المَزامِير 89

١ 1 قَصِيدَةٌ تَعْلِيمِيَّةٌ لإِيثَانَ الأَزْرَاحِيِّ أَتَرَنَّمُ بِمَرَاحِمِ الرَّبِّ إِلَى الأَبَدِ، وَأُعْلِنُ بِفَمِي أَمَانَتَكَ مِنْ جِيلٍ إِلَى جِيلٍ،

AN INSTRUCTION OF ETHAN THE EZRAHITE. Of the kind acts of YHWH, I sing for all time, From generation to generation I make known Your faithfulness with my mouth,

٢ 2 لأَنِّي قُلْتُ إِنَّ مَرَاحِمَكَ ثَابِتَةٌ إِلَى الأَبَدِ، وَقَدْ ثَبَّتَّ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ أَمَانَتَكَ.

For I said, “Kindness is built for all time, The heavens! You establish Your faithfulness in them.”

٣ 3 قَدْ قُلْتَ: إِنِّي أَقَمْتُ عَهْداً مَعَ الْمَلِكِ الَّذِي اخْتَرْتُهُ، أَقْسَمْتُ لِدَاوُدَ عَبْدِي.

I have made a covenant for My chosen, I have sworn to My servant David:

٤ 4 أُثَبِّتُ نَسْلَكَ إِلَى الأَبَدِ، وَأُبْقِي عَرْشَكَ قَائِماً مِنْ جِيلٍ إِلَى جِيلٍ.

“Even for all time I establish your seed, And have built your throne to generation and generation.” (Selah)

٥ 5 السَّمَاوَاتُ نَفْسُهَا تُشِيدُ بِعَجَائِبِكَ أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ، وَالْمَلائِكَةُ الْقِدِّيسُونَ بِأَمَانَتِكَ.

And the heavens confess Your wonders, O YHWH, Your faithfulness [is] also in an assembly of holy ones.

٦ 6 فَمَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ يُعَادِلُ الرَّبَّ؟ لَيْسَ بَيْنَ الْكَائِنَاتِ السَّمَاوِيَّةِ مَنْ يُمَاثِلُهُ.

For who in the sky, compares himself to YHWH? [Who] is like to YHWH among sons of the mighty?

٧ 7 إِنَّهُ إِلَهٌ مَهُوبٌ جِدّاً فِي مَحْفَلِ المَلائِكَةِ الْقِدِّيسِينَ، وَمَخُوفٌ كَثِيراً عِنْدَ جَمِيعِ الْمُحِيطِينَ بِهِ.

God is very terrible, In the secret counsel of His holy ones, And fearful over all surrounding Him.

٨ 8 مَنْ مِثْلُكَ أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهَ الْجُنُودِ، الرَّبُّ الْقَدِيرُ، وَأَمَانَتُكَ مُحِيطَةٌ بِكَ؟

O YHWH, God of Hosts, Who [is] like You—a strong YAH? And Your faithfulness [is] around You.

٩ 9 أَنْتَ مُتَسَلِّطٌ عَلَى هِيَاجِ الْبَحْرِ، فَتُهَدِّئُ أَمْوَاجَهُ عِنْدَ ارْتِفَاعِهَا.

You [are] ruler over the pride of the sea, In the lifting up of its billows You restrain them.

١٠ 10 أَنْتَ سَحَقْتَ قُوَّةَ مِصْرَ فَصَارَتْ كَقَتِيلٍ. وَبَدَّدْتَ أَعْدَاءَكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ الْعَظِيمَةِ.

You have bruised Rahab, as one wounded. You have scattered Your enemies with the arm of Your strength.

١١ 11 أَنْتَ مَلِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ أَيْضاً. أَنْتَ مُؤَسِّسُ الْمَسْكُونَةِ وَكُلِّ مَا فِيهَا.

The heavens [are] Yours, The earth [is] also Yours, The habitable world and its fullness, You have founded them.

١٢ 12 أَنْتَ خَالِقُ الشِّمَالِ وَالْجَنُوبِ، وَبِاسْمِكَ يَتَرَنَّمُ جَبَلَا تَابُورَ وَحَرْمُونَ.

North and south You have appointed them, Tabor and Hermon sing in Your Name.

١٣ 13 أَنْتَ ذُو الْقُدْرَةِ الْعَظِيمَةِ. يَدُكَ قَوِيَّةٌ وَيُمْنَاكَ رَفِيْعَةٌ.

You have an arm with might, Strong is Your hand—high Your right hand.

١٤ 14 الْبِرُّ وَالْقَضَاءُ قَاعِدَتَا عَرْشِكَ، الرَّحْمَةُ وَالْحَقُّ يَتَقَدَّمَانِ حَضْرَتَكَ.

Righteousness and judgment [Are] the fixed place of Your throne, Kindness and truth go before Your face.

١٥ 15 طُوبَى لِلشَّعْبِ الَّذِي يَسْتَجِيبُ لِهُتَافِ الْبُوقِ فَيَسْلُكُ فِي نُورِ مُحَيَّاكَ أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ.

O the blessedness of the people knowing the shout, O YHWH, they habitually walk in the light of Your face.

١٦ 16 بِاسْمِكَ يَبْتَهِجُونَ طُولَ النَّهَارِ، وَبِبِرِّكَ يَسْمُونَ.

They rejoice in Your Name all the day, And they are exalted in Your righteousness,

١٧ 17 فَإِنَّكَ أَنْتَ قُوَّتُهُمُ الَّتِي بِها يَفْخَرُونَ، وَبِرِضَاكَ يَعْلُو شَأْنُنَا.

For You [are] the beauty of their strength, And in Your good will is our horn exalted,

١٨ 18 لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ هُوَ حِمَايَتُنَا، وَمَلِكُنَا هُوَ قُدُّوسُ إِسْرَائِيلَ.

For our shield [is] of YHWH, And our king to the Holy One of Israel.

١٩ 19 فَبِالرُّؤْيَا كَلَّمْتَ أَنْبِيَاءَكَ قَدِيماً وَقُلْتَ لِعَبِيدِكَ الأُمَنَاءِ: هَيَّأْتُ عَوْناً لِلْجَبَّارِ وَرَفَّعْتُ شَابّاً مِنَ الشَّعْبِ.

Then You have spoken in vision, To Your saint, indeed, You say, I have placed help on a mighty one, Exalted a chosen one out of the people,

٢٠ 20 وَجَدْتُ دَاوُدَ عَبْدِي فَمَسَحْتُهُ بِزَيْتِي الْمُقَدَّسِ.

I have found My servant David, With My holy oil I have anointed him.

٢١ 21 أُثَبِّتُهُ بِيَدِي، وَأُشَدِّدُهُ بِقُوَّتِي.

With whom My hand is established, My arm also strengthens him.

٢٢ 22 لَا يَبْتَزُّهُ عَدُوٌّ، وَلَا يُضَايِقُهُ الإِنْسَانُ الأَثِيمُ.

An enemy does not exact on him, And a son of perverseness does not afflict him.

٢٣ 23 إِنَّمَا أَسْحَقُ أَعْدَاءَهُ أَمَامَهُ، وَأَصْرَعُ مُبْغِضِيهِ.

And I have beaten down his adversaries before him, And I plague those hating him,

٢٤ 24 أَمَانَتِي وَرَحْمَتِي تُرَافِقَانِهِ، وَبِاسْمِي يَعْلُو شَأْنُهُ.

And My faithfulness and kindness [are] with him, And in My Name is his horn exalted.

٢٥ 25 أُطْلِقُ يَدَهُ عَلَى الْبِحَارِ وَيَمِينَهُ عَلَى الأَنْهَارِ.

And I have set his hand on the sea, And his right hand on the rivers.

٢٦ 26 هُوَ يَدْعُونِي قَائِلاً: أَنْتَ أَبِي وَإِلَهِي وَصَخْرَةُ خَلاصِي.

He proclaims to Me: “You [are] my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.”

٢٧ 27 أُقِيمُهُ بِكْراً يَسْمُو عَلَى مُلُوكِ الأَرْضِ.

I also appoint him firstborn, Highest of the kings of the earth.

٢٨ 28 أَحْفَظُ رَحْمَتِي لَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ، وَيَثْبُتُ لَهُ عَهْدِي.

For all time I keep for him My kindness, And My covenant [is] steadfast with him.

٢٩ 29 أُدِيمُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ نَسْلَهُ وَعَرْشَهُ دَوَامَ السَّمَاوَاتِ.

And I have set his seed forever, And his throne as the days of the heavens.

٣٠ 30 إِنِ انْحَرَفَ بَنُوهُ عَنْ طَاعَةِ شَرِيعَتِي وَلَمْ يَسْلُكُوا وَفْقَ أَحْكَامِي،

If his sons forsake My law, And do not walk in My judgments;

٣١ 31 إِنْ نَقَضُوا فَرَائِضِي وَلَمْ يُرَاعُوا وَصَايَايَ،

If they defile My statutes, And do not keep My commands,

٣٢ 32 فَإِنِّي أَفْتَقِدُ مَعْصِيَتَهُمْ بِالْعَصَا وَإِثْمَهُمْ بِالْبَلايَا.

I have looked after their transgression with a rod, And their iniquity with strokes,

٣٣ 33 وَلَكِنِّي لَا أَنْزِعُ رَحْمَتِي عَنْهُ، وَلَا أَنْكُثُ وَعْدِي.

And I do not break My kindness from him, Nor do I deal falsely in My faithfulness.

٣٤ 34 عَهْدِي لَا أَنْقُضُهُ، وَلَا أُبْدِلُ مَا نَطَقَ بِهِ فَمِي.

I do not profane My covenant, And I do not change that which is going forth from My lips.

٣٥ 35 فَقَدْ أَقْسَمْتُ بِقَدَاسَتِي مَرَّةً، وَلَا أَكْذِبُ عَلَى دَاوُدَ:

Once I have sworn by My holiness, I do not lie to David,

٣٦ 36 نَسْلُهُ يَدُومُ إِلَى الدَّهْرِ، وَعَرْشُهُ يَبْقَى أَمَامِي بَقَاءَ الشَّمْسِ.

His seed is for all time, And his throne [is] as the sun before Me,

٣٧ 37 يَظَلُّ ثَابِتاً إِلَى الأَبَدِ ثَبَاتَ الْقَمَرِ الشَّاهِدِ الأَمِينِ فِي السَّمَاءِ.

It is established as the moon for all time, And the witness in the sky is steadfast. (Selah)

٣٨ 38 لَكِنَّكَ رَفَضْتَ وَرَذَلْتَ وَغَضِبْتَ عَلَى الْمَلِكِ الَّذِي مَسَحْتَهُ،

And You, You have cast off, and reject, You have shown Yourself angry with Your anointed,

٣٩ 39 وَتَنَكَّرْتَ لِعَهْدِكَ مَعَ عَبْدِكَ، لَطَّخْتَ تَاجَهُ بِالتُّرَابِ.

Have rejected the covenant of Your servant, You have defiled his crown to the earth,

٤٠ 40 هَدَمْتَ كُلَّ أَسْوَارِهِ وَحَوَّلْتَ حُصُونَهُ خَرَاباً.

You have broken down all his hedges, You have made his fortifications a ruin.

٤١ 41 نَهَبَهُ كُلُّ عَابِرِي السَّبِيلِ، وَصَارَ هُزْأَةً عِنْدَ جِيرَانِهِ.

Everyone passing by the way has spoiled him, He has been a reproach to his neighbors,

٤٢ 42 رَفَعْتَ يَمِينَ ظَالِمِيهِ وَأَبْهَجْتَ جَمِيعَ أَعْدَائِهِ.

You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries, You have caused all his enemies to rejoice.

٤٣ 43 رَدَدْتَ حَدَّ سَيْفِهِ، وَلَمْ تَنْصُرْهُ فِي الْقِتَالِ.

Also—You turn back the sharpness of his sword, And have not established him in battle,

٤٤ 44 أَبْطَلْتَ بَهَاءَهُ وَطَرَحْتَ عَرْشَهُ أَرْضاً.

Have caused [him] to cease from his brightness, And have cast down his throne to the earth.

٤٥ 45 قَصَّرْتَ أَيَّامَ شَبَابِهِ وَغَطَّيْتَهُ بِالْخِزْيِ.

You have shortened the days of his youth, Have covered him over [with] shame. (Selah)

٤٦ 46 حَتَّى مَتَى يَا رَبُّ؟ هَلْ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَظَلُّ مُحْتَجِباً عَنِّي، يَتَّقِدُ غَضَبُكَ كَالنَّارِ؟

Until when, O YHWH, are You hidden? Does Your fury burn as fire forever?

٤٧ 47 اذْكُرْ قِصَرَ عُمْرِي وَأَنَّكَ خَلَقْتَ كُلَّ بَنِي آدَمَ لِلزَّوَالِ.

Remember how [short] my lifetime [is]. Why have You created in vain All the sons of men?

٤٨ 48 أَيُّ إِنْسَانٍ يَحْيَا وَلَا يَرَى الْمَوْتَ؟ وَمَنْ يُنَجِّي نَفْسَهُ مِنْ قَبْضَةِ الْهَاوِيَةِ؟ (Sheol h7585)

Who [is] the man that lives, and does not see death? He delivers his soul from the hand of Sheol. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)

٤٩ 49 أَيْنَ مَرَاحِمُكَ السَّالِفَةُ يَا رَبُّ، الَّتِي أَقْسَمْتَ فِي أَمَانَتِكَ أَنْ تُظْهِرَهَا لِدَاوُدَ عَبْدِكَ؟

Where [are] Your former kindnesses, O Lord, [Which] You have sworn to David in Your faithfulness?

٥٠ 50 اذْكُرْ يَا رَبُّ عَارَ عَبِيدِكَ الَّذِي تَحَمَّلْتُهُ فِي صَدْرِي مِنْ جَمِيعِ الشُّعُوبِ،

Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, I have borne in my bosom all the strivings of the peoples,

٥١ 51 الْعَارَ الَّذِي عَيَّرَنَا بِهِ أَعْدَاؤُكَ يَا رَبُّ، إذْ عَيَّرُوا خَطْوَاتِ الْمَلِكِ الَّذِي مَسَحْتَهُ.

With which Your enemies reproached, O YHWH, With which they have reproached The steps of Your anointed.

٥٢ 52 تَبَارَكَ الرَّبُّ إِلَى الأَبَدِ. آمِينَ ثُمَّ آمِين.

Blessed [is] YHWH for all time. Amen and amen!
