարձրաձայն սկսեց օրհնել Աստծուն՝ կատարուած բոլոր զօրութիւնների համար, որ տեսան:
and as He is coming near now, at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began rejoicing to praise God with a great voice for all the mighty works they had seen,
38 Եւ ասում էին. «Օրհնեա՜լ է այդ թագաւորը, որ գալիս է Տիրոջ անունով. խաղաղութի՜ւն երկնքում եւ փա՜ռք բարձունքներում»:
saying, “Blessed [is] the King coming in the Name of the LORD; peace in Heaven, and glory in the highest!”
39 Իսկ փարիսեցիներից ոմանք ամբոխի միջից ասացին նրան. «Վարդապե՛տ, սաստի՛ր քո աշակերտներին»:
And certain of the Pharisees from the multitude said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples”;
40 Նա պատասխանեց եւ ասաց. «Ասում եմ ձեզ, որ եթէ դրանք լռեն էլ, այդ քարերը կ՚աղաղակեն»:
and He answering said to them, “I say to you that if these will be silent, the stones will cry out!”
41 Եւ երբ մօտեցաւ, տեսնելով քաղաքը՝ լաց եղաւ նրա վրայ եւ ասաց.
And when He came near, having seen the city, He wept over it,
42 «Գոնէ այս օրերին գիտենայի՜ր դու քո խաղաղութիւնը. բայց այժմ ծածկուեց քո տեսողութիւնից.
saying, “If you knew, even you, at least in this your day, the things for your peace; but now they were hid from your eyes.
43 որովհետեւ օրեր պիտի գան վրադ, երբ թշնամիներդ քո շուրջը պատնէշ պիտի կանգնեն եւ պիտի պաշարեն քեզ, պիտի նեղեն քեզ բոլոր կողմերից
Because days will come on you, and your enemies will cast a rampart around you, and surround you around, and press you on every side,
44 ու հիմնայատակ պիտի անեն քեզ եւ սպանեն քո մէջ քո որդիներին. եւ քարը քարի վրայ բնաւ չպիտի թողնեն, քանի որ քո այցելութեան ժամանակը չճանաչեցիր»:
and lay you low, and your children within you, and they will not leave in you a stone on a stone, because you did not know the time of your inspection.”
45 Եւ տաճար մտնելով՝ սկսեց դուրս հանել աղաւնեվաճառներին ու գնողներին եւ լումայափոխների սեղանները ցրեց
And having entered into the temple, He began to cast forth those selling in it, and those buying,
46 ու ասաց նրանց. «Գրուած է՝ «Իմ տունը պէտք է աղօթքի տուն լինի», իսկ դուք աւազակների որջերի էք վերածել այդ»:
saying to them, “It has been written, My house is a house of prayer—but you made it a den of robbers.”
47 Եւ նա ամէն օր նրանց ուսուցանում էր տաճարում, իսկ քահանայապետները, օրէնսգէտները եւ ժողովրդի գլխաւորները հնար էին փնտռում նրան կորստեան մատնելու,
And He was teaching daily in the temple, but the chief priests and the scribes were seeking to destroy Him—also the chiefs of the people—
48 բայց չէին գտնում, թէ ինչ անեն, որովհետեւ ամբողջ ժողովուրդը, նրանով տարուած, լսում էր նրան:
and they were not finding what they will do, for all the people were hanging on Him, hearing Him.
