المَزامِير 72

١ 1 لِسُلَيْمَانَ اللهُمَّ أَعْطِ أَحْكَامَكَ الْعَادِلَةَ لِلْمَلِكِ ولابْنِهِ بِرَّكَ،

BY SOLOMON. O God, give Your judgments to the king, And Your righteousness to the king’s Son.

٢ 2 فَيَقْضِيَ لِشَعْبِكَ بِالْعَدْلِ وَمَسَاكِينِكَ بِالإِنْصَافِ.

He judges Your people with righteousness, And Your poor with judgment.

٣ 3 لِتَحْمِلِ الْجِبَالُ لِلشَّعْبِ سَلاماً، وَالتِّلالُ بِرّاً.

The mountains bear peace to the people, And the heights by righteousness.

٤ 4 لِيَحْكُمِ الْمَلِكُ بِالْحَقِّ لِلْمَسَاكِينِ، وَيُنْقِذْ بَنِي الْبَائِسِينَ، وَيُحَطِّمِ الظَّالِمَ.

He judges the poor of the people, Gives deliverance to the sons of the needy, And bruises the oppressor.

٥ 5 لِيَرْهَبُوكَ مَادَامَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ، مِنْ جِيلٍ إِلَى جِيلٍ.

They fear You with the sun, and before the moon, Generation—generations.

٦ 6 لِيَكُنِ الْمَلِكُ كَالْمَطَرِ الْمُنْهَمِرِ عَلَى الْمَرَاعِي الْمَجْزُوزَةِ، كَالْغُيُوثِ الَّتِي تَسْقِي الأَرْضَ.

He comes down as rain on mown grass, As showers—sprinkling the earth.

٧ 7 لِيَزْدَهِرْ فِي أَيَّامِهِ الصِّدِّيقُ، وَيَتَوَافَرِ السَّلامُ مَادَامَ الْقَمَرُ يُضِيءُ.

The righteous flourish in His days, And abundance of peace until the moon is not.

٨ 8 وَلْتَمْتَدَّ مَمْلَكَتُهُ مِنَ الْبَحْرِ إِلَى الْبَحْرِ، وَمِنَ النَّهْرِ إِلَى أَقَاصِي الأَرْضِ.

And He rules from sea to sea, And from the river to the ends of the earth.

٩ 9 أَمَامَهُ يَرْكَعُ أَهْلُ الْبَادِيَةِ، وَأَعْدَاؤُهُ يَلْحَسُونَ التُّرَابَ.

Desert-dwellers bow before Him, And His enemies lick the dust.

١٠ 10 مُلُوكُ تَرْشِيشَ وَالْجُزُرِ يَحْمِلُونَ إِلَيْهِ الْهَدَايَا. مُلُوكُ شَبَا وَسَبَأَ يُقَدِّمُونَ عَطَايَا.

Kings of Tarshish and of the islands send back a present. Kings of Sheba and Seba bring a reward near.

١١ 11 يَنْحَنِي أَمَامَهُ جَمِيعُ الْمُلُوكِ. وَتَتَعَبَّدُ لَهُ كُلُّ الأُمَمِ.

And all kings bow themselves to Him, All nations serve Him,

١٢ 12 لأَنَّهُ يُنْقِذُ الْمِسْكِينَ الْمُسْتَغِيثَ الْبَائِسَ الَّذِي لَا مُعِينَ لَهُ.

For He delivers the needy who cries, And the poor when he has no helper,

١٣ 13 يَعْطِفُ عَلَى الْفَقِيرِ وَالْمُحْتَاجِ وَيُخَلِّصُ نُفُوسَ الْمَسَاكِينِ.

He has pity on the poor and needy, And He saves the souls of the needy,

١٤ 14 إِذْ يَفْتَدِي نُفُوسَهُمْ مِنَ الظُّلْمِ وَالْعُنْفِ، وَيَحْفَظُ حَيَاتَهُمْ لأَنَّهَا ثَمِينَةٌ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ.

He redeems their soul from fraud and from violence, And their blood is precious in His eyes.

١٥ 15 لِيَحْيَ الْمَلِكُ! لِيُعْطَ لَهُ ذَهَبُ شَبَا. وَلْيُصَلُّوا مِنْ أَجْلِهِ دَائِماً وَيَطْلُبُوا لَهُ بَرَكَةَ اللهِ كُلَّ النَّهَارِ.

And He lives, and the gold of Sheba [is] given to Him, And prayer is continually made for Him, All day He is continually blessed.

١٦ 16 لِتَتَكَاثَرِ الْغِلالُ فِي الأَرْضِ وَعَلَى رُؤُوسِ الْجِبَالِ، وَتَتَمَاوَجْ مِثْلَ أَرْزِ لُبْنَانَ، وَيُزْهِرْ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ كَعُشْبِ الأَرْضِ.

There is a handful of grain in the earth, On the top of mountains, Its fruit shakes like Lebanon, And they flourish out of the city as the herb of the earth.

١٧ 17 يَخْلُدُ اسْمُهُ إِلَى الدَّهْرِ، وَيَدُومُ اسْمُهُ كَدَيْمُومَةِ الشَّمْسِ، وَيَتَبَارَكُ النَّاسُ بِهِ، وَتُطَوِّبُهُ كُلُّ الأُمَمِ.

His Name is for all time, Before the sun is His Name continued, And they bless themselves in Him, All nations pronounce Him blessed.

١٨ 18 تَبَارَكَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ، فَهُوَ وَحْدَهُ صَانِعُ الْعَجَائِبِ.

Blessed is YHWH God, God of Israel, He alone is doing wonders,

١٩ 19 تَبَارَكَ اسْمُهُ الْمَجِيدُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ، وَلْتَمْتَلِئِ الأَرْضُ كُلُّهَا مِنْ مَجْدِهِ. آمِين ثُمَّ آمِين.

And blessed [is] the Name of His glory for all time, And the whole earth is filled [with] His glory. Amen and amen!

٢٠ 20 هُنَا تَنْتَهِي صَلَوَاتُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ يَسَّى.

The prayers of David son of Jesse have been ended.
