المَزامِير 99

١ 1 الرَّبُّ قَدْ مَلَكَ. فَارْتَعَدَتِ الشُّعُوبُ. جَلَسَ فَوْقَ مَلائِكَةِ الْكَرُوبِيمِ فَاهْتَزَّتِ الأَرْضُ.

The Lord reigneth, let the people tremble: he sitteth betweene the Cherubims, let the earth be moued.

٢ 2 مَا أَعْظَمَ الرَّبَّ فِي صِهْيَوْنَ وَهُوَ مُتَعَالٍ فَوْقَ كُلِّ الشُّعُوبِ.

The Lord is great in Zion, and he is high aboue all the people.

٣ 3 يَحْمَدُونَ اسْمَكَ الْعَظيِمَ الْمَرْهُوبَ لأَنَّهُ قُدُّوسٌ!

They shall prayse thy great and fearefull Name (for it is holy)

٤ 4 قُوَّةُ الْمَلِكِ فِي حُبِّ الحَقِّ. وَأَنْتَ يَا رَبُّ ثَبَّتَّ الإِنْصَافَ وَأَجْرَيْتَ الْحَقَّ وَالْعَدْلَ فِي إِسْرَائِيلَ.

And the Kings power, that loueth iudgement: for thou hast prepared equitie: thou hast executed iudgement and iustice in Iaakob.

٥ 5 عَظِّمُوا الرَّبَّ إِلَهَنَا وَاسْجُدُوا عِنْدَ مَوْطِئِ قَدَمَيْهِ. لأَنَّهُ قُدُّوسٌ!

Exalt the Lord our God, and fall downe before his footestoole: for he is holy.

٦ 6 مُوسَى وَهرُونُ بَيْنَ كَهَنَتِهِ، وَصَمُوئِيلُ بَيْنَ الدَّاعِينَ بِاسْمِهِ، دَعَوْا الرَّبَّ فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ.

Moses and Aaron were among his Priests, and Samuel among such as call vpon his Name: these called vpon the Lord, and he heard them.

٧ 7 خَاطَبَهُمْ فِي عَمُودِ السَّحَابِ: فَأَطَاعُوا أَقْوَالَهُ وَمَارَسُوا أَحْكَامَهُ الَّتِي أَعْطَاهُمْ.

Hee spake vnto them in the cloudie pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the Lawe that he gaue them.

٨ 8 أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهُنَا، أَنْتَ اسْتَجَبْتَ لَهُمْ. غَفَرْتَ لَهُمْ إثْمَهُمْ، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ قَدْ عَاقَبْتَهُمْ جَزَاءَ أَفْعَالِهِمْ.

Thou heardest them, O Lord our God: thou wast a fauourable God vnto them, though thou didst take vengeance for their inuentions.

٩ 9 عَظِّمُوا الرَّبَّ إِلَهَنَا وَاسْجُدُوا فِي جَبَلِ الْمَقْدِسِ، لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَنَا قُدُّوسٌ.

Exalt the Lord our God, and fall downe before his holy Mountaine: for the Lord our God is holy.
