المَزامِير 95

١ 1 هَيَّا نُرَنِّمُ عَالِياً لِلرَّبِّ، وَنَهْتِفُ فَرَحاً لِصَخْرَةِ خَلاصِنَا.

O come, let us sing to the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

٢ 2 لِنَتَقَدَّمْ أَمَامَ حَضْرَتِهِ بِالشُّكْرِ، وَنَهْتِفْ لَهُ بِالتَّرْنِيمِ.

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise to him with psalms.

٣ 3 لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ إِلَهٌ عَظِيمٌ، وَمَلِكٌ كَبِيرٌ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الآلِهَةِ.

For the LORD [is] a great God, and a great King above all gods.

٤ 4 فِي يَدِهِ أَعْمَاقُ الأَرْضِ، وَقِمَمُ الْجِبَالِ مِلْكٌ لَهُ.

In his hand [are] the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills [is] his also.

٥ 5 لَهُ الْبَحْرُ، وَهُوَ قَدْ صَنَعَهُ، وَيَدَاهُ كَوَّنَتَا الْيَابِسَةَ.

The sea [is] his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry [land].

٦ 6 تَعَالَوْا نَسْجُدُ وَنَنْحَنِي، لِنَرْكَعْ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ صَانِعِنَا،

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

٧ 7 فَإِنَّهُ هُوَ إِلَهُنَا، وَنَحْنُ رَعِيَّتُهُ وَقَطِيعُهُ الَّذِي يَقُودُهُ بِيَدِهِ. الْيَوْمَ إِنْ سَمِعْتُمْ صَوْتَهُ،

For he [is] our God; and we [are] the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To-day, if ye will hear his voice,

٨ 8 فَلَا تُقَسُّوا قُلُوبَكُمْ، كَمَا حَدَثَ فِي يَوْمِ مَسَّةَ (أَيْ الامْتِحَانِ) فِي الصَّحْرَاءِ،

Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, [and] as [in] the day of temptation in the wilderness:

٩ 9 عِنْدَمَا امْتَحَنَنِي آبَاؤُكُمْ وَاخْتَبَرُونِي وَشَهِدُوا جَمِيعَ عَجَائِبِي.

When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.

١٠ 10 أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً رَفَضْتُ ذَلِكَ الْجِيلَ، وَقُلْتُ: «هُمْ شَعْبٌ أَضَلَّتْهُمْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَلَمْ يَعْرِفُوا قَطُّ طُرُقِي».

Forty years long was I grieved with [this] generation, and said, It [is] a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

١١ 11 فَأَقْسَمْتُ فِي غَضَبِي قَائِلاً: «إِنَّهُمْ لَنْ يَدْخُلُوا مَكَانَ رَاحَتِي».

To whom I swore in my wrath, that they should not enter into my rest.
