المَزامِير 71

١ 1 يَا رَبُّ بِكَ احْتَمَيْتُ فَلَا تَدَعْنِي أَخْزَى إِلَى الأَبَدِ.

In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

٢ 2 أَنْقِذْنِي وَفْقاً لِعَدْلِكَ وَنَجِّنِي. أَرْهِفْ إِلَيَّ أُذُنَكَ وَخَلِّصْنِي.

Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thy ear to me, and save me.

٣ 3 كُنْ لِي صَخْرَةَ مَلْجَأٍ أَلُوذُ بِها دَائِماً. أَنْتَ أَمَرْتَ بِخَلاصِي لأَنَّكَ صَخْرَتِي وَحِصْنِي.

Be thou my strong habitation, to which I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou [art] my rock and my fortress.

٤ 4 يَا إِلَهِي أَنْقِذْنِي مِنْ يَدِ الشِّرِّيرِ، مِنْ قَبْضَةِ الأَثِيمِ وَالظَّالِمِ.

Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

٥ 5 فَإِنَّكَ أَنْتَ رَجَائِي أَيُّهَا السَّيِّدُ، وَمَوْضِعُ ثِقَتِي مُنْذُ صِبَايَ.

For thou [art] my hope, O LORD God: [thou art] my trust from my youth.

٦ 6 عَلَيْكَ اعْتَمَدْتُ مُنْذُ وِلادَتِي، وَمِنْ بَطْنِ أُمِّي أَخْرَجْتَنِي، فَإِيَّاكَ أُسَبِّحُ فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ.

By thee have I been sustained from my birth: thou art he that brought me into life: my praise [shall be] continually of thee.

٧ 7 صِرْتُ مَثَارَ اسْتِهْجَانٍ عِنْدَ كَثِيرِينَ، لَكِنَّكَ أَنْتَ مَلْجَإِي الْقَوِيُّ.

I am as a wonder to many; but thou [art] my strong refuge.

٨ 8 لِيَمْتَلِئْ فَمِي مِنْ تَسْبِيحِكَ وَمِنْ تَمْجِيدِكَ طُولَ النَّهَارِ.

Let my mouth be filled [with] thy praise [and with] thy honor all the day.

٩ 9 لَا تَنْبِذْنِي فِي شَيْخُوخَتِي، وَلَا تَخْذِلْنِي عِنْدَ اضْمِحْلالِ قُوَّتِي.

Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

١٠ 10 لأَنَّ أَعْدَائِي يَتَكَلَّمُونَ عَلَيَّ وَالْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ بِي يَتَآمَرُونَ مَعاً.

For my enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,

١١ 11 قَائِلِينَ: «قَدْ تَرَكَهُ اللهُ، فَطَارِدُوهُ وَاقْبِضُوا عَلَيْهِ لأَنَّهُ لَا مُنْقِذَ لَهُ».

Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for [there is] none to deliver [him].

١٢ 12 لَا تَبْتَعِدْ عَنِّي يَا اللهُ. أَسْرِعْ إِلَى مَعُونَتِي يَا إِلَهِي.

O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.

١٣ 13 لِيَخْزَ وَيَبِدْ خُصُومُ نَفْسِي. لِيَكْتَسِ الْعَارَ وَالْهَوَانَ الْمُلْتَمِسُونَ أَذِيَّتِي.

Let them be confounded [and] consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered [with] reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt.

١٤ 14 أَمَّا أَنَا فَإِيَّاكَ أَرْجُو دَائِماً، وَأُكْثِرُ مِنْ تَسْبِيحِكَ.

But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

١٥ 15 أُخْبِرُ بِبِرِّكَ وَخَلاصِكَ طُولَ النَّهَارِ، وَإِنْ كَانَا يَفُوقَانِ إِدْرَاكِي.

My mouth shall show forth thy righteousness [and] thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers [thereof].

١٦ 16 أَجِيءُ (مُؤَيَّداً) بِقُوَّةِ السَّيِّدِ الرَّبِّ، لأَذْكُرَ بِرَّكَ وَحْدَكَ.

I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, [even] of thine only.

١٧ 17 قَدْ عَلَّمْتَنِي يَا اللهُ مُنْذُ صِبَايَ، فَلَمْ أَكُفَّ لَحْظَةً عَنْ إِعْلانِ عَجَائِبِكَ.

O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

١٨ 18 لَا تَتْرُكْنِي فِي الشَّيْخُوخَةِ وَالشَّيْبِ يَا اللهُ، حَتَّى أُخْبِرَ هَذَا الْجِيلَ بِأَعْمَالِ قُدْرَتِكَ، وَبِقُوَّتِكَ (الْجِيلَ) الآتِي.

Now also when I am old and gray-headed, O God, forsake me not; until I have shown thy strength to [this] generation, [and] thy power to every one [that] is to come.

١٩ 19 بِرُّكَ مُتَعَالٍ يَا اللهُ، وَأَعْمَالُكَ الَّتِي صَنَعْتَ عَظِيمَةٌ، فَمَنْ مِثْلُكَ يَا اللهُ!

Thy righteousness also, O God, [is] very high, who hast done great things: O God, who [is] like to thee!

٢٠ 20 أَنْتَ الَّذِي اجْتَزْتَ بِنَا ضِيقَاتٍ كَثِيرَةً وَقَاسِيَةً، وَلَكِنَّكَ تَعُودُ فَتُحْيِينَا، وَتُصْعِدُنَا مِنْ جَدِيدٍ مِنْ أَعْمَاقِ الأَرْضِ.

[Thou], who hast shown me great and severe troubles, wilt revive me again, and wilt bring me again from the depths of the earth.

٢١ 21 تَزِيدُنِي شَرَفاً وَتُطَوِّقُنِي بِتَعْزِيَتِكَ.

Thou wilt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

٢٢ 22 سَأَحْمَدُكَ وَأُشِيدُ بِحَقِّكَ عَلَى الرَّبَابِ يَا إِلَهِي. أَشْدُو لَكَ عَلَى الْعُودِ يَا قُدُّوسَ إِسْرَائِيلَ.

I will also praise thee with the psaltery, [even] thy truth, O my God: to thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

٢٣ 23 تَبْتَهِجُ شَفَتَايَ عِنْدَمَا أُرَنِّمُ لَكَ، وَكَذَلِكَ نَفْسِي الَّتِي فَدَيْتَهَا.

My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

٢٤ 24 وَيَلْهَجُ لِسَانِي بِبِرِّكَ الْيَوْمَ كُلَّهُ، لأَنَّ السَّاعِينَ إِلَى أَذِيَّتِي يَحِلُّ حَتْماً بِهِمِ الْخِزْيُ وَالْعَارُ.

My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought to shame, that seek my hurt.
