رُوما 5

١ 1 فَبِمَا أَنَّنَا قَدْ تَبَرَّرْنَا عَلَى أَسَاسِ الإِيمَانِ، صِرْنَا فِي سَلامٍ مَعَ اللهِ بِرَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ.

Because therfore that we are iustified by fayth we are at peace with god thorow oure Lorde Iesue Christ:

٢ 2 وَبِهِ أَيْضاً تَمَّ لَنَا الدُّخُولُ بِالإِيمَانِ إِلَى هذِهِ النِّعْمَةِ الَّتِي نُقِيمُ فِيهَا الآنَ؛ وَنَحْنُ نَفْتَخِرُ بِرَجَائِنَا فِي التَّمَتُّعِ بِمَجْدِ اللهِ.

by who we have awaye in thorow fayth vnto this grace wherin we stonde aud reioyce in hope of the prayse that shalbe geven of God.

٣ 3 لَيْسَ هَذَا فَقَطْ، بَلْ نَفْتَخِرُ أَيْضاً فِي وَسَطِ الضِّيقَاتِ، لِعِلْمِنَا أَنَّ الضِّيقَ يُنْتِجُ فِينَا الصَّبْرَ،

Nether do we so only: but also we reioyce in tribulacion. For we know that tribulacion bringeth pacience

٤ 4 وَالصَّبْرَ يُؤَهِّلُنَا لِلْفَوْزِ فِي الامْتِحَانِ، وَالْفَوْزَ يَبْعَثُ فِينَا الرَّجَاءَ،

pacience bringeth experience experience bringeth hope.

٥ 5 وَالرَّجَاءَ لَا يُخَيِّبُنَا، لأَنَّ اللهَ أَفَاضَ مَحَبَّتَهُ فِي قُلُوبِنَا بِالرُّوحِ الْقُدُسِ الَّذِي وَهَبَنَا إِيَّاهُ.

And hope maketh not ashamed for the love of God is sheed abrod in oure hertes by the holy goost which is geven vnto vs.

٦ 6 فَإِنَّهُ وَنَحْنُ بَعْدُ عَاجِزُونَ، مَاتَ الْمَسِيحُ عَنِ الْعُصَاةِ فِي الْوَقْتِ الْمُعَيَّنِ.

For when we were yet weake accordynge to ye tyme: Christ dyed for vs which were vngodly.

٧ 7 إِذْ قَلَّمَا يَمُوتُ أَحَدٌ فِدَى إِنْسَانٍ بَارٍّ، بَلْ قَدْ يَتَجَرَّأُ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يَمُوتَ فِدَى إِنْسَانٍ صَالِحٍ.

Yet scace will eny man dye for a rightewes man. Paraventure for a good ma durst a man dye.

٨ 8 وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ أَثْبَتَ لَنَا مَحَبَّتَهُ، إِذْ وَنَحْنُ مَازِلْنَا خَاطِئِينَ مَاتَ الْمَسِيحُ عِوَضاً عَنَّا.

But God setteth out his love that he hath to vs seinge that whyll we were yet synners Christ dyed for vs.

٩ 9 وَمَادُمْنَا الآنَ قَدْ تَبَرَّرْنَا بِدَمِهِ، فَكَمْ بِالأَحْرَى نَخْلُصُ بِهِ مِنَ الْغَضَبِ الآتِي!

Moche more then now (seynge we are iustifyed in his bloud) shall we be saved from wrath thorow him.

١٠ 10 فَإِنْ كُنَّا، وَنَحْنُ أَعْدَاءُ، قَدْ تَصَالَحْنَا مَعَ اللهِ بِمَوْتِ ابْنِهِ، فَكَمْ بِالأَحْرَى نَخْلُصُ بِحَيَاتِهِ وَنَحْنُ مُتَصَالِحُونَ!

For yf when we were enemyes we were reconciled to God by the deeth of his sonne: moche more seinge we are reconciled we shal be preservid by his lyfe.

١١ 11 وَلَيْسَ هَذَا فَقَطْ، بَلْ إِنَّنَا نَفْتَخِرُ أَيْضاً بِاللهِ، بِفَضْلِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ الَّذِي بِهِ نِلْنَا الْمُصَالَحَةَ الآنَ.

Not only so but we also ioye in God by the meanes of oure Lorde Iesus Christ by whom we have receavyd the attonment.

١٢ 12 وَلِهَذَا، فَكَمَا دَخَلَتِ الْخَطِيئَةُ إِلَى الْعَالَمِ عَلَى يَدِ إِنْسَانٍ وَاحِدٍ، وَبِدُخُولِ الْخَطِيئَةِ دَخَلَ الْمَوْتُ، هَكَذَا جَازَ الْمَوْتُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الْبَشَرِ، لأَنَّهُمْ جَمِيعاً أَخْطَأُوا.

Wherfore as by one ma synne entred into the worlde and deeth by the meanes of synne. And so deeth went over all men in somoche that all men synned.

١٣ 13 فَإِنَّ الْخَطِيئَةَ كَانَتْ مُنْتَشِرَةً فِي الْعَالَمِ قَبْلَ مَجِيءِ الشَّرِيعَةِ. إِلّا أَنَّ الْخَطِيئَةَ لَمْ تَكُنْ تُسَجَّلُ، لأَنَّ الشَّرِيعَةَ لَمْ تَكُنْ مَوْجُودَةً.

For even vnto the tyme of the lawe was synne in the worlde: but synne was not regarded as longe as ther was no lawe:

١٤ 14 أَمَّا الْمَوْتُ، فَقَدْ مَلَكَ مُنْذُ آدَمَ إِلَى مُوسَى، حَتَّى عَلَى الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَرْتَكِبُوا خَطِيئَةً شَبِيهَةً بِمُخَالَفَةِ آدَمَ، الَّذِي هُوَ رَمْزٌ لِلآتِي بَعْدَهُ.

neverthelesse deeth rayned fro Adam to Moses eve over them also that synned not wt lyke transgression as dyd Adam: which is ye similitude of him that is to come.

١٥ 15 وَلَكِنَّ الْمَعْصِيَةَ لَيْسَتْ كَالنِّعْمَةِ! فَإِذَا كَانَ الْكَثِيرُونَ بِمَعْصِيَةِ إِنْسَانٍ وَاحِدٍ قَدْ مَاتُوا، فَكَمْ بِالأَحْرَى فِي الإِنْسَانِ الْوَاحِدِ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ تَتَوَافَرُ لِلْكَثِيرِينَ نِعْمَةُ اللهِ وَالْعَطِيَّةُ الْمَجَّانِيَّةُ بِالنِّعْمَةِ.

But the gyfte is not lyke as the synne. For yf thorow the synne of one many be deed: moche more plenteous vpon many was the grace of God and gyfte by grace: which grace was geven by one man Iesus Christ.

١٦ 16 ثُمَّ إِنَّ أَثَرَ خَطِيئَةِ إِنْسَانٍ وَاحِدٍ لَيْسَ كَأَثَرِ الْهِبَةِ! فَإِنَّ الْحُكْمَ مِنْ جَرَّاءِ مَعْصِيَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ يُؤَدِّي إِلَى الدَّيْنُونَةِ. وَأَمَّا فِعْلُ النِّعْمَةِ، مِنْ جَرَّاءِ مَعَاصٍ كَثِيرَةٍ، فَيُؤَدِّي إِلَى التَّبْرِيرِ.

And ye gifte is not over one synne as deeth cam thorow one synne of one yt synned. For damnacion cam of one synne vnto condemnacion: but the gyft cam to iustify fro many synnes.

١٧ 17 فَمَادَامَ الْمَوْتُ بِمَعْصِيَةِ الإِنْسَانِ الْوَاحِدِ، قَدْ مَلَكَ بِذَلِكَ الْوَاحِدِ، فَكَمْ بِالأَحْرَى يَمْلِكُ فِي الْحَيَاةِ بِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ الْوَاحِدِ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَنَالُونَ فَيْضَ النِّعْمَةِ وَعَطِيَّةَ الْبِرِّ الْمَجَّانِيَّةَ.

For yf by the synne of one deeth raigned by the meanes of one moche more shall they which receave aboundance of grace and of the gyfte of rightewesnes raygne in lyfe by the meanes of one (that is to saye) Iesus Christ.

١٨ 18 فَإِذَنْ، كَمَا أَنَّ مَعْصِيَةً وَاحِدَةً جَلَبَتِ الدَّيْنُونَةَ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الْبَشَرِ، كَذَلِكَ فَإِنَّ بِرَّ الْوَاحِدِ يَجْلِبُ التَّبْرِيرَ الْمُؤَدِّيَ إِلَى الْحَيَاةِ لِجَمِيعِ الْبَشَرِ.

Lykewyse then as by the synne of one condemnacion cam on all men: eve so by the iustifyinge of one cometh the rightewesnes that bringeth lyfe vpo all men.

١٩ 19 فَكَمَا أَنَّهُ بِعِصْيَانِ الإِنْسَانِ الْوَاحِدِ جُعِلَ الْكَثِيرُونَ خَاطِئِينَ، فَكَذلِكَ أَيْضاً بِطَاعَةِ الْوَاحِدِ سَيُجْعَلُ الْكَثِيرُونَ أَبْرَاراً.

For as by one manes disobediece many be cam synners: so by ye obediece of one shall many be made righteous.

٢٠ 20 وَأَمَّا الشَّرِيعَةُ فَقَدْ أُدْخِلَتْ لِتُظْهِرَ كَثْرَةَ الْمَعْصِيَةِ. وَلَكِنْ، حَيْثُ كَثُرَتِ الْخَطِيئَةُ، تَتَوَافَرُ النِّعْمَةُ أَكْثَرَ جِدّاً،

But ye lawe in the meane tyme entred in yt synne shuld encreace. Neverthelater where aboundaunce of synne was there was more plenteousnes of grace.

٢١ 21 حَتَّى إِنَّهُ كَمَا مَلَكَتِ الْخَطِيئَةُ بِالْمَوْتِ، فَكَذَلِكَ أَيْضاً تَمْلِكُ النِّعْمَةُ عَلَى أَسَاسِ الْبِرِّ مُؤَدِّيَةً إِلَى الْحَيَاةِ الأَبَدِيَّةِ بِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ رَبِّنَا. (aiōnios g166)

That as synne had raigned vnto deeth even so might grace raygne thorow rightewesnes vnto eternall lyfe by the helpe of Iesu Christ. (aiōnios g166)
