ՅՈՎՀԱՆՆՈԻ 19
1 Այն ժամանակ Պիղատոսը հրամայեց Յիսուսին վերցնել եւ նրան գանակոծել:
Then Pilate took Jesus and had Him flogged.
2 Իսկ զինուորները փշէ պսակ շինելով՝ դրեցին նրա գլխին ու նրան ծիրանի զգեստ հագցրին:
The soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns, set it on His head, and dressed Him in a purple robe.
3 Եւ գալիս էին նրա մօտ ու ասում՝ ողջո՛յն, հրեաների՛ արքայ: Եւ նրան ապտակում էին:
And they went up to Him again and again, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and slapping Him in the face.
4 Պիղատոսը դարձեալ դուրս ելաւ ու ասաց նրանց. «Ահա նրան դուրս, ձեզ մօտ եմ բերում, որպէսզի իմանաք, թէ ես նրա մէջ որեւէ յանցանք չեմ գտնում»:
Once again Pilate came out and said to the Jews, “Look, I am bringing Him out to you to let you know that I find no basis for a charge against Him.”
5 Յիսուս դուրս ելաւ. եւ փշէ պսակ ունէր եւ ծիրանի զգեստ: Եւ նրանց ասաց. «Ահա ձեր մարդը՝ ձեզ»:
When Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe, Pilate said to them, “Here is the man!”
6 Երբ քահանայապետներն ու պահակները նրան տեսան, աղաղակ բարձրացրին եւ ասացին. «Խա՛չը հանիր, խա՛չը հանիր դրան»: Պիղատոսը նրանց ասաց. «Դո՛ւք առէք նրան ձեր մէջ եւ ինքնե՛րդ խաչը հանեցէք, քանի որ ես դրա մէջ որեւէ յանցանք չեմ գտնում»:
As soon as the chief priests and officers saw Him, they shouted, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!” “You take Him and crucify Him,” Pilate replied, “for I find no basis for a charge against Him.”
7 Հրեաները նրան պատասխանեցին. «Մենք օրէնք ունենք, եւ ըստ մեր օրէնքի պէտք է նա մեռնի, որովհետեւ իրեն Աստծու Որդի դարձրեց»:
“We have a law,” answered the Jews, “and according to that law He must die, because He declared Himself to be the Son of God.”
8 Երբ Պիղատոսը այս խօսքերը լսեց, աւելի եւս վախեցաւ:
When Pilate heard this statement, he was even more afraid,
9 Դարձեալ, մի անգամ եւս մտաւ ապարանքը եւ Յիսուսին ասաց՝ որտեղի՞ց ես դու: Եւ Յիսուս նրան պատասխան չտուեց:
and he went back into the Praetorium. “Where are You from?” he asked. But Jesus gave no answer.
10 Պիղատոսը նրան ասաց. «Ինձ հետ չե՞ս խօսում, չգիտե՞ս, որ իշխանութիւն ունեմ քեզ խաչը հանելու. եւ իշխանութիւն ունեմ քեզ ազատ արձակելու»:
So Pilate said to Him, “Do You refuse to speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You and authority to crucify You?”
11 Յիսուս պատասխանեց. «Դու իմ վրայ ոչ մի իշխանութիւն էլ չէիր ունենայ, եթէ քեզ ի վերուստ տրուած չլինէր. դրա համար էլ, ով ինձ քո ձեռքը մատնեց, նրա մեղքը աւելի մեծ է»:
Jesus answered, “You would have no authority over Me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed Me over to you is guilty of greater sin.”
12 Սրանից յետոյ Պիղատոսը ուզում էր նրան ազատ արձակել: Իսկ հրեաները աղաղակում էին ու ասում.
From then on, Pilate tried to release Him, but the Jews kept shouting, “If you release this man, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who declares himself a king is defying Caesar.”
13 «Եթէ դրան արձակես, կայսրին բարեկամ չես: Ամենայն ոք, որ ինքն իրեն թագաւոր է կոչում, հակառակ է կայսեր»:
When Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out and sat on the judgment seat at a place called the Stone Pavement, which in Hebrew is Gabbatha.
14 Իսկ երբ Պիղատոսը այս խօսքերը լսեց, Յիսուսին դուրս բերեց, նստեց բեմի վրայ, այն տեղը, որ Քարայատակ էր կոչւում, իսկ եբրայերէն՝ Կապպաթա:
It was the day of Preparation for the Passover, about the sixth hour. And Pilate said to the Jews, “Here is your King!”
15 Զատկի նախօրէն էր, եւ կէսօրուայ մօտ էր: Եւ նա հրեաներին ասաց. «Ահա ձեր թագաւորը՝ ձեզ»:
At this, they shouted, “Away with Him! Away with Him! Crucify Him!” “Shall I crucify your King?” Pilate asked. “We have no king but Caesar,” replied the chief priests.
16 Իսկ նրանք աղաղակում էին. «Վերացրո՛ւ մեր միջից, վերացրո՛ւ մեր միջից եւ խա՛չը հանիր նրան»: Պիղատոսը նրանց ասաց. «Ես ձեր թագաւորին խա՞չը հանեմ»: Քահանայապետները պատասխանեցին. «Չունենք մենք այլ թագաւոր, բացի կայսրից»:
Then Pilate handed Jesus over to be crucified, and the soldiers took Him away.
17 Այն ժամանակ Յիսուսին յանձնեց նրանց ձեռքը, որպէսզի խաչը հանուի:
Carrying His own cross, He went out to The Place of the Skull, which in Hebrew is called Golgotha.
18 Եւ նրանք առան Յիսուսին եւ տարան: Եւ խաչափայտը նա ինքն էր վերցրել եւ բարձրացնում էր այն տեղը, որի անունն էր Գագաթ, իսկ եբրայերէն կոչւում էր Գողգոթա,
There they crucified Him, and with Him two others, one on each side, with Jesus in the middle.
19 որտեղ եւ խաչը հանեցին նրան ու նրա հետ երկու ուրիշների՝ այս եւ այն կողմից, իսկ մէջտեղում՝ Յիսուսին:
Pilate also had a notice posted on the cross. It read: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
20 Պիղատոսը մի տախտակ էլ գրեց եւ դրեց խաչի վրայ. եւ գրուած էր. «Յիսուս Նազովրեցի՝ հրեաների թագաւոր»:
Many of the Jews read this sign, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek.
21 Այդ տախտակը հրեաներից շատերը կարդացին, որովհետեւ այն տեղը, ուր Յիսուս խաչուեց, քաղաքին մօտ էր (եւ գրուած էր եբրայերէն, լատիներէն եւ յունարէն):
So the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but only that He said, ‘I am the King of the Jews.’”
22 Հրեաների քահանայապետները Պիղատոսին ասացին. «Մի՛ գրիր՝ հրեաների թագաւոր, այլ՝ ինչ նա ասաց՝ թագաւոր եմ հրեաների»:
Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
23 Պիղատոսը պատասխանեց. «Ինչ գրեցի, գրեցի»:
When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they divided His garments into four parts, one for each soldier, with the tunic remaining. It was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom.
24 Իսկ զինուորները, երբ Յիսուսին խաչը հանեցին, վերցրին նրա զգեստները եւ չորս մաս արեցին. իւրաքանչիւր զինուորի՝ մէկ մաս: Իսկ քանի որ պատմուճանը առանց կարի էր, վերեւից ներքեւ ամբողջովին հիւսած շուրջանակի,
So they said to one another, “Let us not tear it. Instead, let us cast lots to see who will get it.” This was to fulfill the Scripture: “They divided My garments among them, and cast lots for My clothing.” So that is what the soldiers did.
25 ուստի միմեանց ասացին. «Այդ չպատռտենք, այլ դրա վրայ վիճակ գցենք, ում որ ելնի», որպէսզի կատարուի գրուածը, որ ասում է. «Իմ զգեստները բաժանեցին իրար մէջ եւ իմ պատմուճանի վրայ վիճակ գցեցին»: Զինուորներն այս բանն արեցին: ուստի միմեանց ասացին. «Այդ չպատռտենք, այլ դրա վրայ վիճակ գցենք, ում որ ելնի», որպէսզի կատարուի գրուածը, որ ասում է. «Իմ զգեստները բաժանեցին իրար մէջ եւ իմ պատմուճանի վրայ վիճակ գցեցին»: Զինուորներն այս բանն արեցին:
Near the cross of Jesus stood His mother and her sister, as well as Mary the wife of Clopas and Mary Magdalene.
26 Իսկ Յիսուսի խաչի մօտ կանգնած էին նրա մայրը եւ նրա մօրաքոյրը՝ Կղէոպասի կին Մարիամը եւ Մարիամ Մագդաղենացին:
When Jesus saw His mother and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, “Woman, here is your son.”
27 Երբ Յիսուս տեսաւ մօրը եւ այն աշակերտին, որ մօտ էր կանգնած, որին նա սիրում էր, մօրն ասաց. «Ո՛վ կին, ահա՛ քո որդին»:
Then He said to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” So from that hour, this disciple took her into his home.
28 Ապա աշակերտին ասաց. «Ահա՛ քո մայրը»: Եւ այդ պահից աշակերտը նրան իր մօտ առաւ:
After this, knowing that everything had now been accomplished, and to fulfill the Scripture, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.”
29 Այնուհետեւ Յիսուս, գիտենալով, թէ ահա ամէն ինչ կատարուած է, որպէսզի կատարուի գրուածը, ասաց՝ ծարաւ եմ:
A jar of sour wine was sitting there. So they soaked a sponge in the wine, put it on a stalk of hyssop, and lifted it to His mouth.
30 Եւ այնտեղ քացախով լի մի աման կար. զինուորները լեղախառն քացախով մի սպունգ թրջեցին եւ այն դրին եղէգի ծայրին ու մօտեցրին նրա բերանին:
When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished.” And bowing His head, He yielded up His spirit.
31 Երբ Յիսուս լեղախառն քացախը բերանն առաւ, ասաց.
It was the day of Preparation, and the next day was a High Sabbath. In order that the bodies would not remain on the cross during the Sabbath, the Jews asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies removed.
32 «Ամէն ինչ կատարուած է»: Եւ գլուխը կախելով՝ հոգին աւանդեց:
So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and those of the other.
33 Իսկ քանի որ ուրբաթ էր, որպէսզի մարմինները չմնան խաչի վրայ մինչեւ շաբաթ օրը, - որովհետեւ այն շաբաթը տօնական մեծ օր էր, - հրեայ առաջնորդները Պիղատոսին աղաչեցին, որ կոտրեն նրանց սրունքները եւ վերցնեն նրանց:
But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.
34 Զինուորները եկան եւ առաջինի սրունքները կոտրեցին, նոյնպէս եւ միւսինը, որ նրա հետ խաչ էր հանուել:
Instead, one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water flowed out.
35 Բայց երբ եկան Յիսուսի մօտ եւ տեսան, որ նա արդէն մեռած էր, նրա սրունքները չկոտրեցին,
The one who saw it has testified to this, and his testimony is true. He knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe.
36 այլ զինուորներից մէկը տէգով խոցեց նրա կողը, եւ իսկոյն արիւն եւ ջուր ելաւ:
Now these things happened so that the Scripture would be fulfilled: “Not one of His bones will be broken.”
37 Եւ ով այս բանը տեսաւ, վկայեց. եւ նրա վկայութիւնը ճշմարիտ է, եւ նա գիտէ, որ ճշմարիտ է ասում, որպէսզի դուք էլ հաւատաք:
And, as another Scripture says: “They will look on the One they have pierced.”
38 Այս պատահեց, որպէսզի կատարուի գրուածը, թէ՝ նրա ոսկորը չպիտի փշրուի:
Afterward, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus (but secretly for fear of the Jews), asked Pilate to let him remove the body of Jesus. Pilate gave him permission, so he came and removed His body.
39 Եւ դարձեալ միւս գրուածն ասում է. «Պիտի նայեն նրան, ում խոցեցին»:
Nicodemus, who had previously come to Jesus at night, also brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.
40 Այնուհետեւ Յովսէփը, որ արիմաթիացի էր եւ Յիսուսի թաքուն աշակերտն էր հրեաների վախի պատճառով, Պիղատոսին աղաչեց, որ Յիսուսի մարմինը վերցնի: Եւ Պիղատոսը հրաման տուեց. ուստի Յովսէփն ու Նիկոդեմոսը եկան եւ նրան վերցրին:
So they took the body of Jesus and wrapped it in linen cloths with the spices, according to the Jewish burial custom.
41 Նիկոդեմոսը, որ առաջին անգամ գիշերով Յիսուսի մօտ էր եկել, բերեց մօտ հարիւր լիտր զմուռս՝ հալուէի հետ խառնուած:
Now there was a garden in the place where Jesus was crucified, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.
42 Վերցրին Յիսուսի մարմինը եւ պատեցին կտաւներով՝ խնկերով հանդերձ, ինչպէս որ հրեաների սովորութիւնն էր՝ պատել: Եւ այն տեղում, ուր նա խաչուեց, պարտէզ կար. եւ այդ պարտէզում՝ մի նոր գերեզման, որի մէջ երբեք որեւէ մէկը չէր դրուած: Եւ քանի որ գերեզմանը մօտ էր, հրեաների ուրբաթի պատճառով, այնտե՛ղ դրեցին Յիսուսի մարմինը:
And because it was the Jewish day of Preparation and the tomb was nearby, they placed Jesus there.
