المَزامِير 74

١ 1 مَزْمُورٌ تَعْلِيمِيٌّ لآسَافَ يَا اللهُ لِمَاذَا نَبَذْتَنَا إِلَى الأَبَدِ؟ لِمَاذَا ثَارَ غَضَبُكَ الشَّدِيدُ عَلَى غَنَمِ مَرْعَاكَ؟

[A Psalm] of instruction for Asaph. Therefore have you rejected [us], O God, for ever? [therefore] is your wrath kindled against the sheep of your pasture?

٢ 2 اذْكُرْ جَمَاعَتَكَ الَّتِي اقْتَنَيْتَهَا مُنْذُ الْقِدَمِ، وَالَّتِي افْتَدَيْتَهَا لِتَجْعَلَهَا سِبْطَ مِيرَاثِكَ. اذْكُرْ جَبَلَ صِهْيَوْنَ الَّذِي أَقَمْتَ فِيهِ.

Remember your congregation which you have purchased from the beginning; you did ransom the rod of your inheritance; this mount Sion wherein you have lived.

٣ 3 سِرْ يَا رَبُّ مُسْرِعاً وَسَطَ هَذِهِ الْخَرَائِبِ الدَّائِمَةِ، فَإِنَّ الْعَدُوَّ قَدْ دَمَّرَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ فِي بَيْتِكَ الْمُقَدَّسِ.

Lift up your hands against their pride continually; [because of] all that the enemy has done wickedly in your holy places.

٤ 4 إِنَّ خُصُومَكَ يُزَمْجِرُونَ فِي وَسَطِ مَحْفَلِكَ، وَيَنْصِبُونَ أَصْنَامَهُمْ شَارَاتٍ لِلنَّصْرِ.

And they that hate you have boasted in the midst of your feast; they have set up their standards for signs,

٥ 5 يَظْهَرُ الْعَدُوُّ كَأَنَّهُ يَهْوِي بِالْفُؤُوسِ عَلَى الأَشْجَارِ الْكَثِيفَةِ.

ignorantly as it were in the entrance above;

٦ 6 هَدَمُوا مَنْقُوشَاتِهِ كُلَّهَا بِالْمَطَارِقِ وَالْمَعَاوِلِ.

they cut down its doors at once with axes as in a wood of trees; they have broken it down with hatchet and stone cutter.

٧ 7 أَضْرَمُوا النَّارَ فِي مَقْدِسِكَ، وَدَنَّسُوهُ إِذْ قَوَّضُوا مَقَرَّ اسْمِكَ إِلَى الأَرْضِ.

They have burnt your sanctuary with fire to the ground; they have profaned the habitation of your name.

٨ 8 قَالُوا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ: لِنُبِدْهُمْ جَمِيعاً. وَأَحْرَقُوا كُلَّ مَحَافِلِ اللهِ فِي الْبِلادِ.

They have said in their heart, [even] all their kindred together, Come, let us abolish the feasts of the Lord from the earth.

٩ 9 لَمْ نَعُدْ نَشْهَدُ رُمُوزَ عِبَادَتِنَا، وَلَمْ يَبْقَ نَبِيٌّ بَعْدُ، وَلَيْسَ بَيْنَنَا مَنْ يَعْرِفُ مَتَى تَكُونُ خَاتِمَةُ الأَمْرِ.

We have not seen our signs; there is no longer a prophet; and [God] will not know us any more.

١٠ 10 يَا اللهُ: إِلَى مَتَى يُعَيِّرُنَا الْخَصْمُ؟ أَيَظَلُّ الْعَدُوُّ يَسْتَهِينُ بِاسْمِكَ إِلَى الأَبَدِ؟

How long, O God, shall the enemy reproach? shall the enemy provoke your name forever?

١١ 11 لِمَاذَا تَرْفُضُ أَنْ تَمُدَّ يَدَ الْعَوْنِ؟ لِمَاذَا تُبْقِي يَمِينَكَ خَلْفَكَ؟ أَخْرِجْهَا وَأَفْنِهِمْ.

Therefore turn you away your hand, and your right hand from the midst of your bosom for ever?

١٢ 12 إِنَّمَا اللهُ مَلِكِي مُنْذُ الْقَدِيمِ، صَانِعُ الْخَلاصِ فِي وَسَطِ الأَرْضِ.

But God is our King of old; he has wrought salvation in the midst of the earth.

١٣ 13 أَنْتَ فَلَقْتَ الْبَحْرَ بِقُوَّتِكَ وَحَطَّمْتَ رُؤُوسَ التَّنَانِينِ.

You did establish the sea, in your might, you did break to pieces the heads of the dragons in the water.

١٤ 14 أَنْتَ مَزَّقْتَ رُؤُوسَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَيْشِهِ، وَجَعَلْتَهُ قُوتاً لِلْحَيَوَانَاتِ الْمُتَوَحِّشَةِ

You did break to pieces the heads of the dragon; you did give him [for] meat to the Ethiopian nations.

١٥ 15 فَجَّرْتَ نَبْعاً وَجَدْوَلاً، وَجَفَّفْتَ أَنْهَاراً دَائِمَةَ الْجَرَيَانِ.

You did cleave fountains and torrents; you dried up mighty rivers.

١٦ 16 لَكَ النَّهَارُ وَاللَّيْلُ أَيْضاً. أَنْتَ كَوَّنْتَ الْكَوَاكِبَ الْمُنِيرَةَ وَالشَّمْسَ.

The day is your, and the night is your; you have prepared the sun and the moon.

١٧ 17 نَصَبْتَ حُدُودَ الأَرْضِ، وَخَلَقْتَ الصَّيْفَ وَالشِّتَاءَ.

You have made all the borders of the earth; you have made summer and spring.

١٨ 18 إِنَّمَا اذْكُرْ أَنَّ عَدُوّاً قَدْ عَيَّرَ الرَّبَّ، وَشَعْباً جَاهِلاً قَدِ اسْتَهَانَ بِاسْمِكَ.

Remember this your creation: an enemy has reproached the Lord, and a foolish people has provoked your name.

١٩ 19 لَا تُسَلِّمْ لِلْوَحْشِ نَفْسَ شَعْبِكَ الضَّعِيفِ، وَلَا تَنْسَ إِلَى الأَبَدِ حَيَاةَ جُمْهُورِكَ الْمُضْطَهَدِ.

Deliver not to the wild beasts a soul that gives praise to you: forget not for ever the souls of your poor.

٢٠ 20 اذْكُرِ الْعَهْدَ الَّذِي قَطَعْتَهُ لَنَا، فَإِنَّ الظُّلْمَ كَامِنٌ فِي كُلِّ رُكْنٍ مُظْلِمٍ مِنَ الأَرْضِ.

Look upon your covenant: for the dark [places] of the earth are filled with the habitations of iniquity.

٢١ 21 لَا تَدَعِ الْمُنْسَحِقَ يَرْجِعُ بِالْخِزْيِ، بَلْ لِيُسَبِّحِ اسْمَكَ الْفَقِيرُ وَالْبَائِسُ.

let not the afflicted and shamed one be rejected: the poor and needy shall praise your name.

٢٢ 22 قُمْ يَا اللهُ وَدَافِعْ عَنْ دَعْوَاكَ. اذْكُرْ كَيْفَ يُعَيِّرُكَ الْجَاهِلُ طُولَ النَّهَارِ.

Arise, O God, plead your cause: remember your reproaches that come from the foolish one all the day.

٢٣ 23 لَا تَنْسَ أَصْوَاتَ خُصُومِكَ، فَإِنَّ ضَجِيجَ الثَّائِرِينَ عَلَيْكَ يَتَصَاعَدُ دَائِماً.

Forget not the voice of your suppliants: let the pride of them that hate you continually ascend before you.
